Car Transporter
" As a stand-alone product, this is a satisfying build, being a large set with a favourable piece count to $ ratio. I particularly like the flip-forward cab, exposing the engine with operating pistons, and the raising/lowering upper deck mechanisms. The blue car is a nice inclusion, with operating steering & working pistons.
However, I purchased this set as a functioning display for my Creator Expert models [Mini Cooper, VW Beetle, & VW Camper]. While these physically fit, the top deck(s) are a bit too flimsy to support the weight, although I get that this was probably not the intended purpose.
That being said, and for anyone interested, there IS room on the bottom deck for the Top Gear Rally Car (#42109), though it's about 1/2" too wide.

Nicely detailed
" As this is a retired set, it was purchased from an aftermarket reseller.
A welcome addition to any collection, it's nicely detailed, including picnic blanket & hamper, with wine glasses, blocks of cheese, and baguette, in the 'boot'.
A satisfying build in 3 stages with numbered bags, though perhaps not as challenging as the VW T1 Camper Van (# 10220).

Enjoyable build
" Received this set as a Father's Day gift from my adult son. I haven't actively built Lego for probably more than 15-years, and this is my first Creator Expert [read: adult] set.
Non-numbered, seemingly random, bags out of the box came as a surprise, but, after sorting the pieces a bit, added to the experience, like a jigsaw puzzle. For an aged 'novice' the build went well, though a number of elements are quite finicky.
Of the finished product, I'm impressed with the details - pop-top, folding seat/bed & table, wardrobe, kitchen, etc.
I would, however, agree with many other reviews, that the integrity is quite fragile - reconfiguring some pieces would result in better rigidity, and in some places fewer longer/larger pieces would do (though I suspect this is more for the piece count). This is a set to be displayed, not played with.
Overall, an enjoyable & satisfying build that has renewed my 'spark' in Lego. "
