Beautiful display model but terrible play set
" Please understand that I absolutely love this set and LEGO sets in general and it even pains me to point out any flaws because there usually isn't any!
This set is beautiful, VERY beautiful, but it's a terrible play set! The mech isn't very posable and forget about playing with it. My young sons, 7 and almost 4, were excited when they saw this model but almost immediately my 7 year old knew it wasn't going to "fun" playing with it. My almost 4 year old tried and a few small parts fell off here and there and he couldn't change the pose and still make it stand so he gave up. They did both stand back and admire its beauty for a few seconds though lol
I can't speak for everyone but in my set, there were a few red bricks that had gold scratches on them and the vinyl sheet had a few "dents" on it.
TL;DR - Don't expect to play to change the post much, but this is one of the, if not the most beautiful set/mech LEGO has made to date. "

A little expensive (not overpriced) but sooo fun!
" Let me get one thing out of the way first, this set is EXPENSIVE, but it is not overpriced in my opinion and that's very different. $380, or over $400 after sales tax, is a lot of money for a LEGO set. However you do get what you pay for.
This set is HUGE in terms of not just the number of pieces but also space needed. By comparison, Ninjago City for example has 700+ more pieces but it only takes up 1/3 of the space. But of course Ninjago City is a lot more dense.
This set is also incredibly fun. My kids and I enjoy it quite a bit and it's a great addition to our Fairgrounds collection.
Like the Ferris Wheel and Carousel, the Roller Coaster set can also be a bit tedious and repetitive in its build. IMO the columns varied just enough for me to not go completely crazy each time I dumped out a small mountain of those round 2 x 2 bricks. Connecting 203 chains would have definitely driven me mad had my kids not help me. Aside from that I really enjoyed everything else, especially all the smaller "side builds" like the ticket booth, juice bar, cotton candy cart... etc.
In conclusion, if you can afford it and like roller coasters, this set is a must buy. Not only does it make a great display set, it's also extremely fun to play with. Just be prepared for some minor repetitiveness in the build. "
