Great Set, Great Value
" This set is fantastic. Not only is it one of the best deals out there, but even without the great price this set is awesome!
The Minifigures: The minifigures are easily the best part of this set. The amount of minifigures you're getting for the amount of money you're spending is something that can only be matched in other 10 dollar City starter packs. However, the minifigures in this set are much better then minifigures in other starter sets, because they have lots of variety and usage. There is a mail carrier, a helicopter pilot, and two airport workers. You get all different heads, hair/hats, torsos, and 2 different types of legs. The mail charier torso is hard to find in other sets, and this is the cheapest way to get it. The pilot looks good, and the two airport workers could be used as workers most anywhere. The torsos are fairly generic, and the light blue color scheme fits with many other things.
Honestly, the minifigures are what make or beak this set. If you, or whoever you are buying this for, likes the minifigures, it's a good buy. If the minifigures don't look appealing to you, don't buy it. While there are lots of other cool things about this set, the minifigures are hands down the best part. If you don't like the minifigures in this set, I'd recommend looking at the other City starter sets to see if they appeal to you. (I put all the ones currently available in the recommended products section of this review)
The Helicopter: I'm not a big fan of helicopters, but I will give credit where credit is due. This helicopter can seat one figure, and has two yellow mailbox pieces on it to put mail into. It's not the best helicopter I've seen from LEGO at this size, but it is very easy to play with, and it doesn't look all that bad. Younger fans will most likely enjoy playing with the helicopter, and older fans can use the pieces for other things.
Other components: While only one minifigure is directly related to mail, you get lots of other mail-related items. There are three pieces of mail included, 1 red mailbox with a sticker on it, and, as previously mentioned, two yellow mailboxes on the helecopter with stickers on them. The mailbox uses hardly any pieces, but it serves it's purpose. There is also a built up fuel can that looks very nice, and can be used for further play. Included is a hand cart that can be used to carry mail or the oil can. Lastly, there is a pair of handheld illumination beacons that you can give to one of the airport workers.
Play value: For most younger fans, this set will be pretty fun to play with. You get enough minifigures and parts to play out a fun scene, and you can use all these minifigures with other city sets for further play. While this is technically an airport starter set, it could aslo be called a mail starter set, because there are so many mail related things included. This gives you more play options, which I appreciate. This set easily could have just had a generic helicopter with some generic cargo, but when you add in all the mail things, it makes the set much more enjoyable.
Value for money: For the amount of parts and minifiguers you're getting, 10 dollars is a pretty cheap price. Even if the price was a few dollars higher, I'd still say it's a good deal. Most any City starter set is a great buy, but like I said, I think this is probably the best City starter set out there.
In conclusion, this set is great for most anyone, children and adult LEGO fans alike. If you think the minifigures are good, order this set right now, it's fairly cheap, and DEFINITELY worth the price. "

Great for Minecraft Fans, but ONLY Minecraft Fans
" This set is great, but it's really only a good buy for fans of minecraft. For someone who doesn't like minecraft, there are a lot of things in this set that they will not be able to use, and there are better options.
Pros: This set comes with lots of good minecraft related parts. For any minecraft fan, this set would be fantastic, and I would recommend it! Here are the various minecraft components you get:
-A crafting table
-A furnace
-A torch
-A diamond pickax
-An iron ore block
-A pumpkin
-A flower
And of course, you get a Zombie, a pig, Alex, and an Iron Golem. It also has many standard stone blocks and dirt blocks. For someone who's into minecraft, specifically lego minecraft, this is a great way to grow your collection. The only thing in this set that you would not need two of is Alex. You could even purchase multiple of these if you're looking to stock up on pigs, zombies, or iron golems.
The set is also very playable. There is a cool feature where you can build an iron golem out of blocks and a pumpkin, and then flip a switch to make a real iron golem pop out of the ground. While it may be a little hard to put together, the end result is undeniably cool.
Cons: The main problem with this set is that it's not a good buy for non-minecraft fans. There are lots of parts with minecraft related prints that wouldn't be useful to standard builders. And the minifigures have obvious minecraft prints on them, so the only part of the minifigures you can use for anything else is the legs. This set is probably a waste of money if you're buying it for someone who's not into the game. While many LEGO sets are good for almost anyone, this one is targeted towards a specific demographic. It doesn't make the set bad, but you have to know who to buy it for.
In short, make sure the person you're buying this for is a minecraft fan. If they're not, I recommend getting a 20 dollar City or Creator set, they will probably enjoy it much more. However, if they ARE a minecraft fan, they're sure to love this set. "

Great great great!
" As someone already mentioned, this part does come in a lot of large sets these days. But some LEGO fans only buy smaller sets, so I think it's fair to say not everyone has one of these.
This is one of the most useful things you can get from LEGO. It's good for prying up tiles, separating small plates from each other, and getting Technic parts out of each other. I have 4 of these, and I wouldn't mind getting more, because I'm always working on projects and I leave them all over my room. Sometimes it's hard to find one!
If you don't already have one, buy this right now, or get your hands on it by buying a large set. "

Good, but really only for Ninjago Fans
" If you want to buy this for a Ninjago fan, make sure they've seen Season 6, Skybound. If they have, I would definitely get this set. It's fantastic... For a Ninjago fan. For anyone else, eh... well...
Don't get me wrong, this is a fine set. But it's really only a great set if you've seen the show. With most other sets I get, I can see any LEGO fan enjoying the set, but the problem here is that the set is very iconic, but the pieces aren't the best.
I myself am a Ninjago fan, and if you want to buy this for a Ninjago fan, by all means do. It's one of the most prominent ships in Season 6, and all the characters included are important to the story. So let's start there.
Zane looks great, although not as good as some of his previous versions. Any Zane fan will be happy to have him. Clancee (the green snake) looks good, although his open mouth makes him look very fierce, but in the show he is portrayed as the timid character. Still, it's great to get him. Doubloon (the other guy) is probably my favorite minifigure out of the 3, even though he's not my favorite Sky Pirate. He has a double sided face, and each side is an upside-down version of the other side. It's something that you don't notice in the show, but once you get the minifigure you really appreciate it. All the minifigures in this set are great, no complaints here.
Now let's talk about the accessories. The Djinn blade is very nice looking, although Jay is almost never in the Djinn blade in the show, and he's in the Djinn blade in this set. Clancy gets a mop and bucket, which is exactly what he uses in the show. Doubloon is given swords, which look very nice, but I think he used a staff in the show. Ah well, not a big deal. Zane indirectly gets his Gold Shirakins in this set, which is very nice. He also gets two gold swords which slide into slots on his shoulder armor, and I think those look fantastic.
Zane's little flying vehicle is very good looking, and fun to play with. It's a nice addition to the set with only a few pieces, and while it's never used in the show it's good to get something for Zane to ride around in.
Now let's get to the part of the set that I think is the only problem, the Raid Zepplin itself. Again, if you've seen the show, as I have, you will love this. And I love the Raid Zepplin. It has some cannons you can use, it can be flown around, it's very fun. But the problem is, for LEGO fans who haven't seen the show, it won't be very good. The ship is bulky and awkward, and if you haven't seen the show you probably won't like it very much.
Another thing is the parts are not very good. They're not bad necessarily, but for 30 dollars, you can buy a cool police set, or a LEGO Batman movie set that kids who aren't fans of Ninjago will like a lot more, and has much better parts. Now if you're buying this for an adult, an important thing to note is that the hot air balloon pieces CAN NOT BE USED TO BUILD A HOT AIR BALLOON. This is because you need 8 of those parts to make a complete hot air balloon, and this set only has 7. I would buy a 30 dollar creator set if you want a set for the parts, creator sets have a much better part to price ratio.
In short, for Ninjago fans this is really awesome, for other LEGO fans this is meh. "

Best City Set of the Year!
" There is absolutely no reason not to buy this set. With 14 minifigs and a baby minifig, each minifigure is less then 3 dollars, and that's not including all the small builds you get with this set. This is a fantastic set for anyone who wants to grow their minifigure collection, it provides so many great torsos, hair pieces, and heads.
The various things like the marry go round and soccer goal are fun to play with, so younger fans will enjoy doing things with this set.
What you see in the pictures of the set are what you get, so if you want more minifigures, this is the best deal you're going to get these days. Stop reading right now and order this set. :P If you're not interested in minifigures, this set isn't for you.
This would also make a GREAT GIFT for any LEGO fan of any age! I can't imagine anyone NOT being excited when opening this up.
This is hands down the best city set of 2016, not just because it's a good deal, but because it's a really great set. "

Small Set. Amazing Value.
" This set is about as close as you get to a Hobbit Battle Pack.
I mean, 2 Gundabad Orcs, a Warg, two Elf Archers, an Elf Gaurd and Thranduil? This has battle pack written all over it.
My favorite thing about this set would have to be the minifigures. The 2 Gundabad Orcs are standard. One has some very nice looking shoulder armor. I love the look of the Gundabad Orcs much more then the hunter Orcs we got back in 2012. Then there's the Warg. This Warg looks amazing. We've gotten two Wargs before in dark grey and white, but this one has a dark brown color. It comes off looking amazing. Next there's the three Elves. The Gaurd looks great, with the nicely printed torso and legs, and I love the Elven shields that are included in the set, as the Gaurd looks even better armed with a shield and an Elvish knife. Next, there's the archers, and they look even better. Swapping out Elf hair for hoods and knives and shields for quivers and bows, these Archers are top of the line fantastic. They look exactly like the ones depicted in the movie. Final, we have Thranduil. The only iconic Character included, Thranduil was a good choice, and looks great with his red colored cape and shield and long sword.
Now the actual set. The set depicts a wall, probably one of the walls near the river that is shown in the movie. It comes off looking amazing, with a tan and dark tan color scheme. The wall is bendable at two places, meaning it can be a straight wall, or a curved wall. On the other side of the wall, there are two small platforms to put minifigures on. Next is a tree that's actually part of the wall, having a small hollowed out center with a barrel inside. The top of the tree has a platform to put minifigures on that can rotate, and a catapult feature that can shoot an elf out of the tree. Finally, there is a small weapon rack that can hold two weapons. The last thing included is a small ladder for the Orcs to use to try and climb over the wall.
The weapons are as fallows: 1 long sword, 1 Elf dagger (dagger of time), 3 long bows, 2 quivers, 1 spear, 1 large Orc sword, and 2 Elf shields.
To recap, the model is great, the minifigures are amazing, and the price per part is great two. This set is also a great add on to the Battle of Five Armies set, because it features the same color scheme (tan and dark tan) and the minifigures included in this set inhance The Battle of Five Armies set, which only includes 1 Elf, Legolas.
I would highly recommend this set to any Lord of the Rings/Hobbit fan, and would also recommend it to a general LEGO fan, just for the pieces. I hope you'll consider buying this set, because it's one of my favorite Hobbit sets, and it's definitely worth the money.

Could this set be any better? I think not!
" When I saw this set, I couldn't believe my eyes.
Everyone knows that Lego would NEVER make a set with Galadriel, Elrond, and the Witch King all in one set, right? WRONG!
This set is unbelievably amazing. Never before have I seen such an outstanding set. While the price per part is a little lacking, this is made up for by the inclusion of three exclusive minifigures and two exclusive characters. As an added bonus, there are enough pieces included to make a complete skeleton as well. A long sword and an elf blade are included along with a white jewel to simulate The Light of Eärendil. And, if simply having these amazing figures isn't enough, two very nice play feature are included. By mounting a minifigure on a stud on the elevated walkway, you can flip a switch on the back of the model and the minifigure will move! The other play feature is the catapult, which is visible on the left side of the model.
And if that's not enough? Did I mention this set can be combined with Dol Guldur Battle and Dol Guldor Ambush to make a giant model? Well, I have to say, this is the all around best Lord of the Rings or Hobbit set I've seen. I hope you'll consider buying it, it's an amazing addition to any collection.
So, I'll leave you with one more thing. If you've seen the movie, you'll know that even when you combine this set with the two other sets, there's still one character missing. That's right, Saruman the White. So, I would also recommend that while the other Dol Guldur sets are great, The Wizard battle set is what you need to complete this scean. You'll have Gandulf, Galadriel, Elrond, The Witch King, and Saruman, along with two small models.
To recap, the minifigures are great, the set is great, and it can be combined with more sets.

What can I say? This set rocks!
" I have always liked Friends sets, as they open up new color schemes and pieces. I was not surprised to see this set when it first came out. This set is great, containing had to find items such as two ice cream cones and two Popsicles, a red bike, and a mail box. While I did buy it for the parts, the play value is great. This set includes four different components:
-Ice cream cart: This cart came out looking amazing, capturing the look of the real thing while using a bicycle piece. The side clips hold an umbrella with a printed piece showing ice cream on one side, and two ice cream cones on the other side. The main part of the cart has a freezer where you can keep the Popsicles, and on the very end is a small place to put the ice cream.
-Fountain: A small fountain is included with the set. This was a great decision by the designers, and with only a few pieces, they managed to create a very nice fountain on a circular base. The fountain is made of white bricks, with a section sticking up in the middle that sprouts water. The edge is decorated with flowers. The fountain is a nice addition to this set.
-Table: A small table with two benches ins included. You can seat two minidolls at the table, but the set only includes one. On the ground around the table are a few flours, adding a small amount of detail. On the table is a water bottle that looks very realistic along with a letter that goes with the final component of this set.
-Mailbox: While I already have a few of these mailbox pieces, they are somewhat uncommon, and nice to find in a cheap set. A printed 2x2 tile is included so that you can simulate actual mail.
Overall, this set is great. The price per part is good, and a minidoll is included. This is a great way to get uncommon parts, and a nice set all around. Friends fans and MOC maker alike will love this set, and I would highly recommend it!
