So much playability!
" This Lego set is the first that I have actually played with since I was a child. Normally I build models for display, but this is such a fun model. It was also great fun to put together, The mix of technic and normal bricks is good and it was very interesting to see how the mechanism that makes the maze put together.
After you build the mechanism then you build the maze. The maze part is infinitely customisable and you can have a good time designing your own.And once you have built one of the two mazes that are detailed in the set you are ready to go! The maze base slots in the mechanism base but just to rest inside, not attached with studs.
So once you have mastered the maze you can take it out, rotate it, and put it back. The same maze, but from a different angle so all the twists you made before will need to be learned again,
Overall a great set - go out and buy it! "

A good selection but not as good as Series 14
" I bought a complete set of Series 15 minifigures on ebay for about £45, same as I did for Series 14. It saves me so much money that way.
Series 15 does have some highlights such as the Queen which is just an awesome looking figure and the Shark Guy. The moulding of the Shark piece suit looks incredible.
The Farmer is the most frustrating of all the minifigures because I could not get his pig accessory to attach to his baseplate. Because of the shapes of the models it seems to be impossible to have the pig standing next to the farmer.
Series 14 was much stronger I believe. The common theme linked all the figures together and uplifted the series in quality. "

An epic build that looks awesome
" I was so excited to take a trip to the Lego Store in Stratford to buy this set and was delighted to discover that I got the last one in the store! Lucky me!
The build took me two weeks. Not because I found it tricky, but because I like to spread big builds out over time. I enjoy it more this way.
The finished product is awesome. The bricks were split into 7 sets of numbered bags but I think should have been 8. The top floor and all the other bits on that floor are bagged together and should have been bagged separately.
But it does look epic now it is finished. "

A good model but the build was very frustrating!
" Box/Instructions
The box is huge - about the same size as the Pet Shop or maybe the Parisian Restaurant but I have not really measured it accurately.
Parts
There are over 2500 parts to this set and so it will look huge when you have finished building it.
I must also add something that is annoying to me. Included are several cutlery parts as well as pots and pans for Ned Flanders to use I imagine but there is nowhere provided within the finished model to store them - no cupboard or any other storage space which is annoying.
Minifigures
The Minifigures look awesome. I love the heads of them as they look exquisitely sculpted and molded.
The build
The build is where I must report my biggest annoyance. The method used to attach the garage section to the main part of the house utilises 4 4205105: Brick 1X2 W. Horizontal Snap bricks and 4 4205107: Technic Brick 1X2, Ø4.9 bricks. This was a massively frustrating annoyance for me when trying to attach the garage after finishing the main house. The way the walls of the garage are constructed near the door hole at the back meant that every time I tried to push the two parts together to click into place, the wall of the garage got destroyed in the process and I had to rebuild it. The walls of the garage just were not sturdy enough and kept breaking apart. So I had to employ some creative thinking and disassemble part of the wall of the house, attach the technic snap brick to the garage first then try an slot it in. This succeeded but only after 3 or 4 tries and much shouting of frustration.
Otherwise the build was fairly standard, but I did enjoy seeing how the different beds were made.
The completed model
Looks awesome. Enough said.
Overall opinion
Would have been much more enjoyable without the hassle of attaching the garage but still I love this model and I would recommend it to any Lego or Simpsons fan. Regarding accuracy to the house on the show - I don;t care. It is still an awesome model. "

A fun model to build, but has a few tiny flaws
" Overall I would say that this Mini Cooper model looks absolutely great once it is finished. It looks so sleek and sophisticated compared the the VW Camper Van.
It took me about 5-6 hours to build the model, spread out over 3 days. With long builds like these I like to do a stage a day. So do all the bricks from number 1 bags on the first day, all the bricks from number 2 bags on the second day and so on and so forth.
This is a great model, don't get me wrong, but there are a few bits that I think could be better.
The steering wheel is too big and looks out of scale compared to the rest of the model.
The usual lego fan's grievance with stickers reared it's ugly head again - lego managed printed bricks for some parts on this model, but for the mini cooper badges/logo and the number plates you had to peel off as stickers. And I tried my best but I inevitably put them on wonky which is annoying.
I also think the wheels and the wheel arches look oversized. It is probably just me, but I think they could do with being made a teeny bit smaller.
But there are so many things to like about this model. The front area with the white stripes contrasting against the dark green looks stunning and the rear of the mini looks just like the real car. The interior seats look awesome as well and I like the little picnic basket, drink bottle and blanket included. Once I get a proper shelf to display the model, they will sit next to the car, but for now they are stored in the boot.
And even though they are stickers, the British number plates look really really cool. I wish that British number plates could have been an option for the VW Camper Van. For the Mini Cooper model you get a choice of British, American, German, Danish or Australian number plates.
Despite the flaws it is a great model and well worth the money. "

Good Building, but frustrating minifigures
" The Detective Office building itself is a great building. It is very detailed and I had a lot of fun constructing it. My only grievance is with the Police Woman minifigure and her police hat. I struggled for 15 minutes trying to attach the hat to the figure's hand but I could not do it. It was a bit ridiculous to be honest. "

A very enjoyable build - it looks great!
" This was the first modular building that I bought - and a thoroughly enjoyed building experience. It is very detailed and great to look at. Can't wait to buy my next one. It took me about 13 hours spread over 3 days to finish it - only because I spent about 8 hours straight one day because it was so addictive. "

Great Model but shoddy instruction book!
" I recently bought this set because I was interested in building some buildings with Lego having been inspired to get back into Lego by making this little Christmas Train model for my mum that she had bought.
I started with the White House because I thought that it looked the most interesting and looked the coolest out of what is available. Anyway the building of the model certainly was challenging for a novice like me who is just getting back into Lego but on completion the model looks great. Slight issue I had with a missing piece but that is easily remedied with a trip to the Bricks and Pieces section of the Lego Website.
What really annoyed me was the shoddiness of the instruction booklet that came with the model. The pages are bound by glue and they kept falling out unless I turned the pages very carefully. Now I was not turning them roughly before and so I think the spine on the particular book I got was defective. I will see about trying to get a replacement.
Overall this Lego model of the White House is highly recommended. Now if we could get some great British Lego Architecture models like of The Tower of London or Buckingham Palace that would be awesome. "
