Very Pretty, But...Pink Frogs?
" This set is very pretty overall, but I have a couple of issues with the set.
First, the trunk keeps coming apart. The construction isn't as sturdy as it could be to support the upper branches. As I attached the branches, the trunk kept needing re-building, or the side panels slipped off. It is VERY annoying.
Second, I hate the pink frogs. I do not understand this choice. They do add some "texture" to the design, but why couldn't there be some paler pink flowers to add depth to the design? I am digging through my legos to find substitutions. I have been using a few pale pink dots and some of the pink cupcake swirls are passable as substitues. It really just needed two shades of pink flowers.
The green leaves will be fine, but the pink version could use some improvement. "

Great Nephew LOVED This Set
" I bought this for my great nephew for Christmas. Due to the pandemic, I visited them early and his mom said he could open it. He was excited to get more LEGO. When his dad built the light brick mechanism he went over the moon. He ran to the bathroom (the nearest dark room) and listening to his excitement through the door was worth the price of the set. The two of them built several of the shapes for him to try. The addition of the light bricks really boosts this set, but it also includes some fun bricks you don't often see. All-in-all, it was a triumph.
I now wait to hear about the reaction from the other great nephew I bought the set for. "

Pretty Good, But???
" I am nearly finished with the third portion of the set and like the first and third. I really found the Quality Quiddich store odd. The windows look like a Chinese restaruant to me. Then the upper floor is in that garish pink??? I expected crazy colors with Weasley's Wizzard Wheezes, but this just seems wrong to me. I am enjoying the builds and there are some interesting techniques, but I just wish there was another color than that horrible pink.
I would have given this a five, but second section doesn't live up to my vision of Diagon Alley. "

The Monster looks great on my desk
" I like the monster--he looks good on my desk. While I am here, I will weigh in on the base. The simple base looks good. I cannot stand the "wings" on many of the BrickHeadz. It does give you a place for seasonal decorations, but they fall off if someone picks up the figure to look at it more closely. I have tended to set the additional decor on my table or desk. "

Some fun additions to my HP Legos
" I am a huge HP nerd who had to open and build all the items asap. Last year I used my Clock Tower set as a holiday decoration in my office. I used a number of pieces from last year's advent calendar to augment my display. I was happy to see this year's advent calendar was Yule Ball themed. I will be using the Patels and other minifigures in my scene when I set it up this year. I wasn't really expecting to like the mini ship, carriage and castle, but they are very sweet. (I took them to my office today)
While I wasn't crazy about the Tri-Wizard trophy, the rest of the items were good. "

Adorable
" I bought this for a treat for myself. I love the look of the house and all of the sweet details, but was a bit disappointed in the flat baby
Like other builders, I found the roof panels tricky, but I persisted and was pleased when I felt the reassuring SNAP when they clicked into place. Some reviewers mentioned a wobbly wall on the upper floor, but I didn't have that problem., but my chimney doesn't have a tight fit and it wobbles when the house is moved.
I bought a second set for my niece her family for the coming holiday season. Her five year old son will love it, but will want to take it apart and use the bricks for something of his own design. It will be interesting to see if he can keep his hands off it. "
