Great Build and Great Look!
" This was a great build. It wasn't repetitious as some builds can be. The steering and rear lift are very cleverly done and was fun to watch evolve over the build. The inclusion of extra customization is awesome and really change the look/feel of the car.
I labelled it as challenging because there are a couple of spots early on that require a bit of dexterity. Younger builders might need help...or maybe I'm just getting old! :)
I did have similar issues that others have pointed out. I had some marks on the windscreens and the stripe prints weren't exactly lined up from piece to piece, but neither are deal breaking as the model still looks great. The imperfections are only really noticeable upon close examination. "

Must Have for Bond Fans
" Being both a lifelong LEGO and James Bond fan, I was super excited to see this set announced. The build does take some time and has some challenging sections, but overall is a very satisfying experience. Some of the action features are not as smooth as they could be, but in all, it is a pretty amazing model. I hope this inclusion into the LEGO line-up has opened to door to potential future iconic Bond vehicles like Little Nellie (the gyrocopter from You Only Live Twice) and the submarine Lotus Esprit (from the Spy Who Loved Me). Great set, but....
" This is an awesome design and execution of a loved puzzle game of my past. There is a lot of mention of "flaws" in other reviews, but it really doesn't affect the playability of set. The frames may be a little flimsy, but with care, this shouldn't be a big problem.
Here is where the "but" comes in though.... In my 40+ years of making LEGO sets, this is the first where there was a piece missing!!! ACK! Every set I have built, I always have that paranoia that there will be a piece missing. Well, this was the one. A 1x4 tile piece. Fortunately, I was able to complete the build without it, but I now have to wait for customer service to send the part. I guess it had to happen to me sometime! :)
Bottom line, great set by a great designer (check out his Youtube channel!) and definitely worth it. "

Much Mini Love
" As an owner of a 2006 British Racing Green MINI Cooper S with a white roof and white bonnet stripes, I, of course, had to own this model. This is a brilliant kit and was fun to assemble. Features such as the picnic basket and blanket and the inclusion of a full size spare tire (even my car doesn't have that) make this model really special. The build itself was not overly difficult, but does take a long time, given the large number of pieces. Younger builders with shorter attention spans might be put off by the amount of time it takes to build. Also, this isn't a model for playing, but rather more of a display model, in my opinion. Again, younger builders might not appreciate this so much.
If you love Minis (or MINIs) you have to get this model. It is a wonderful tribute to a really cool car. "

Fun, Easy-to-Build Model
" I enjoyed the simplicity of this model and well as its look. This wasn't a challenging model to build. I only have a couple of minor gripes. One is that I don't like stickers, and this has a couple, but you can get away without using them without deterring to much from the look of the set. The other gripe is that there isn't a clever way to stow the grill (and hot dogs). So for display purposes, you either have to stow the grill in the caravan section, which can be seen through the windows, or displayed as if it is in use. It would have been neat if they could have incorporated a way to hide the grill away. But these are not major complaints. It was fun to build. "
