"The early Star Wars Advent calendars were a real treat. Unfortunately, last year, it took a step back, & this year got even worse. How do you make any advent calendar without touches of holiday spirit? 1 snowman out of 24 items? No other ‘snow’ pieces, or ones w color ‘lights’ or even a minifig highlight. I’m super disappointed in LEGOs strategy here. From their reply to another bad review, feels like they’re envious of the past Star Wars calendar success & are trying to co-opt that themselves by making the city one more attractive & the Star Wars one less so. If this is, in fact, the case, it’s manipulative & takes for granted their Star Wars fans. I hope they do better in future years."

Another LEGO Star Wars price gouge; future Omen?
"Like many, my gripe here is not the product itself but the unjustified price point. I don't know whether Disney is now demanding a higher % of profit on their branded items (particularly star wars?) or whether LEGO has made a conscious decision to target Star Wars fan wallets, but a curiously similar absurd price tag was attached to the recent Hoth set. Both, while great agnostic of price, are clear money grabs for whatever reason. The only choice one has in these circumstances is to boycott the ridiculous priced items in favor of those with more value per buck (i.e. smaller sets)"
