"Make a great present this Valentines Day and includes some good details. Would have been good to include an extra male and female lego figure for those of us in LGBT relationships."
"The town is constructed entirely of wood and stands upon wooden pillars sunk into the bed of the Long Lake, south of the Lonely Mountain and east of Mirkwood. It seems that the town's prosperity is built on trade between the Men, Elves & Dwarfs.
Pros - The boat is very fun to make and good recreation from the movie - Comes with Bard and Master of Lake Town - The small detail of snow is a nice touch. - Captures the feel from the film
Cons - Could have come with more than one guard and perhaps orcs. - More detail within the buildings."
"Dol Guldur was Sauron's stronghold in Mirkwood and now it captures the spookiness in Lego Form.
The set was rather quick and easy to build. There is no real specific feature which stands out in this set, nor does it have the gravitas as depicted in the films and books.
Pros - Comes with Radagast, The Necromancer and Azog - Good for castle builders - Good Price
Cons - It's a ruined wall, could have had more uniqueness. - Stickers - Looks small after build, but made up after buying smaller set."
"I spotted this set on offer and thought I would give it ago. I don't normally buy Lego City products, but I've changed my mind after getting this set.
The set as some unique ways of building the vehicle and looks very solid and well thought out when constructed. It also as the bonus of little features such as the rear lifts up and a tiny wheel to make the trash fall into the back of the dumpster.
The two lego city garbage characters had a lot of fun cleaning up the mess of my Lego Isengard that day!"
""Here stood a tower of marvelous shape. It was fashioned by the builders of old, who smoothed the Ring of Isengard, and yet it seemed a thing not made by the craft of Men, but riven from the bones of the earth in the ancient torment of the hills".
I was very excited to hear this had finally been released! Looking at the pictures online don't do it justice. It looks far bigger in real life! Orthanc was fun to build surprisingly being mostly all black. There was a few small moments when It got repetitive doing the same thing over, but stepping back and looking and it's awesomeness kept me going. It's got some nice little easter eggs hidden away inside and I found replacing the black orb with the Eye of Suaron with clear globe from the "Wizard Battle" set much more aesthetically pleasing.
Pros It's the Tower of Orthanc need I say more Saurman and Wormtounge lego figures. The Ent Light Brick
Cons The price is abit steep, but worth it Should of come with more Orcs and Uruk Hai"
"Nothing shouts out Lord of the Rings more than Rivendell. This set catches the charm and visuals from the film and let us hope there is more to come from Lego to attach to this set in the near future.
The set comes with some nice unique pieces and also Elrond and Arwen which add to the expanding lord of the rings lego character collection."
"We are big Lego fans and it was unfortunate we had to buy two sets to make a two make couple for our big day. We did have the option to create our own within the lego store, but we liked the fancy bits and pieces of the set.
Great little set and something different for your big day, just wish Lego would include sets for the LBGT community,"
"This is a great little set and army builder for your Lord of the Rings play. The construction was enjoyable and the Lego figures are detailed and come with additional armour to spice things up abit.
My only woe with the set is that it needed more Uruk Hai. The Lego Battle for Helm's Deep is looking very easy for my Lego heroes at the moment. ;)"
"This is a great set for any Lego or Lord of the Rings Lord of the Rings fan. Not only is it great fun to build, but also has some cool little features, details and playability for the children too.
The set comes with some of the fellowship, Moria orcs and the cave troll and is a great edition and a my favourite so far of the Lego Lord of the Rings Sets."
