Lakeside Lodge
" This is a thoroughly excellent set. Brilliant value for money (much better than all other sets of the same price I was considering, as this set's price per brick value works out at about 5.4 pence), plenty of fun details and a perfect size for what it is. The build was very enjoyable, completed in an evening, with no faults to the design found. The moose was a nice touch, giving the model some setting in the world (I always picture somewhere around the Great Lakes). The set is aesthetically pleasing, and now occupies a prime position on the bedroom shelf. I would heartily recommend it to a friend. "

First Modular Purchase
" 10246 Detective's Office is my first modular building set, and it did not disappoint; the build was challenging, and the piece count was what I expected for the price. I put the build time as 5 days only because I started building on the Thursday evening and built on and off around homework and illness until the late afternoon of the Tuesday, so I'm not exactly sure how long I actually spend on the build. There are many small sections that you come across at various points that use bricks in interesting, unexpected ways (such as the bench at the front-right of the building, the chair in the office and the pool table), and the extra feature of the barrel passageways on the ground floor is impressive (a barrel containing round 1x1 plates printed as sweets can be pushed into the barber's shop through a grate at the rear of the building, out from behind a cabinet, then under the alleyway floor via a false wall in the barber's shop, then out into the pool hall through a hidden gap beneath the trophy alcove). There is a kitchen on the top floor made to look like it is producing sweets, which fits in well with the barrel passageway (the sweets could be made on the top floor, then taken downstairs and outside, then put into the barber's shop through the wall, then taken into the pool hall to be sold). My only suggested improvement for this set would be to add a door at the point where the stairs meet the alleyway, to make the building seem a little more secure. This is only a minor suggestion, and overall I thoroughly enjoyed building this set. I would definitely recommend it to a friend. "

Mos Eisley at Christmas
" I received this LEGO set for Christmas from my grandparents after a three year absence from LEGO building (tragic, I know), as my reintroduction to LEGO. I must say, Mos Eisley Cantina was an amazing present. Within an hour of unwrapping, I was into the first bag, and even for a self-described "expert" LEGO builder with many dozens of sets' experience, this was a hugely entertaining build. The play value of this set is amazing - the landspeeder on its own would have made a great set, and the details in the Cantina itself are very impressive and sophisticated. I was most impressed by the dew back and the minifigures; they are far more detailed than those I remember from a just a few years ago (and still have somewhere). Overall, I would highly recommend this set to anyone considering purchasing it for its amazing detail and play value. I must add it is great fun to build. Have fun building. :-) "
