"I bought this set and several others, being a Ninjago fan and wanting a large villain mech to go alongside my ninja vehicles, which it does a solid job at. Minifigure ratings: Lloyd- 3/5 Pat-3/5 Great white-3.5/5 Garmadon-4/5 Pros: The mech is just over 30cm tall, letting it tower over many potential foes. It is very sturdy, and will rarely fall over. The colour scheme is menacing and fits Garmadon's own mech. The pilot area is a good size and fits the minifigure properly. The missile arm fits in well and doesn't stick out too badly like in other sets. There are some awesome details, like the fish tank and thrusters on the feet. Cons: Bright red+ yellow bricks and technic beams are visible on the back. Despite being the same price and being supposed to battle Kai's mech, it has less pieces and is smaller than it's rival, which seems odd for such a huge machine in the film. Overall, this set is great on it's own, providing a large, intimidating mech, but when compared to the ninjas' vehicles it loses a lot of this sense of power, and can even look weak compared to Kai and Cole's vehicles."
"This DC comics/ Batman set pitches Red Hood's motorbike and the Bat-Tank against Killer Croc and Captain Boomerang's chomper vehicle. However, all is not well. Minifigures: Batman: 3/5 Katana: 4/5 Red Hood: 3.5/5 Captain Boomerang: 4/5 Killer Croc: 5/5 (unfortunately, this killer croc has been outshined by the Lego Batman Movie version) The vehicles: Red Hood's bike: 4/5 Very nice, you can't really go wrong with this new motorbike piece. Killer Croc's chomper: 4/5 Funnily enough, this is my favourite part of the set, probably because of how wacky it looks. If only Captain Boomerang's tower thing wasn't there, it looks very out of place. The Bat Tank: 3/5 It has quite a sleek design, and the battering ram is nice, but it takes up far too much of the set, the bulge where the ram is looks poor, and the back of the tank is messy with yellow and red bricks.
Overall, this set is okay, but the Bat Tank should be much smaller and part of the set should actually consist of the sewer. This set could have been much better, but the overall execution and the price are really holding it back."
"When I initially viewed images of this set in May I was amazed. When I saw reviews of this set I was amazed. And now that I have this fantastic set I am in awe. The set is a battle between the villains, who have come back for revenge, and the ninja. The villains are trying to steal the blueprints and the vehicles from the cave, and the ninja are attemping to confiscate the powerful green weapons of Master Yang. Here are the pros and cons of the set. Pros: Great selection of minifigs. Excellent number of ninja vehicles. Very smooth centre-stage function, with a fold out walkway and hidden blueprints underneath. The function that clips the modular jet together is incredibly well done; I have tested it many times and it has not played up once. The mech storage area is good and the elevator works well. The screens around the cave contain nice details such as the phantom ninja. The extra details such as the samurai armour and the robot's shelf area are very good for play+display. The prison is very good, bein much more secure than many of the prison cells lego has placed in a set. The skull at the front is an excellent show-accurate detail. The whole cave splits into 3 making it much better for storage and considerably easier to move around.
Cons: There are some parts that look slightly unfinished. The laser gate is a relatively stiff in movement. The skull at the front has to be held open.
In this set the positives completely overwhelm the negatives. This set is an absolute must buy if you are a Ninjago fan, even if it means not purchasing another smaller set such as the Airjutzu Battle Grounds."
"This set is a battle scene that takes place between Kai, Karloff and Griffin Turner, as well as a serpentine cultist. This dojo is part of Chen's castle making it an important set in this wave. Minifigure ratings: Kai 3.5/5 Karloff (exclusive) 4/5 Griffin Turner (exclusive) 3.8/5 Sleven 4/5 Pros: Includes two exclusive minifigures. There is a trapdoor leading to a pit/ fire prison under the stage just like in the show. It includes poison missiles that come out of the wall for the ninja to dodge as well as a training aid. Cons: The fire prison doesn't look that menacing and seems to not have much fire. When the ninja are placed on the chain they often tip sideways. This set is a nice, cheap way to get two exclusive minifigures and an important area from the storyline, making this set a must purchase if you are collecting ninjago."
"When I bought this set I thought it was going to be quite good but when I actually built it I found out it was one of the best sets I purchased this year!
Pros: The I-Rex Bug preserved in amber The great minifigures The wall that indominus rex can break down The gyrosphere launching feature The huge opening gate (similar to the one in Jurassic Park) The broken glass viewpoint (accurate to the movie) The crane with the chicken legs (I don't think that it will fill up the Indominus rex though) This set is excellent and if you are going to buy a Jurassic World set I would recommend this one."
"This set is meant to be about when a Dilophosaurus is out of containment and chasing Gray but luckily for him the ACU is here. Pros: The Dilophosaurus The gyrosphere The feature where the crates fly of the truck Cons: The Dilophosaurus should be smaller as it is a bit to large. This never actually happened in the movie. The dilophosaurus was only ever seen as a hologram. The gyroshere doesn't have two seats :( Overall this is a very nice set for £30 and even though it wasn't in the movie it is still a really nice set."
"I picked this set up at the lego store along with four other 2015 ninjago sets. This was the first one that I built. The set itself is about Kai the red ninja trying to get one of the four special weapons before the anacondrai cultist Krait gets hold of it. Minifigure ratings: Krait 3.9/5 Kai 3.5/5 Pros: includes the new cultist head piece and includes the exclusive double jade blade weapo. Cons: With the blades that come up when you press them I noticed that sometimes one of the blades gets stuck on the other side of the area where the other blade is. This means you have to push it back to the other side instead of it going back on its own.
overall this is a very nice little set to add to the lego ninjago 2015 collection as it is the only way to get the special weapon and is a good set to purchase."
