The Ninja of Earth has a ... Jet!
" I got this set a couple months ago, but I haven't had time to write a review about it until now. But here it is!
This set is amazing. It has quite a few good pieces, such as 8 Spring-Loaded shooters, and some brown 'rock' molded pieces. This set has 3 Minifigures (pretty average for a 30 dollar set), which are very nice and have a lot of detail. The main build is actually a lot larger than I expected, but I'll get to that later.
Minifigures:
Cole:
In this set, we get Cole in his Zukin suit. This is one of the 2 sets that Cole was released in in the 2015 spring wave. The detailing on the Minifigure is amazing. The gold and brown highlights on this figure make him look great. He also has his symbol on the front of his hood. (I'm not exactly sure what the symbols mean, but they have been on every suit since 2013.) He has both leg and back printing, which is nice, and his head is just the same as it's always been. I'd give this character a 8.5 - 10.
Zugu:
Zugu is an interesting character, also seen in 2 sets. He has the average Anacondrai tattoos on his face and body, and also wears the same skull helmet. His torso is very well detailed. It says on the Ninjago Website that he is an ex-Sumo wrestler, so he is very fat. He is also the only human Anacondrai Warrior that wears armor. The armor is a very detailed new mold, and has a skeleton ribcage on the back. I'd give this character an 8 - 10.
Anacondrai Warrior:
This appears in 3 sets. He is basically just your average Anacondrai Warrior, with purple pants, white and purple tattoos, and snake printing all over him. I'd give him a 7 - 10.
Main Build:
This jet is awesome. I was doubting about getting it at first, and was thinking about going for the Anacondrai Copter, but I'm happy I decided to go with this one. Once built, this jet is big. It's nearly the size of the one on the box! There is a pull out Technic handle on the back, so it makes it easier to fly the jet when played with. I thought that it would make the jet look ugly, but it really doesn't take away from the look of it. It also makes nice landing gear. There are lots of play features in this set, but the main function is the rapid fire Spring-Loaded shooter barrel. This thing is massive! It also works quite well. When a gear is rotated on the side of the jet, the barrel rotates, (quite quickly) and the missiles are triggered on a small Technic ball in the front. I've only successfully fired about 5 in one sitting (out of 8) but the barrel can be spun for a more 'rapid fire'. These things shoot long and hard: aim them in an open area. Fortunately, there is another missile that is given as an extra just in case one is lost.
One more thing I wanted to mention about this set is an extra piece. I had previously gotten a set with an Anacondrai Blade in it. The set was larger, but had only one blade. This one had 2! I checked the directions, and it said there should only be one. So, be on the lookout for extra weapons to expand the Anacondrai Weaponry! :)
Overall, I'd give this set a good 8.5 out of 10. It's great for play and display, so don't hesitate to get this set. "

The Fastest Man Alive - In LEGO!
" I got this set for my birthday last year, and I was defiantly not disappointed with this set. I never owned a Batmobile, or a Riddler, and of course, a FLASH, so I though this would be a great addition to my Lego collection.
The Batman in this set looks really awesome; I'm glad they finally decided to update his suit. But, sadly, they didn't change the expression on his face; still serious and smiling, as always. Still, a great Minifigure, though.
The Riddler looks way better than any of the other Riddlers before. He has a green bowler cap, an updated face, and a very cool suit with green and dark green as the 2 main colors. He is always a very cool bad guy, and now he looks even cooler than he ever has before in Lego.
The Flash is probably the main reason I wanted this set. The Flash has always been my favorite DC superhero, and it was great to see that he finally entered the Lego World. ( He also starred in the Lego Movie, as part of Metalbeards 'Hearty Crew'.) His new head and head piece look awesome. I wish, though, that he could have had a little printing on his legs. Just some yellow highlights, or something. But, he still looks great anyway.
Main Build:
The 2 vehicles in this set are very cool. The Riddler's dragster doesn't have many functions, (other than a detachable bomb on the back) but is very sturdy, and it works quite well.
The Batmobile is also a very cool vehicle, but... it didn't reach my expectations 100%... let me explain:
First off, I was disappointed at the fact that the window above the cockpit doesn't detach any other way than pulling it of completely. Another thing I didn't like was the 'squished' look of the vehicle. It looks amazing from the top, but from the side, it looks kind of like someone stepped on it, and it didn't pop back up ;) But, those are just minor (kind of) details.
Overall, this was a nice set to get and build, with some good play features and great characters. "

Utapau Chase
" This set contained so many great things, I don't know where to start! A movie accurate General Grievous, Obi-Wan, a new Wheel Bike, and TONS of functions! This is BY FAR the best set released in 2014.
Minifigures:
Grievous is one of the main reasons I bought this set; I originally hadn't thought of getting it, until my Clone Wars Grievous broke. Then I saw this set: $25, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and a movie accurate Grievous! He his basically exactly the same as the Clone Wars version, just some printing differences, and the color. I defiantly prefer this one to the Clone Wars one.
Obi-Wan always is a great Minifig, but this is the best Episode III depiction yet! Complete with a new torso, and accurate Jedi Robe printing on the legs, this Obi-Wan is the best yet. The one thing I don't like about this set, though, is the lack of Lightsaber. But, after finally realizing that this was taken from the scene in the movie when Obi jumps off the Boga, I guess it makes sense that he doesn't have his Saber. (But why did Grievous have his?)
Main Build:
This set is 100 times better than the original 2005 Wheel Bike Chase. Even though it's lacking the Boga, I think it's much better. The bike itself looks much more movie accurate, and the legs are very articulated. The only problem with that, though, is the fact that it sometimes has a hard time standing up. That's only a minor problem, it only happens occasionally. I loved the fact that they used a clear version of a center of a wheel (I don't exactly know how to describe it) to make the middle of the bike, and covered the outside with the grey, black, light grey and silver pieces. My absolute favorite part of this set is the trans-purple pieces. This depicts my favorite scene from the movie: when Grievous types in his password to start the bike. I don't know exactly why, but that made me laugh since the first time I saw the movie. That was a great little addition.
This, again, is my favorite set released in 2014. Because it's been on the shelves for over a year, I would recommend getting this before it retires! "

Ninja-Tank!
" If a ninja ever owned a tank, this would be the one! This is an epic Nindroid machine, and is definitely a force to be reckoned with.
Minifigures:
This set come with Zane in his Techo-Robes (un-battle damaged). I actually prefer Zane in this costume to the battle damaged version. I am also glad that they finally decided to give the Ninja hair this season.
General Cryptor looks amazing - great printing on his legs, torso, and even armor! His armor has one small shoulder guard, and one larger one. Both sides have printing. Cryptor has his own unique face - much different from the generic Nindroid face.
Mindroid is my favorite Nindroid. Even though the factory 'ran out of metal', I'm certainly glad that Mindroid was made! :) His head and ninja mask is the same as a normal Nindroid, his torso is the Nindroid Drone torso, and has short black legs.
Main Build:
The Destructoid is much better than I expected - the tank is much larger than it appeared on the box. The control area of the tank has a raised platform for a Nindroid to stand on when driving, and the tank has room in the back to sit about 3 other Nindroids. The saw blade hand works well; but I prefer the sword-shield arm. The sword and shield are quite large pieces, making the arm look quite massive. One of my favorite functions, though, is the disk shooter. The disk shooter fires when you pull back and release a lever on the back. You load the disks right on top of each other in the front of the tank, and they fire right under there. That was a pretty nice design.
Overall, I think this is a great set; it has lots of play functions, and a great build. "

Combo-Vehicle Awesomeness
" This, I believe, is Ninjago's first combo-vehicle. This is one of my personal favorites for the 2014 series, and here's why:
Minifigures:
In this set, you get Jay, Cole, and a Nindroid. Jay and Cole are both really cool, and the Nindroid is pretty awesome. I like the laser-shooting-scope thing over the Nindroid's hood. I think it adds a lot to the character. Jay and Cole look awesome in their matching techno robes, which I really like. Both characters were brilliantly designed.
Main Set:
This set is just plain awesome. I'll start with the Earth Mech:
Cole finally got his Mech!!! And a quite well designed one at that. The sword-cannon arms are very very cool, and I like that it has ball-and-joint connections. That way, it's poseable, and can be played with easier.
Jay's off-road vehicle is really cool. When you push the cockpit back, 6 guns in the back of the vehicle with flip up. That's probably it's best function. I really love it. The large back tires are great, and the treads in front are awesome. The only thing I would have added was a third gear to give the the treads a more triangular shape. But other than that, they are really great.
One last thing I would have done was made the 2 vehicles match a little bit better. With them being able to be connected, the Mech looks like a little more of an add on than part of the vehicle. But, that's not at all a major problem. They are really cool when combined.
This is an awesome set. I would highly recommend getting this set. It's probably one of the best $30 sets you can get. "

Hover Hunter Attack
" This is a nice little Nindroid Speeder. Its a pretty cool design, with the rotating saw blade in the front, but it would have been nice if it had just a little more to it.
Minifigures:
Here we get Cole, new with his Techno Robes, and finally, his HAIR! I really like the design for the new mask things, and I really like that they have their hair in this series. Another thing: The Techno Blade. This is the only dark green-colored Techno Blade, and still is exclusive to the set. That's probably one of my favorite weapons Ninjago has released yet.
The Nindroid 'drone' (I guess) is alright, but it never shows up in the TV series, which is kind of a bummer. It would have been nice if they changed all of the 'drones' into regular Nindroids. It would have been nice but its really minor.
The Hover Hunter:
This is a cool little vehicle for the Nindroids. I really like the cockpit with the little pieces that come down to hold the Minifigure in. That was a pretty cool design. The rest of the hover hunter is nice, but it would have been cool if it would have had a bit more on the purple parts that are on the top. A few extra designs or something would have made it look a little bit better.
The wheel on the bottom is pretty ingenious. I never would have though of it in my life! When the wheel on the bottom of the saw blade is rolled, the saw blade rotates, like a gear. That was probably my favorite feature of the set.
Lastly, I wish that this set was priced a little cheaper. In the newest wave, you can get Jay's ElectroMech (I'm doing this review way late, by the way) for $15, while this one was $12. I think that the ElectroMech is quite a bit better than this set, but that's just my opinion. I think a price of $8 - $10 for this set would have been reasonable.
Overall, this is a great set, and a fun little Lego vehicle to play with. "

Ultimate Ninja Tracker
" I'd like to start off by saying that I'm reviewing this a little late; I got this set for Christmas a year ago, and didn't get around to reviewing it until now. Oh well.
This is a pretty nice set. A pretty wide variety of minifigures; Nya's car is simple but also very cool, and the Mech Dragon has some awesome features.
Minifigures:
This set has some great Minifigures. We get to see Sensei Garmadon for the first time. I like that he has the grey version of Lloyds's/Anakin's hair; it looks pretty nice. Lloyd is good too, but I wish that he had his armor like he does in the Overborg Attack. But, he's good anyway. General Cryptor has a different face than the rest of the Nindroids, armor, and a different torso. That sets him apart pretty well from the other Nindroids, and also makes him look like the leader that he is. He is really cool but unfortunately, he comes in quite a few sets for there only being one that looks like him. So, after collecting all the sets, you would have like 3 General Cryptors. The Nindroid is cool, and a good figure to be included in the set. Evil Wu is probably my favorite figure. He has a silver hat, a black beard, and a cyborg-style Sensei Wu face. He was very well designed.
Nya's Car:
Nya's car had a simple design, but has lots of play features. If you press on the exhaust pipes in the back, flick-fire missiles will shoot out of the sides of the car. It works pretty well, but sometimes they flip up in the air and don't go very far. But other than that, it's really good. The top of the car rotates, and has another missile with the 2 guns on top. The flag is also a very good touch too.
The Mech Dragon:
The Mech Dragon has some awesome play features, but it has some limitations too. I'll start with the cool features:
The big saw blades that are on the front of the wings actually rotate when a certain piece is pushed to the left or right. That's a really cool feature. There is a small 'jail' compartment right in front of the cockpit, which allows a Minifigure to be put inside. There are 2 detachable gliders that come out of the sides of the 'body' of the dragon, and I really like the missile on the top of the Dragon.
Now, here are some of the bad parts about the dragon:
Both of the wings have kind of a weak connection to the body, so they tend to fall off, which is slightly annoying. After a while, the ball-and-socket joints that connect the head to the body weaken, which makes the head droop. But, other than that, it's pretty good.
Overall, this is a really nice set, and a GREAT vehicle for the Overlord and his Nindroids. "

The Titanium Ninja Rises
" Zane's dragon was good before, but the new and improved Titanium Dragon twice as good (and 2 times the price better as well). The new white, blue, and silver design is awesome, and this set was extremely well designed. This is probably Zane's best vehicle made yet, and even better than his original dragon.
Minifigures
"You were built to protect others who can not protect themselves..."
Zane did a great job at that before an after he knew he was a robot, but his abilities increased dramatically when he realized he was a robot. Now that he's the Titanium Ninja, and more robot than ever, he seems more capable of doing that than ever. He has this new headset and screen design on his face, and on the other side of his head, he has glowing blue eyes, a quite happy smile (for Zane, that is), and a new chin-face plate thing. The new silver-grey hood, armor, and grey body is awesome, and the torso and leg design is great. Overall, I'd give him a 10 out of 10.
Clouse is a pretty cool Minifigure, and his new ponytail hair is really cool. His suit is really cool, but probably isn't one of my top favorite Ninjago Minifigures. He's still really cool anyway, though.
The purple Anacondrai snake is really cool. His red armor with bone detail is also nice. I haven't seen the latest Ninjago episodes, so I really don't understand why he has a tail. Usually, the generals are the only ones with tails. The secrets will be revealed soon. :)
Main set:
The Key holder-shrine thing is really cool, and the green-ball chain weapon is really cool. It shoots out of the catapult really well, which surprised me quite a bit. This was a good little addition to the set.
The Titanium dragon is the best part of the set. This is the best dragon made yet (and all of the dragons are really good). It's very flexible and poseable, but there was one thing that I REALLY liked about it: The wings.
Unlike previous designs (Golden Dragon), the wings are VERY sturdy, and held on with ball-and-joint pieces, which allows it to flap. The one thing that I didn't like about the set was the stickers on the wings. It says in the directions to put the stickers on each of the silver wing parts last, but I would HIGHLY recommend putting the stickers on the wing pieces before attaching them. I did that for one of the wings, and it turned out much better than the first.
I have always loved 40$ sets, but this is one of the best. This is a GREAT buy for you Dragon loving Ninjago Fans. "

Battle on the Bridge
" Wooden bridge...liable to collapse over a lake full of lava...just to get a gold and green scythe...sounds fun! Count me in!
This is an awesome set, and in my opinion, slightly under priced. For a dollar, this set is way bigger (which means better) than the smallest set in the 2015 spring wave. For a person who is looking for a good, inexpensive Ninjago set, this would be the one I would recommend.
Minifigures:
Disagree with me if you want to, but this is Cole's best suit. With the yellow arms and black gloves, this makes him look like the super strong guy that he is supposed to be. His robes are awesome with the dark grey and gold highlights, and he looks awesome with his black bandana on. His hair, though, seems to be just a little bit different that both of last years Cole's. It seems as though they changed the material or something since last year, but its still great anyway. It's less glossy, or something like that. Nothing major, but it was a slight little thing that I wanted to mention. (I think it looks better)
The Anacondrai warrior is basically just another warrior. He looks cool with the new skeleton hat and stuff, but he's pretty normal; a good army builder. The only thing thing that I don't like about him is his weapon. I personally think it would have been better for him to have just the tan sword, instead of the white and brown pieces attached to the bottom.
Main Set:
The main set is great; much bigger than I thought it would be. The orange and red elements on the bottom are great, and its nice that it has 2 of the large orange and red clear fire elements. It was a nice touch to the set, and made it seem like it was actually going to be dangerous to cross that pit of lava. The bridge collapse mechanism is great. There is a technic pole that is pulled back, (the pole supports the bridge) and the bride collapses. It would have been nice if it was a longer bridge, or maybe just a bit higher of a fall. But, for a small set, its really nice. So, overall, this is a GREAT purchase. You don't want to miss out! "

Mechs for Everyone!
" Nya got a Mech. Kai got a Mech. Lloyd got a Mech. Cole got a Mech. Now, it's finally Jay's turn! (Zane gets his in the summer wave). This set, no doubt, is about the best under 20 dollar Ninjago sets EVER.
Minifigures:
Jay was the final ninja I needed to get to have all of the ninja in their tournament robes. He was definitely just as good (or even better) than the other ninja. This is probably one of Jay's best suits, and I like that his hair was included, even though it really isn't hard to find. And, he also gets some style points :) for going for the light blue highlights instead of dark. Good call.
The Anacondrai warrior is pretty normal, but he doesn't have any white tattoos on his face. It's actually pretty cool that way, believe it or not. He has the standard warrior torso with the purple snake tattoos, so not much different than the others.
Main Set:
This is one of my top favorite Mechs Ninjago has made yet. It's small, compact, quite playable, and all of it's functions work perfectly. It's legs are bent, as if getting ready to jump or spring out for an attack, which looks amazing. I haven't seen the ElectroMech in the Ninjago TV show yet, so I don't know if the gold elements on the back are wings or not, but they look awesome either way. By pushing up on a pole in the back, it allows gears to rotate, and the gold blades to flip up. And, the stud shooters are cool too. I think they look better on a vehicle than they do as a gun.
So, overall, this is a great purchase, so don't hesitate to get it! "
