A stronger motor
" I have been waiting for Lego to sell these motors individually, I have a couple of them from the new train sets. These motors, with the new AAA battery boxes, are the answer I've been looking for to easily power my other non-powered trains. These new motors are MUCH stronger than the older RC trains motors, turning the larger wheels without issue. They did had some issues with the ones released in the new cargo train (awful squealing), but they sent me free replacements and assured me that the newer ones are OK. My only complaint is that they don't come with the decorative side pieces like the train sets have. These pieces are not inexpensive parts either, for 2 it cost me $6+ after shipping from Lego direct. Other than that, this is a must have for RC train enthusiasts. "

Yippie!
" I have been anxiously waiting for Lego to sell these by themselves. I have two from the new train sets and they are nice. Their small size makes them ideal for powering trains at only 4 studs wide and 4 bricks high. Things I like are it's small size, the green "on" light, and the reverse polarity switch. Things I wish it had are technic pin holes, an easier to open battery compartment (screws), and for the top to be recessed where the plug goes so it's even or flush across the top with plug on it. The rechargeable version of this is just way too expensive @$50 and has a longer down-time when the battery(s) dies. I have already ordered more of these as they will be great for other power function creations too. I give them a 9/10 for the aforementioned reasons. "

Cargo Train # 2
" This makes a great addition to the last cargo train Lego had. The new types of cars make for a nice variety. Over-all I am pleased with the set. It has a decent amount of track, a good looking engine and decent looking cars. The new, smaller battery boxes are great, they will be nice for other power functions creations. The truck could be better but it works just fine. I really like the more powerful motor too, it will work well powering the Toy Story train's large wheels.
-My complaints are that the new magnets are a bit weaker (probably the plastic in-between them), the container car is awkward to me, and the flexi-track isn't that great. In short, the flexi-track has shallow rails with gaps allowing the wheels to bottom-out and lose traction. It’s pretty annoying, especially when adding additional cars. Placing a roll (20 pennies wide) or two of pennies inside over the motor side of the engine greatly reduced this issue. I really like the smaller "AAA" battery boxes, but they do have a shorter run time than the “AA” type. Also, even though the magnets are weaker, they have a stud on them so the cars can be held together with 1x2 plates. I give this set a 9/10 for mediocre truck, only three train cars, but nice amount of track, nice crane, over -all good appearance. I liked mine so much I bought another one!
-P.S. What is the deal with people not being able to get minifigures in the small cars? Stick their arms up more and lean them forward!

Finally, Army Men!
" I had always wished Lego would make a military theme, but this will do. The minifigs faces are a little faded in appearance, that is my only complaint. I have bought 8 sets of these to build an army to protect my Lego City, I just change their heads and hands to make them look normal. Add a brown backpack and grey gun and they look awesome. The vehicle is easy to customize into a more realistic version too. I wish they would have made a variety of sets containing these minifigs, different vehicles and such. I give them a 10/10! "

Ridiculous...
" Ok, so our family, being HUGE Lego fans, naturally wanted to collect them all. SO, between Lego Shop at Home and a "certain toy store", we have bought a total of 87 minifigures. Yes, 87! And, if that isn't ridiculous enough... Would you believe that we didn't get one single Spartan figure! NOT ONE!!! So, what gives Lego?
These would be a 10/10 product in our opinion if the customer knew what they were getting and could just simply buy them out-right. We absolutely LOVE the idea of collecting unique minifigures, but Lego seriously needs to change how this works. I would gladly pay more than $2 a piece if I knew what I was getting, in the long run it would be less expensive. We have all of the Vintage minifigure sets, at $17.99 that's roughly $3.60 a piece.
So, to sum it up, if there's a Series 3 of "mystery figures" we're more than likely going to pass them up. The excellent idea of collecting unique minifig's is ruined when a child opens a Lego product and is disappointed. That is a day I thought I'd never see...

Not the best idea...
" Ok, first off I have to say that I really love the variety of minifigs, a very nice addition to our city/town. But, I have to agree with some of the negative comments. The mystery thing only seems to ensure Lego will sell a ton of these. I have been a huge lego fan for sometime and am a little annoyed with this strategy as well. Between me and my son we have bought 48 packages of these things! Almost an entire case and still NO NINJA! I welcomed duplicates with most figures, but seriously, that is ridiculous. Somebody out there has a ton of Ninja's, LOL. And yes, people buying them to sell for profit are ruining the availability of them for the rest of us. This guy at the "store" was scanning them with his cheat sheet . To sum it up, the figures are great but getting them is expensive and difficult. "

Fun set, decent price.
" I got this set for 25% off, so no cost complaints here! The neat claw feature on the crane got my attention, glad I bought it. The conveyor belt works o.k., the crane falls forward easy on carpet. Does well paired with Garbage Truck Getaway. First (and only?) Toy Story 3 set to have stickers, :(I Don't have Pizza Planet Rescue). I love this set for it's unique pieces, dirty minifig aliens, Woody & Hamm (and another Lotso). I give this set 9/10 for stickers, garbage belt sticks sometimes, crane falls over, great unique minifigs & pieces and good price. "

Very cool...
" A great collection of new minifigs. All the new accessories are great, very cool weapon additions. Neat horse also, odd color saddle. I think the price is GREAT. I read a lot of moaning about the price, but I disagree. Anyone who has ever bought individual minfigs should know this is a great deal. 4 minifigs, a horse, new weapons and accessories, + pieces. I give this set 10/10 for cool new stuff, good price. "

Neat train, but...
" I really like the style of this train, new pieces too. The cars are very nice looking, the details are good. I would like the cars to be a little longer, but this would have greatly added to the cost/price I imagine. It doesn't come with any track, luckily I have a lot already. My only big complaint is that I don't see any easy way to motorize the train. I'm sure it can be done, I just haven't tried yet. Over all it is a nice set, great minifigures. You can really put lego coins in Hamm! With the addition of some track the play experience will greatly increase. I give this set 8/10 for no track, no motor, small cars, but good price and painted decals! "

Very neat little truck.
" I really like how this truck is put together, nice looking. I dislike that the driver doesn't have a real minifig body, but understand that it is a more accurate model as is. Very neat minifigs, I like Stretch's rubbery legs and Chunk's turning face. Very cool dump bed, and dumping action. Very nice details all around. The truck is a little small. I give this set 9/10 for no driver minifig body, slightly high price. "
