"As a experienced builder, I was pleasantly surprised that the build is a more exciting than it looks (I was worried the build would be 90% windows). Attention to detail is excellent and the final product looks incredibly like the one in the movies (seriously, pull up some pictures and compare the two). The techniques aren’t super fancy, but there are some angled windows and the front section of the bus is attached using bricks with studs on the sides. The curves along the top of the roof look nice without any major gaps. Details are all stickers, not printed parts, but that’s to be expected in a smaller set. The minifigures are all fairly detailed and look accurate to their appearances in the movies. The bus also comes with plenty of play features for younger fans, including a swinging chandelier, removable roof, bed that slides back and forth and can fit a minifigure, and a wall that swings open to allow interior access. The only way I think the set could be improved would be the inclusion of Sirius Black as his dog animagus. Overall, I’d say that this set would be a great choice for both younger fans that will be playing with it and adult collectors that want it to look nice. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quality Harry Potter set that isn’t too expensive."
"These two were really fun to build! They look great together on a desk or shelf. I loved the attention to detail with the coloring in Mando’s armor, his cape, and his signature weapons. The Child is absolutely adorable and I love the addition of the cradle. Obviously, the figures are not quite proportional to each other, but that is to be expected. There were a few interesting building techniques and I thought Mando’s helmet was very well done. This would be a good set for fans of all ages, and would be great to build alongside a friend. This is the way."
"This set is absolutely stunning! As a teenage Lego fan, this is one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. It’s a really fun and challenging build, with tons of hidden features and attention to detail. Even though it is much smaller than minifigure scale, the designer was able to add tons of detail to the different rooms and really capture the feel of the castle. Many of the unnamed students included in the set resemble specific characters, like Luna, Neville, and Ginny. I love the dragon on the tower and the tiny Ford Anglia! The stained glass windows look beautiful when you shine a light through! The set perfectly captures the iconic Hogwarts skyline and looks great on a coffee table or shelf for display. The exterior of the set looks very realistic and reminds me of sets from the Architecture line. There are many interesting building techniques, especially on the circular towers. I loved seeing how the designer used pieces intended for a minifigure scale set (a paintbrush for a broomstick, roller skate for the car tires, ski poles on the tops of the towers, etc). For a 6,000 piece set, it is surprisingly easy to move and is very sturdy. This set is absolutely worth the money and I would love to see more sets like it in the future!"
