Surprisingly fun
" Sooo as an adult, I still turn to Lego when I need a good stress reliever. I'm so in love with The Lego Movie sets, because they're a blast to build. So this little set was sort of an afterthought, but one that I just had to pick up because it looked sort of different and entertaining and I really love the copodiles. Some fun music, pull up a floor cushion to my coffee table, and I'm all set to go just like my younger days. The build was fun and easy, even with my dog perched in my lap supervising the build. The train tracks are awesome, and the dilapidated detailing is clever. The best part of this set, though, is the police vehicle. Building it is super fun, the way it comes together is really nice, and when it was completed... even though I'm a sane adult, my first instinct was to fly it with a whoosing spaceship noise. Yep.
The mechanism in Bad Cop's weapon that fires studs is really neat, and I could see being really into that if I were a kid looking for play value, but I could also see losing a lot of pieces.
I absolutely recommend this set, if only for the police cruiser. It's great. "

Just enough
" This box of bricks doesn't pretend to be something it's not. It's pretty clear that it's a small collection of bricks to be noodled around with to create fun and fanciful items. What you see is what you get, and to be honest, what you get is pretty entertaining.
I bought this for use in my classroom, as a motivator and a tool to use while problem solving. I spent time myself, when frustrated with work and needing a break, building a bizarre little pink house, and I was thoroughly entertained. Is this set spare on pieces? Yes. But what's included is listed directly on the box, so there's no room for disappointment. Is the box cardboard? Yeah, but that's very apparent from photographs. I don't think the lower cardboard portion of the box will last very long, but I know the bricks inside will last forever. Even though it's a small set of bricks, the possibilities are endless, and the best part about these kinds of collections is that you can always add more pieces. It's a great addition to any classroom, any toy room, and the desk of anyone who needs an occasional stress reliever.
