Quite a value!
" I got my hands on this set a little over a year ago. It was my first experience with a lego train. Although I have seen many through the decades.
I have to say this might be one of the best starter kits, for anyone thinking about getting into lego trains. Not only do you get a fair amount of track, you get a selection that enables more than just a typical circle shape.
The train itself has many features. The amount of things anyone could do to play with this is high. From the crane being able to move things around. To having all sorts of stories play out with the many figures and vehicles.
I think one of the best things about current lego trains is the couplers. They have very strong magnets, allowing the train cars to just get near each other and they pull together, and stay connected.
To sum things up, this is one nice quality set. If you are planning to get into lego trains, this is probably the best current start you can get. "

Moderately okay.
" I would say function wise, this is a really neat brick. It's fun to remote control trains and other things. The ability to use bluetooth is also very nice. As you don't have to have a controller for every device.
The problems kinda distract from that though. The price is a tad bit high, especially if you need more than one. As many others have said having to remove screws to change the batteries just seems like a future problem. It would have been much better to have a simple block to lock the batteries in. Perhaps though, that is more about safety for children.
The battery life, is neither something to brag about or to hate on too much. It does go a bit fast, and I would recommend to anyone using it, to have some rechargeable batteries.
I do like though that you can have multiples of these, running at the same time. The ability to have different "channels" or "colors" is very nice. I imagine any family who has multiple trains or other items, that could run at the same time would love this feature. It would make playing with siblings or others much easier. "
