"This was the only Lego Movie set I was interested in purchasing...but then...I figured I'd want Emmet and Wyldstyle and bought others...after building this set, I may be purchasing other 2 n 1 sets.
Great things about this set: Minifigs - all 3 printed front and back torsos lots of ice cream cones (6, and icecream in white, green, blue, and orange) bright color scheme Rapid fire flick fire missiles that work extremely well in the Micro Manager (and I hate flick fire missles because they usually are difficult to use -- like the ones incorporated on the flying machine version of this set) Interesting flying machine -- quite "swooshable", if rather bumblebee shaped (huge body, little wings) respectable ice cream truck
Bad thing about the set: STICKERS!!!!
Critique - the ice cream truck is very tall, compared to any minifigure. The window through which ice cream would be served is higher than a minifigure's head.
The Micro Manager is quite well designed. The flick fire missiles are loaded into a 'clip' that as you fire one missile, the clip lowers, dropping the next missile into place to be fired.
This is a great set. Because of this, I am very tempted to purchase some of the other 2n1 sets..."
Great things about the set: NEW SCOOTER PIECE New 2x2 inverted dome in white 4 new printed Cookie pieces NO STICKERS!!!!
Critique: Not sure if I would like to eat chocolate chip cookies while drinking lemonade...but I'd love a lemon meringue tart with my lemonade.
When will Mia be opening up a stand in my neighborhood?
It would have been nice to have had new piece for lemons and limes instead of 1x2 round bricks, but...weren't there already enough new pieces in this set? :-)
Excellently designed set. The moment I saw this set I knew I needed to have it."
"Great things about this set: colorful pieces NO STICKERS!!!!! lots of food/harvest pieces, carrots, green tops, new strawberry printed pieces, red apples, jam/jelly jars tractor set built with all basic bricks -- no fancy vehicle bases or weird big chuck pieces
Critique: back of tractor is a bit open so Olivia can fall off accidentally garden (with harvest) is a bit small
The 2 main builds of this set are the tractor and the fruit stand for selling the produce. There is a tree and a small garden, and a sort of a doghouse."
"I bought this set primarily for the minifigs and constructed figures (snail and Unikitty). I built it after building the Melting Room, so the colors were a very nice bright surprise after the dull and drab colors of that build.
Great things of note about this set: MInifigs are very nice NO STICKER SHEET!!!!!! lots of bright colors. flower power launcher works decently Unikitty Snail
Critique: colors are brighter than they appear on the box passageways/build is not clear from box photos...much better to see the set finally constructed set seems small for a palace"
"Good things about the set: Wyldstyle minifig with hood up Emmet minifig with straight face 3 total minifigs sturdy construction Good value piece vs. price
Biggest complaint about set: Melting ray gun has only 3 points of articulation, could have used at least 1 more. The hinge (articulation point 1) at the base in only 1 position (closed), allows gun to point at restraining chair. Only 1 hinge allows vertical positioning of weapon. The final point of articulation is at the top, and allows for some horizontal articulation.
Not having seen the movie yet, I have heard that this set fits the scene from the movie well, which is a very nice tie-in, and I will be looking to see this set in the movie."
"This is a nice set, however, it contains relatively few pieces for the asking price.
Pros: cute ornament, ornament 'ball' can be used to house other creations, this is (in my opinion) the best rendition of a small brick built Santa that Lego Group has offered.
Cons: not many pieces, no instructions on how to open the ball package
To open the ball, DO NOT UNTIE the bow, the ball separates at both the top and the bottom, it is not hinged. Pull the two halves of the ball directly apart. You will need to cut the yellow 'hang' tab off."
"This set contains a quantity of food item Lego bricks for a very reasonable price.
Good things about this set (why you should buy it): Complete turkey assembly 3 sausages 1 carrot (2 carrot tops, however?) 1 pie 2 minifigures -- both are dressed for a more formal occasion, but the guy seems to have misplaced his razor, as he has stubble all over his face. 2 bottles 2 clear mugs 2 cats (I wish they had printed faces) (if I keep listing the pieces, the review will be bigger than the set)
Critique (very minor): table is very large (in relation to minifig size). It does hold all the food, however, and it is nice to have 2 6x6 tan plates. The table does not have any seating for the minifigs.
I bought 2 of these sets and am very happy with them.
The Lego group has really come up with some great seasonal polybags this year, I hope this continues. It is easier (when on a tight budget) to spend money on smaller, less expensive sets than on larger sets."
"For a very low price, one gets 3 minifigures, 3 printed mushroom caps, a wheelbarrow, and a few other miscellaneous pieces.
Cons: from the product image, lots of pieces (fallen leaves) are not connected to anything. Perhaps when I build the set, I will somehow try to get all the leaves back onto the trees. It will be challenging to build a model other than trees from the pieces supplied...hmm...maybe some weird green bodied animal with brown legs...
Pros: low cost, 3 minifigures, 3 printed mushroom caps, wheelbarrow. Looks like a hard day of raking the leaves to me..."
"I had my eye on this set for a while, as it was available on Lego's European site for quite some time before it was available on Lego's USA site.
Pros: 2 minifigures nicely designed cherry tree with blossoms and cherries attractive fountain low price!!!
Cons: shipping cost (was half again as much as the model). Perhaps I should have spent $75 on other products to get free shipping?
Mild Criticism....cherries are not ripe while the trees are still blossoming. So, should either have blossoms or cherries. However, both look great on the tree as it is.
This is a great set. Male and Female Minifigs can stroll through the park, sit on the bench...eat some cherries off the tree. Perhaps the guy can scare the girl with the frog he collected at the fountain. Or, perhaps, since he is a jerk, she'll kiss the frog and hope for her Prince Charming to appear.
Since this is a set in the USA (now), perhaps a George Washington minifig (with axe) would have been nice... :-P"
