good pieces & surprisingly fun
" So I bought this mainly for the pieces and all the figures, but that said we did assemble everything and to my surprise we (two adults) played the game several times one evening. We implemented a few rules to make it a bit more challenging because you quickly learn choosing an object instead of a mini-figure can be a serious disadvantage if someone asks: is it a mini-figure? [For Lego's feedback, the objects (esp. the penguin) are fun, but this would be a lot better with all mini-figures.] In any event, we couldn't ask a question that had already been asked and tried to find some less obvious questions to make it more challenging (i.e. does your character/object prefer the cold?) We've discussed pulling the objects and replacing with different mini-figures that have some of the same color pants so they blend well. Eventually we will use for parts, but we are happy with the purchase and would recommend (esp. if you actually have kids). "

This is great!
" First, the moose is awesome. We also loved all the other little details. The cabin is also very well constructed, so I suspect it could withstand quite a bit of actual play from kids. We have this one set up next to the mountain cabin (31025), which I believe is sadly retired as they go well together. "

Unique, but not as solid as other builds
" This has a lot of fun details and the ski slope along the building is fun. We are generally happy with it (the owl is awesome), but we will say that it isn’t anywhere as well constructed as say the lakeside cabin (31048), treehouse (31010), or the mountain cabin (31025). The two cabins in particular are very solid. In contrast, some of the wall sections are held in with two pins (of sorts). We also found it unusual that part of the roof went on before most of the wall. Overall, I’d say this one is cool, but more fragile than other 3-in-1s. Maybe that’s the “modular” part of the design? We may try and redesign it a bit to make it less fragile. But keep up the mountain, snow, ski theme - we love it! "
