"This set is amazing. My family has a Lego Christmas display and with this set we started a Halloween display too. It was so much fun to build. The techniques used were so clever. I was very impressed with how solid and sturdy the house is. There are a lot of fun little details throughout the house. I love how the doors open, and the simple yet genius way the portrait lights up with the specter behind it. It is actually larger than I expected. The mechanism for the elevator is simple and perfect (though I did have to try a few times to get the ride set inside the shaft properly so that it would wind properly). I also loved that there were no stickers and the quality of the printed pieces was excellent.
I do have a few small criticisms: I wish there was a connector piece or peg or something to keep the house locked closed (I have an old castle set that has this). I also think it would have been nice if there was some sort of catwalk around the second floor so the minifigs could stand up there - there just isn't really room if you wanted to display them looking at the exhibits. I love the Egyptian curse theme running throughout the house, but it would have been even cooler if there was a Pharaoh/Mummy minifig included and maybe even a sarcophagus to stand beside the obelisk.
Overall I would definitely recommend this set. I love showing it off and my kids love playing with it. Definitely looking forward to more Halloween sets in the future (hopefully with more monsters!)."
"Great little set. The wagon is so cute. There weren't too many stickers and I like how the Jack-o-lantern sticker was one piece (unlike the pumpkin in the pumpkin and bat duo set). I loved the jack-o-lantern piece; I just wish there were a couple more. A few minor criticisms: the tractor is too wide to drive through the gate (I'm planning on modifying it slightly to make it wider) and I wish the child had bendable legs so she could sit in the wagon.
Overall a great set to add on to my Halloween display."
