AT-AP delivers a powerful punch
" I bought this during the 30% offer and double VIP points, so in that respect I think it was great value. I didn't have the 2014 version, so this was new to me.
The model is a great build, especially the legs with their articulation action, and both are quite complex to build so it's challenging and interesting. With the middle leg, you can then pose the model as though it's walking about. The main body was cleverly done in how it came together, although it requires patience with the stickers. I like the three cannons, but it seems like the main gun should articulate vertically as well, although this can be done by raising the body of the Walker with the third leg.
I especially liked the new color droids, Commander Cree and the other Clone Trooper look great, really detailed body and helmets. I'm not bothered for another Chewie, he pops up everywhere. Also it's great that the characters have 'normal' weapons instead of the oversize stud shooters (although these are great for play).
Definitely recommend this set is bought with the 20th Anniversary Clone Scout Walker, as you then have two troopers and Commander Cree.
Possibly overpriced new, so look out for it on offer on Shop.Lego.Com!!! "

Don't mess with the Walker
" This set was new to me as I did not own the original Clone Scout Walker, but having seen pictures of that I'm glad I waited for this one - it's much better. I bought it with 75234 AT-AP Walker during the Double VIP points and 30% off Sale, and they compliment each other perfectly.
The set is an enjoyable build, and you get plenty of figures. The Kashykk Trooper figure looks great, and it's nice to have another Wookie other than Chewbacca carrying a blunderbuss! I also prefer 'normal' blasters which these characters have, instead of the stud shooters. The Spider Droid is a neat and fun figure, and the 'battlements' are interesting pieces.
The 20th Anniversary Darth Vadar is a nice collectable figure, the printing on the back doesn't bother me as it's really a display piece. The packaging reminds me of the original Kenner toys from the 1970's and looks fab!
The instructions are easy to follow and the Walker legs in particular are an interesting build. In fact, I've built another one using the same instructions but in custom colours (i.e. I didn't have enough bricks). Adults will require child supervision with the stickers, but you can always use tweezers!
Overall, probably the best of the 20th Anniversary sets in terms of value for money, build, play and general fun! "

Another Creator 3 in 1 value for money set!
" I bought two of these sets in an airport (other is 31072 Extreme Engines) for mucking about with. I've combined the pieces to make a hot-rod vehicle in the pictures below.
These sets are excellent value for money if your looking for something for your kids or grandchildren, as they come with a lot of interesting pieces in different colours allowing you to experiment, plus the size allows you to fit Mini-Figures for further play options.
This Extreme Engines set is well-worth the money, because you get the proper V8 engine block which can be used in other models (e.g. Speed Champions) or to make your own vehicle designs. This set also has fantastic wide wheels with a reversible design; custom slot mag style, or spoked alloy style. There are also lots of blue, white and yellow smooth and curved pieces allowing you to make 'clean' vehicles.
Next, I'll follow the instructions, to make the actual sets - but maybe change it here and there....
Overall, great fun, and very good value. "

I have not built the actual instruction models yet; I wanted to combine the two sets I bought and make my own models. I've attached a photo of a Hot Rod using various pieces. This is the beauty of Creator...
I especially like the green and yellow pieces in this set and the wheels which can be reversed to look like Slot mags, or spoked alloys. You can of course fit in a Mini-Figure as well, which allows further play options.
Next, I'll follow the instructions, but maybe change it here and there....
Overall, great fun, and very good value. "

Get yourself a Hurst shifter & quit wasting time
" This is my first Speed Champions set, and I am very impressed with the detail and build and cheap price.
I will be checking out others in future! This Mustang looks like a GT350R or similar period race Mustang, and the Ford Mini-figure looks cool in his race overalls.
Nice to see a spanner included for doing repairs.
The model is fairly straightforward to build and has some really nice touches, such as the iconic front Mustang grill, and triple rear tail-lights, with the Mustang filler cap. I didn't put the stickers on mine as yet (apart from the grill - fiddly!) as I am interested to see what it looks like without. I'd like to change the black and white bricks for green ones and re-build as a Bullitt clone. In fact, the air-scoop/engine block pieces from other Creator sets will slot in nicely in the front, with mods to the bonnet, to give you a street racer.
This is great little set, and has ample play-ability. I've already been 'vrooming' it around the breakfast table.
A classic. "

Darth Vadar meets Snap-On!
" Unless you looked at the video, you wouldn't know that this is a new Darth Vadar mini-figure with two-piece helmet, so you can re-enact the end scenes from Episode III....(if you have UCS Imperial Shuttle...) or the scenes from Episode II when Admiral Piett comes to wake up Vadar...
This set is a great build with lots of detail in the platform section, very neat and fun to use 'body-switch' section, and best of all a system to allow Darth Vadar's helmet to be brought down on to his head, after he has been 're-built' from Anakin Sywalker's battle-scarred body. Young builders might need some help with some of the smaller fiddly bits.
For me though, the best fun is with the two medical droids. Both are really neat designs and come with a load of tools straight out of a Snap-On tool chest! Great fun to set up and muck about with.
This is an excellent set at this price point (and only £13 in Argos when I bought it) as you have three updated, highly-detailed figures; Anakin post-Mustafar
Emperor Palpatine, and the new Darth Vadar with two-piece (fantastic) helmet.
Plus, you have three droids; a large medical droid with six arms, a unique humanoid-type droid, and a 'floating' droid sphere. I had alot of spares in my box as well, including lightsabre hilts, small light bricks and spare tools (wheel-brace - in a hospital?)
Highly recommended for everyone young and old! "

Sandspeeder for Scarif
" I bought this after seeing it with 20% off in Argos. At that price point it was a bargain, considering what you get in the set.
I reckon this is a model of a discarded concept from Rogue One. It would be perfect on Scarif to protect the Rebel ground troops from attack by AT-AT's and the TIE Striker, and blasting Sand Troopers.
The build is fairly straight-forward, and enjoyable. I especially like the 'wings'. These are really well thought-out, and have a lot of detail, which adds to the overall model. The cockpit has two instrument clusters which are printed, so no fiddly stickers for small or large hands. The pilot and co-pilot do have to lie down almost, otherwise the canopy doesn't close. The canopy is the only real weak spot. So long as you only open it from the back hinge, it's OK. The model has lots of nice light brown and sand coloured pieces, so will be useful for bits for a Scarif model.
The Mini-Figures are superb, and will probably become collectable in future. Both figures have the same overalls, with lots of details, including front re-breather unit, belts, pockets, and creases in the material.
There is female co-pilot with a dark red helmet, and two expressions, 'relaxed' and 'concerned'. Her visor is painted on and looks great, with chin straps. Her helmet has unique printing (as far as I can tell - need to check latest Figures book!)
The other pilot is quite special. The white helmet is really distinct; it has yellow and black stripes on the back, Rebel insignia on the front, and loads of small side decals, including the number '73' which might indicate a special unit of the Rebel Fleet. He has a 'cheerful' and 'scared' expression.
Both figures come with proper blasters, which fit in the rear storage compartment. There is a snake as well, which is pretty funny. I didn't build the moisture evaporator, but it is quite detailed, and there is a special 'rock' grey piece to hide the snake under.
Watch out when opening the box! For some reason, one of the large grey wing pieces is entirely separate inside the box...not sure why this is, as the other is inside a bag...
Overall, great fun, great figures and some nice pieces for a good price. "

A-Wing vs TIE Fighter - great value
" Like another reviewer, I bought this set to get the Kylo Ren mini-figure without paying out for the TIE Fighter.
He is a great little figure, with his tri-light sabre and two facial expressions; 'concerned' and 'angry'. Torso detailing is nice as well, with his carbon-type clothing.
Both micro-fighter models are really good, and pretty accurate to scale. They are easy to build and kids can be mucking about with them pretty quickly. Lots of nice small wing pieces and other elements for your own custom builds!
My favorite though is the A-Wing Pilot, she is superb! Lots of detail in the clothing and helmet, and a unique figure. Would be a great match for 75175 A-Wing Starfighter set, so you have two different pilots. She also has her own blaster pistol.
Overall, a great set, good price, and lots of fun for kids and collectors alike. "

Great reference book!....(up to 2014)
" I have the recently updated minifigures book, and this book complements that perfectly. It's a great reference tool for looking at past models and also studying the history of how far models have evolved over the previous 15 years. For example, the very first Millenium Falcon looked pretty awful, and over time has evolved to the UCS model we know today which is outstanding. (The 2014 UCS model is detailed here).
The book is laid out in chapters with Chapter 1 being the Prequel Trilogy and Clone Wars, Chapter 2 focuses on Original Trilogy and Expanded Universe (EU), while Chapter 3 is really interesting, as this details the specialist sets like UCS, Technic, MicroFighters etc. The photos are great quality; lots of information and details of the evolution of Star Wars:LEGO.
The pages on UCS are worth the entry price alone. This section is really good (up to 2014) and I just wish I had bought the Imperial Super Star Destroyer or Cloud City - due an update LEGO?
Finally, in Chapter 4 you have some interviews with the designers, fan creations (an incredible Mos Eisley diorama) some promotional models (amazing NY TimesSquare human-scale model!!) and more....
In the front of book is a timeline; pages 6-13 follows Episode 1-6, EU and Clone Wars models all through the years 1999-2014. This is also worth the price - just wish it was available as a pull-out A2 poster!!
To top it off you have a neat special-edition Luke Skywalker figure which is cool with the retro hair and face.
To sum up: for collectors, enthusiasts and just plain curious its a must-buy! "

Underwhelming - like the films
" I don't have any First Order figures, and the recent Ep. VII and VIII have been disappointing in terms of story, characters etc, compared to Rogue One, which was excellent - matched by great Star Wars: Lego sets!
I got this battlepack to get some First Order figures for my collection. The figures are OK, but the officers don't have very much detail, especially in the torso and helmet compared to Classic Star Wars Imperial officers. The two First Order Executioners look menacing in their black/white armor and have nice details on the torso and helmet. However the 'electric' staffs look like something out of Ninjago!
I still think this is a good set for younger builders, and they will have a lot of fun with the spring-loaded rotating launcher and stud guns. There are quite a lot of the red 1x1 studs as spare (in my set) so plenty of ammo for battles.
If you like the latest episodes and like First Order, then this is a good value set for some new figures and bits.
I'm old-fashioned and prefer the classic imperials + clones! "
