Eh...
" Ok so truth in advertising I didn't pick up the UCS version and essentially needed a Sandcrawler. The set was fun to build and had some really cool techniques throughout. The panels on the outside hide the inside very well and the exterior detailing is rather nice. The interior is actually a nice surprise. The cockpit area console is very well done as is the rear compartment console area. I actually moved the crane to the other side for easier play but that isn't a big deal. Ok so now the not so good. The price! Yikes $139.99 is way off the mark for what this set is. I had a $50.00 gift card which made the set a bit more palatable but only just! A much more reasonable price for this set is at the $89.99 price range - especially when you see this set sitting next to the 75218 X-Wing - $79.99! The price per piece count ratio would suggest a good value but a large number of the pieces are the actual caterpillar tracks and all the technic parts to make the track components. The figures are rather pathetic as well especially given the price - Jawas are cheap in the battle pack and droids get a bit old. All in all if you get the set as a gift, use some VIP points, or get a gift card go for it - it is fun to play with. Everyone in my house (wife and three kids) all commented on how it was rather small - I must agree! All things considered I would recommend saving up some money and snag the UCS version.

A Great Play Set
" This was a Christmas present to our whole family and have had a great time building the set, and playing with it as well! The piece count versus the cost is a bit steep but judging from what you get for the money it isn't complete unreasonable. We love the multiple rooms where you can stage different scenes from the movie and then shift to another. We have used some figures from other sets to have multiple areas "fully stocked" but that is not necessary as the mini-figures are very good. The gem is Fett figure! The printed arms look great - a nice touch Lego! The build was pretty straightforward and not as repetitive as with the Death Star. There stickers were not too much of nuisance and they go well with the set. The carbon freezing chamber looks really good and works very well. We did do some home mods to it to make it look a bit more movie like but that was mainly driven by use watching the movie while building the set. All in all a great set and looking forward to future master builder sets!

Worth the Wait!!!
" As a kid watching the show I built my own Voltron from bricks that I had. Now after waiting 30 years what was in my mind is now in Lego!!! This set is simply awesome! My kids and I loved building this and with five family members we each have our own Lion! Beyond worth the money highly recommend! It can be a bit tricky to build for kiddos but go slow and have fun!

Army Building Worthy
" As far as battle packs go this one is a great deal. I debated on 4 or 5 stars with the only reason being that the use of a flesh colored mini fig head doesn't work for the Stormtroopers or Death Troopers - they wear a black under garment. I went with 5 stars as the value of this kit is fantastic especially considering it is so easy to build an army and get some death troopers without spending a ton of money.

A Great Surprise Gift
" Received this as a great Christmas present from my parents (my mother gets a kick from shopping at toy stores for her adult son)! This kit is spectacular. I missed out on the last iteration and will not compare them as that serves little purpose. The build is challenging but the fun is kept the whole way. The instructions were very easy to follow and I especiallly liked the ease of distinguishing between light gray, dark gray, and black parts. Mini figs look very very nice and really complement the set. An extra imperial gunner or officer would be nice but I have plenty of extras. This set is big- really big. It is also very sturdy as my 3 year old son loves playing with it. I did take off the green laser parts from the main laser though! All in all this is a real deal considering what you get. A great play toy that really doesn't take up all that much space. Great mini figs and a fun build. If you missed out on the last version save up and get one or find a benevolent family member :).

Great Toy!!!
" I feel a need to write this review. First, this is a toy. Second, this is a toy! Now that is out of the way this is a great toy. The build is fantastic, fun, and entertaining. The best part of this set is that my kids (three of them) love this set. They had a great time building it, playing with it, destroying it, and re-building it. Is it movie accurate? Um, no it is a toy! If you build Lego sets because they are fun and you can spend quality time with loved ones then this set is hard to beat. The many different small elements combine to make a great opportunity to play. There are so many different ways to re-create scenes from the movie and have fun doing it. I do have to admit that a few more imperial figures would have been nice but given the fact that I had many on hand already it is a small issue. With that if you want to spend money on many smaller sets go for it but if you are so inclined to save up some money and have one great play set than this is a great one to purchase.
