Great in almost every way
" if you have a lego city, especially if you have the modular building like i am collecting, then the road pieces really are an essential part of the setup. without the roads the houses just seem to float randomly and cars seem to drive wherever they want but now they look like they have a purpose.
for the price the base plates are great value. However i would rather Lego seperated the plates out rather than charge us for two. especially considering the other set is a crossroad and a straight, i would like a couple of straights but my city does not yet call for a cross road so i wont be buying any of them quite yet. A Must Buy For the Advanced Builder
" The model looks fantastic and is guaranteed to turn heads. The amount of Detail on the outside is fantastic with features like the fire escape and railing on the roof helping to finish the model to a high standard.
The ground floor is full of food which can be moved by the mini-figs, and has a fridge which is crammed with colourful 'food' (which cannot be taken out but its probably better that way). has a decorative cash desk, once again with non-removable food underneath. The is also a hole for a mouse, which it doesn't actually fit through :(, and some mailboxes which are a nice tough (although I'm unsure why we need four mailboxes for one house, looks great though)
the first floor has a nice fire place and some detailed curtains leading to verandas. The bay window looks fantastic. However on the whole the rest of the floor is lacking furniture (which i have since designed myself thanks to Lego's 'Design By Me'
The second floor is similarly blank of furniture although the grandfather clock looks fantastic and the large rug is a nice addition. Some more furniture would have been nicer though (once again i have made my own) The Stairs are in a better location on this floor, which means that you do not have to leave a passageway through you furniture (which was handy as my bed takes up a lot of room.
The roof is a great addition. I'm not sure i can remember seeing it before ordering the model. It was a nice surprise when making the model anyway. There are a couple of Deckchairs a parasol and a BBQ, perfect for those hot summers (even if i have a Lego Santa sat up there at the moment!)
Overall the piece is fantastic, 9/10. and would easily have been a 10 if the whole of the building was furnished fully (i would have been willing to pay the extra price increase). I would recommend it to anyone, now i can't wait to get the fire brigade to go with it. "
