It's okay...
" I bought this for my father - he loves trains, I love trains, we build Lego together. He gets everything put together and we hurry to get it all set up for Christmas, except we can't get the engine to go with any consistency.
The wheels turn when we run it not on the track. But whether just the engine or pulling all the cars, the most he can get is 5 laps before it dies. We have done 3 sets of batteries, we have swapped connections. The normal is 3 laps then dies, and if you try it again in a few hours, you'll get another 3 laps. There's a whine when it runs on the track. And certainly not with any speed.
Dad's crushed. He wanted nothing more than to show off his trains to his other daughter and her children and he was frustrated so didn't bother.
The crane pops off it's stand when you lift any sort of weight with it.
It's also an insane amount of batteries: 9 AAA total. Maybe change it to be bigger batteries for more oomph. "

I shall love him and hug him and call him George
" So I go into a Lego store to Pick A Brick and walk out with multiple impulse buys, this being the first I grabbed. And I agree with other reviewers in that you want multiple sets to have them all out.
They're so cute. No matter what other Lego I have on display, the critters get the attention and end up being played with. I love the articulation. They stand up very well to being handled.
I also love having seasonal/holiday themes, so the bunny with flowers really looks great for spring! "

2 out of 3 ain't bad
" I bought it for the digger, I adore the digger and it's adorable.
Front-end loader is cute.
Dump truck? It should have been cute but following the instructions, it looked nothing like the pictures - ended up with this weird gap and just not right. I built it twice, just in case, and had another friend build it, since she thought I was crazy, same result. It was disappointing.
But the digger is still adorable and I would have bought it for $5 without it being 3-in-1. "

Gateway Lego...
" While I bought this for myself since I adore vehicle sets, I gave to my dad first, since he's always teasing his adult daughter for playing with toys. Turns out, he was just putting up a good front to the point he's talking about buying bins of Lego off eBay for himself. It was a little small, but still a lot of fun. The pieces are basic enough that you can really build quite a few things outside of the 3 versions.
Hopefully, I can bribe him with another set so I can have my turn! "

No regrets
" I really enjoyed putting this together and I'm looking forward to rebuilding it again. Very solid, not too difficult (challenging is the wrong word, but it was a step above the other builds I've done).
Love the double-faces for each of the minifigs.
My only complaint is the inside of the box is black, making it hard to find pieces. "
