Roboloader!
" This was my first true Technic set in many years. I had been waiting for it ever since the first preview images came out, as I was fascinated by the future-y, unmanned loader concept.
As I have been mostly building standard stuff, I was very much used to the numbered bags, so this set, with no numbered bags was more of a challenge, but a good challenge.
All throughout the build, I was amazed at how the operating functions were incorporated into the build. And other than a couple of mistakes of my own doing (by not quite paying close enough attention to where a few pins went), it was a painless build.
In terms of play, it has some nice and nifty action features, though it must be said that they are a bit slow, mainly due to the length of travel.
But, all in all, a very worthwhile Technic set. And again, I am impressed by what the designers come up with. "

Another Excellent Police Helicopter!
" I have always been a sucker for the LEGO Police helicopters, and when I first saw the images of this one, I knew I had to get it. I was not disappointed (so not disappointed, I bought another one!).
Unlike last year's monster helicopter, this one is smaller, though that is fine. In terms of the overall design, it is fairly similar to previous helicopters. This one, however, is fitted with two massive floats to help it in watery and swampy areas as the LEGO police hunt for criminals. I like that it utilizes two door frames for the side openings, though putting a minifigure inside might be a tad difficult without taking some parts off. It has a rope so that a Police officer might rappel from the chopper, which is always fun.
The minifigures themselves are very similar to the Forest police from two years ago, which I like, as I am quite fond of the trooper hats that these police minifigs get.You get one trooper minifig and one pilot minifig. Interestingly, it comes with a female criminal, like at least one of last year's police sets, which is nice. And she gets a simple, but sleek, little speedboat to use to attempt an escape.
I also like the new dark blue and white color scheme for this year's sets. Though the one criticism that I have to make is in regards to the stickers, of which there are seven for the helicopter. Four of the stickers, two on each side, are designed to achieve a more angled paint scheme. but the only issue is that the white of the stickers is just noticeably different enough from that of the white bricks that it does look a little weird. But that is really my only criticism.
Overall, another fun, well designed LEGO Police helicopter.
