A must have set
" Since Lego discontinued their previous generations of Jedi Starfighters; I was glad to see that they created a brand new one with better features. Since blue is my favorite color, the color scheme is, in my opinion, the best part of this set(Sorry about all of those commas). There is a good balance of both blue and white in the starfighter which makes it very movie relevant. As for the build, the starfighter was very easy to construct and it all stays together pretty well. The ejection function works very well and it launches any minifigure quite a sizable distance. I only have a few minor complaints regarding this set. This set should have been $20 instead of $25 because of the low amount of pieces and minifigures included. This next complaint also goes out to any other sets that include an astromech compartment. The compartment should be horizontal relative to the starfighter, rather than vertical; that way the astromech droid would be able to face forward instead of off to the side of the fighter. My last complaint is that the starfighter should have include flick fire missiles or something like that. Overall this is a good set and I recommend it to any fan of star wars.
One question about your website, Lego: Why is the name "Plokoon"(without a space between them) inappropriate language for a review?
Seriously, write your own review and it counts as inappropriate language. "

Dooku is on the prowl
" I received this set for Christmas and it's so cool. It is only slightly to small in my opinion for it's AU$100 price (don't care, that's my auntie's problem). It is a special edition with rare mini figs so all is forgiven.
The mini figures are totally cool and rare. You get a new Count Dooku with a brown cape, hood (hair as well) and new chrome lightsaber hilt. The design is new but it uses chrome which is different from the sets out at the moment. I think Ventress should have had 2 of these hilts instead of her ones with no detail. You also get a never before seen (so I believe) pilot droid which is which is white and has a skeleton foot for a head. Finally you get 2 magna guards which can only be found in this set and the Magna Guard Starfighter.
The Solar Sailor itself is an enjoyable build. When building you get to see the intricacy in lego's work. There is a little room inside and has the wing like contraptions that make up the sail. From the side these look good opened up, but from the front there is no gap between them. I thought this was strange as I imagined them as parachute cables, aiming all in different directions. But anyway there are many large, obvious stickers which I wouldn't normally worry about until I mucked them up! This was annoying. My only other hassle with the sailor is the cockpit. It is well made but the pilot droid has to stand up, lean and double over to fit in. He/she looks sick. You get 4 flick fire missiles with 2 mechanisms which work well
The only other thing you get with this set is a speeder for Count Dooku. It is well made, sized and is the same as in the "Clone Wars" and in "Star Wars episode II". The speeder fits in the sailor well, but I worry about ripping Dooku's cape.
A quick summary in pros and cons.
PRO'S
Rare mini figures.
Cool speeder.
Mostly good design.
CON'S
Sail attempt falls slightly short.
Cockpit could be better.
Large obvious stickers (I don't really care too much, but I know others do).
Overall a great special edition set with rare mini figures an a great design. Buy this whenever you get the chance as this is a hard to find item (in Australia). Great work Lego."

Perfect
" I actually got this set around march before I finally decided to write my review for it.This set is one of the most impressive sets that Lego has ever created. I'll start with the minifigures. This is one of the very few sets around where every single minifigure in this set is exclusive to this set and you cannot find a single one of them in any other set that is currently on sale(although Mon Mothma has princess Leia's head and Anakin Skywalker's hair). Every minifigure here is great, but I have one complaint: for a price of $110 for only 789 pieces I would have expected more minifigures in this set such as Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Chewbacca, and possibly a rebel technician because they were all a major part of this scene, but I digress. Now onto the hangar bay and the A-wing ship. When I started to build the hangar, I didn't think it was going to be very sturdy but once I finished building it, I realized that it was, in fact very sturdy and I liked the way it looked when I was done building it. Next is the A-wing. This version of the A-wing features two unique looking flick-fire missiles on the side of the craft that work perfectly, a removable engine and a small kickstand near the front of the ship to keep it from tipping over. The cockpit comfortably seats one minifigure(but he has to sit leaning back a little bit). The turning mechanism in the middle of the hangar works very well and the A-wing ship fits perfectly onto it. I liked how Lego spaced out the walls of the hangar perfectly so that the A-wing wouldn't crash into the walls when you turn the ship on its "pedestal". The top of the hangar features a cable and a "camera" like element that can attach to the engine of the A-wing ship for added realism. Both the left and right sides of the repair hangar feature small compartments with open/close hatches that you can use to store things in. The hangar also features a filling station near a small platform located in the far right of the hangar; you can use one of the pipes and attach it to the A-wing's gas tank for more added realism. Now, the briefing room. This room is very unique and stunningly similar to the movie. The building technique was one that I have never seen before. The "hologram" is basically a bunch of discs with a transparent orange sphere on top supported by one pole down the middle. Admiral Ackbar's spinning chair function is exactly the same as the one used in the hangar bay and it works just as well. The entire set as a whole is fantastic and they combine together very well, even if I did get this set on sale, it's still worth the full price. I recommend it to anyone.
I know I've asked this many times before, but: is it possible to make a set(s) containing jar jar binks, Qui gon jin, Padme Amidala, and the Episode 1 form of Obi-wan kenobi? I missed out on the Episode 1-3 sets that included them. "

Nice
" I haven't owned this product long, but, it has seen a lot of use and is shot down by clone commandos every day.
I'll start the reveiw with the front, continuing on to the back.
The cockpit opens with two simple hinged pieces and , with effort, you should be able to fit two minifigures in it. Yes, it is really that large.
The landing gear are technic pieces that fold up like actual landing gear. The fin on the back of the shuttle is actually hollow. The fin is made by attaching bricks with knobs on the side to a large wing plate, under that four blue wing plates in the back. The reason this fin is hollow is so you can open the cockpit, it has an anntenanne on top, without breaking it every time you open it.
The door in the back opens using a great number of conceled technic parts above the cargo area. There are knobs on each side of the shuttle so if your right or left handed you can open it. There is a boarding ramp that extends out and also serves as a seat.
This transport is best used to move high officials, such as Rex or Cody or as included in the set,Nute Gunray, around the galaxy. The shuttle is sporting three Ion Cannons, unless those are headlights, under the cockpit.
The minifigures are quite detailed and can only be better if Nute Gunray had a cape like in the movies, or the characters had printed legs. For $30 , the amount of minifigures in this set is superb.I recommend this product to any one who has a clone commando, or needs to transport their leaders safetly around the battlefield or even the entire galaxy!
PROS:
NICE AMOUNT OF FIGURES
VERY STURDY
INNOVATIVE DESIGN
SEATS A GOOD NUMBER OF MINIFIGURES
CONS:
a few stickers, but not too big a pain.
Despite the seven stickers, this set is fabulous and don't let that small fact render your purchase. Buy this as quickly as possible and I promise, you will be pleased. Oh, another thing, the playability is small with this set alone but with other sets, like the clone walker, you will never put it down!

Great!
" As a modern man, you must have keys. So do I. It is very nice to have a minifigure with me all day. I don't think it is connected to any age bracket, (I am 29).
Yes it is possible, to get rid from the chain itself, and use the minifigure, but I do not suggest this: as all chain figures, there will be a small metal part left on the head and you can not turn the head or divide the torso from the legs. (legs and arms are movable). If it is a rare minifigure and you really want it, just do it, that's your choice.
As with any minifig it is vulnerable, so if you want to keep this in good condition (e.g. paint) for a very long time, use it carefully, as with any of your things.
About the price: a bit expensive if you compare it with mini kits, but it is rare and exclusive, so it's worth the money. As a present, it is fine for children.
Would I recommend this? If we're talking about general key chain minifigures then, absolutely YES.
If we're talking about this, then only if you like stormtroopers. Everyone has their own favorite minifigure. There are many out there, so you can choose, which one is your favorite. This one is mine!!!!"

Get it before it's gone!
" "I originally bought this set when it came out several years ago, and decided to write my review on it. The x-wing itself is my favorite rebel ship and was glad when they came out with it. My friend has the original $30 x-wing which came with a small rebel vehicle and Biggs Darklighter, who died in his x-wing in episode IV. What I like about this is the general size and ease of building this set. The long nose of the ship is very sleek and sturdy, the only problem being that the landing gear near the back of the nose is not necessarily stable on my ship, and breaks off easily or does not stay on the right setting, the heaviness of the ship pushing it down. The back part of the ship lacks any landing gear of the sort, instead bricks are put beneath the bulk of the ship to support its weight with a more sturdy, displacing surface. There is a small compartment on the bottom of the nose which can hold Luke's lightsaber if you wish, but I prefer not to since during use of the x-wing, it bangs around and sometimes the container opens up and the lightsaber falls out. The cockpit is very nice, although I don't like how the computer screen was used from the episode IV scene of going down the long chute, since this set is basically set during the time of the escape of the rebels from Hoth in episode V. The only complex part of building this set was the technic pieces to allow the "x-foils" to go from the flat, landing and flying position to form the X of the fighting position. This is done by turning a small tab on the back of the ship, which rotates some gears, and eventually turns small tabs between the wings near the connection to the base and make the X. Unfortunately, this process is a lot slower than some of the other mechanisms Lego has come out with. Also, there are small lights on the front part of the wings, which often fall off as they are not connected well. The guns also do not always stay on well, being knocked off if they bump into anything. This set was also very cool because it helped boost my Hoth battle, since I have the rebel base, but it lacked the characters included in this set, such as Princess Leia or Han Solo. I owned a Chewbacca already, and the one included in this set seemed to be poorly made, as the top part of the wookie body seemed to be welded to the bottom part, forming a thick line. But overall this is a cool set"
PS: To the Lego Company, is it possible to make a set(s) containing jar jar binks, Qui gon jin, Padme Amidala, and the Episode 1 form of Obi-wan kenobi? I missed out on the Episode 1-3 sets that included them. "

Most average set ever
" Let me start this review by saying that this is an excellent tribute to the Episode 3 prequel of star wars. First of all, the minifigures. I admit, that I actually have absolutely no idea who Barriss Offee even is, but he(or she?) is a great Jedi army builder. Three is a very good number of battle droids to either start a separatist army or to build upon one you already have; and this is the only set where you can get one of the old versions of the super battle droids. The episode 3 clone trooper is fantastic and extremely rare, and this is the only set that is currently available that includes him. Now onto the swamp speeder. The speeder is great and it has a place to seat the clone trooper and Barriss Offee but the flick fire missiles don't go as far as I thought they would; and the hidden wheels aren't exactly so hidden once you're finished building the set, but it does give a good "hovering" appearance. My only complaint i that this set should have been$25 instead of $30, otherwise this is a great set and I recommend you get this before it sells out. "

Go Ewoks!
" I must say that this is one of the most impressive sets that Lego has ever created(besides the home one Mon calamari star-cruiser set). I'll start with the minifigures. This set has the absolute HIGHEST number of minifigures compared to its price, and most of them are exclusive only to this set, here is a list of them:The 3 ewoks; Paploo, Wicket, and Chief Chirpa, Princess Leia in Endor clothing, two Scout Troopers, and two Rebel commandos, but the ones that aren't exclusive to this set are only found in much more expensive ones and here is a list of them, as well as the other more expensive sets you have to buy to get them: Han Solo(a.k.a Harrison Ford) and Chewbacca are both only found in the dreaded death star set($400) and the Ultimate collectors edition Millennium Falcon set($500) The imperial trooper is also only found in the dreaded death star. The original R2-D2 is great(tired of the Clone wars version) Unfortunately the ewoks have stubby legs and that means you can't bend them but that's O.K. Han Solo and Chewbacca are totally awesome, because this is the cheapest set you can find them in(other than the magnet sets) and lastly, the imperial trooper is rare and is a very exquisite addition to any imperial army. Personally, I would have preferred it if C-3PO were included in this set, but that's fine. Now, onto the vehicles and catapults. First off, the two bikes are awesome and they're not limited to being used only within the star wars universe, they can also be used to help your police force or build your wold racers team or whatever else you want to do with them, but I have one complaint on the bikes, It's kind of hard to get the bikers to hold onto the handles attached to the bikes, and sometimes it can be difficult to remove the minifigures from their bikes, because their feet can get stuck to the seat, but I'll let that slide. The ewok glider is my most favorite part of this set, because you can get a stone to fall out of the back of his glider just like in the movie! Next, The catapults. The catapult works just the way I thought it would and it even has a place to store your ewoks' spear and crossbow weapons when they're not using them. And then there was the AT-ST, as far as I know this is the only set you can get it in and the movable legs function is impressive and works really well, but the interior of he AT-ST should have had controls in it, like in the movie, but the build was very interesting and complex. Now, Finally the bunker. This bunker is very nice and has many features in it, including the sliding door and the build was also very interesting and complex. The exploding wall function is very nice and is easy to reset. I like that there were control panels and tank elements within the bunker it makes it more relative to the movie, but there's one thing wrong about the middle part of the bunker; it should have been built with one medium-sized base-plate instead of a bunch of really small plates. I mean, I get that the color on the outside should be different from the color on the inside but a medium-sized base would be more sturdy and you could always put the different color plates on the inside also, the entire sides of the bunker is controlled by one puny four stud turning element, I question the "structural integrity" of this set because of that design flaw(no wonder why the death star was destroyed so easily). Other than that, this set is just perfect and you should get it before it's gone. jediMasteryoda out! "

The separatists' worst nightmare
" When I first looked at the box, I noticed it wasn't quite as heavy like it was a year ago. Putting that situation aside, I knew this set are one of the few to purchase(other than the R. Fighter Tank, but it's really hard to find) but due to that, I chose the Shuttle.
The building took approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes with the help of my brother. Without his help, it would probably take 2 hours and 20 minutes or maybe even 3 hours. The set's manual was clear and it had 2 manual books!(not used to it, lol)
Let me just list it's features.
Semi-Flick-Fire Missiles= This set offers 8 missiles in which you push a button (using a rubber band) and hit those clankers in 5 seconds around. However for inactive people, the missiles occasionally hit the cockpit (VERY BAD situation) but if you modify it, you need to take the pieces (that keep the cockpit from lowering) out to lower it a bit more. Another tip is to just hit it harder than you normally would. The storage for the missiles also fall down so you can reload, which is real unique. The last advice is to either position the shuttle downwards to avoid hitting the cockpit.
Bombing System = The bombs have nice colors but perhaps change the blue to red. It has two bombing shacks with 2 bombs each. It also includes a function in which it bombs one at a time. The only problem I have with this is that it sometimes breaks and the knob or place in which you move the handle to drop the bombs are a bit too small.
Wings = The wings have a nice design and stays in 2 positions, landing mode and flying mode.
Soldier Compartment = With the weapon rack, it can only hold 3 soldiers. (one side you put 2 clones back-to-back) But if you modify it you can hold 7 but you may have to leave the mini-figs empty-handed.
Turrets = It has 2 rotating turrets that spins and shoots rapidly! (with your imagination) It also has 2 other turrets that can go 360 but isn't like a ball.
Pilot Cockpits = It flips on both sides and you can hold 1 pilot, and a co-pilot. The only thing missing is a 2x2 piece with buttons on it.
Cons
- Needs a buzzdroid or a mandolorian to mess up the mission.
- Some places break a bit too easily but again I have to modify it.
- The bomb gets stuck but just tilt the ship so you can again or until you hear a plastic sound to drop the bombs again.
- The part in which you hold on while dropping boms breaks (in the video) and the whole ship falls and some pieces breaks. Structurability(if that's even a word) = 88%
- Perhaps let the wings move at the same time or let it stay in more positions if not, it's alright.
Pros
-(listed most of it)
- The lightsaber isn't the paint that wears off but seems a lot more durable and the lightsaber color part doesn't fall off easily.
- Engines are cool and the small stand for it doesn't break off that much.
Overall: 94%

best set ever
" "Well, as the title says, no other set that Lego has ever come up with could possibly compare to the amazing features this one has, and the fact that it's that big and is not one of the ultimate collector series sets with no minifigures, makes it even more amazing. To start off, the value for money was well worth it for me, since I got it for Christmas, but even if I did pay for it, this set is worth the money. When I got this set, it came in a box so immense it's as big as my 42 inch television screen or so. Inside were 4 smaller boxes, and the 2 thick instruction booklets. It took me forever to get all the pieces taken out of the bags, as there are around 50 bags I think, probably more. Make sure that you do not miss any pieces when you get rid of the bags, as I missed a black one and thought it had not come with the set. What you should do when you start building this set is separate all the pieces into color, which will take awhile. Then go through and separate those sections into sections by piece. After you have done that, go through the pieces index in the back of the instruction booklet and make sure that all the pieces are there. And just so you know, the gray thing is R2-D2's head, which I could not figure out since they printed no decals on the index part. All these bricks took up my entire dining room table for a few days, and I had to bring in our small card table to build the set on since there was no room. Then I got around to building this immense set, and I received no help in doing. All of this took around 5 days of on-and-off work, so I'd say if you went nonstop 48 hours. When I finished the complete set, I was absolutely amazed at the size. To start from the bottom up in describing the set, the lowest level is basically a basement to the rest of this set. The height barely supports a minifigure, so if you have big hands, its hard to fit anything underneath it. Fortunately 1/4 of it is used as the huge chasm of the room I will describe later, but lets just say there is no ceiling there. On the second level, there is a small room with a platform and a short tower in the middle of it. This is where Obi-Wan shut down the tractor beam in episode IV, and when you pull the tab facing away from the door, the blue "beam" of energy falls down, disconnecting it from the ceiling and in essence turning off the tractor beam. In another room on the 2nd floor, there is a very large gun. It can sit two people on its rotating base, it has 2 different gun parts, and there is a rocket launcher sitting on top of it. I absolutely love the design of this gun, the only bad thing being that if you aggravate it enough, it will disconnect from the base, as there is only 4 studs connecting such a huge thing. In the room adjacent to the gun room, there is a crane with a seat, and a few crates near it. I assume this area is the storage room. In between those two rooms, there is a small gun rack for four of the larger laser guns. On the other wall of this room, there are two doors, both being gotten to by ladders, one higher than the other. This open into the chasm room, which is used for the scene when Luke and Leia were trapped behind a door in episode IV as they were escaping the death star. The ledges from the storage room are traditionally used as the side they swung to. This set even includes the rope for them to swing across. In total, there are four doors opening to this room, two high and two low, one of each on each side. Also in the storage room, there is an elevator which goes up to the third level. The room it enters into is like the docking bay for ships. In it is Darth Vader's personal ship, and although it was made mini to fit inside the bay, if you take Vader's cape off, he can fit inside the ship. Overlooking the bay is a set of glass windows. Behind them is a row of computers and a ledge for imperial officers to overlook the happenings of the bay area. There is a ladder leading up to this ledge. Also with these computers is a small knob which can turn and open the door leading to the bay area. The sliding of this mechanism was designed perfectly. In the room with the ledge is the immense laser of the Death Star. Although in the movies the battle station would simply rotate to aim the laser, to promote playing and so the set stays stationary, you can rotate the laser and cause it to go up and down. This mechanism is made by a few technic pieces. The areas it can move to are of course limited because of the floor and bricks designed to block it from going to far. There is a platform on the base of the laser containing its own set of computers, used to fire the laser. The laser itself is very neat and I love how they made it in that round design, and also the transparent green pieces are very cool. Leading through the door on the other side of this room is the prison room, where Chewbacca, Han Solo, and Luke rescued Princess Leia before her execution in episode IV. There is a set of 5 computers in this room and a swiveling camera on the ceiling like the ones that they shot in the movie. The prison itself has steps leading to it, and if you look at it straight on, gives the appearance that there is really a cell in every opening, when in realism for this set there is only the one that held Princess Leia. The barred wall of this cell opens up to reveal a bed for Leia to lay on, which is accurate to the movie. Outside the cell is a small knob which lifts a door to open the cell. Opposite that is another knob which opens up the hole which leads directly into the garbage chute. There is some "trash" in this area, and there are some spots so that the minifigures can stand. Unfortunately the Dianoga takes up a lot of space in here, so it's difficult to fit it and all 4 figures in it. On the ceiling of this room is a small pole, which when you push in, which compact the walls of the room, accurate to the movie. Of course since a point on each wall is fixed to allow for rotation, so it does not actually compact everything fully. Beneath the ledge where Obi-Wan turned off the tractor beam is a smooth, long brick. Along this is where you pull the door open for the garbage shoot. On the top floor, there is an imperial meeting room like the one in episode IV, and it has 7 swiveling chairs. The table also comes off to reveal a storage area, which is used for guns in this set. Across from this room is more of the repair room. This room contains a small area with tools, a cart which is used to hold a gun, a table with a "magnifying glass", a little bucket to hold things, another little area to hold stormtrooper helmets, and there is a table in the middle. If you lift that table up, you will see a small knob. If you turn that knob, it will rotate the holder for the mini version of the mini tie fighter The last room on the fourth level is actually supposed to be the surface of the Death Star, with two laser guns. The guns can aim up and down from 0-90 degrees, and there is a small pole beneath them to swivel them so they are aiming the same direction. Below this is Emperor Palpatine's throne room. It has the stairs which lead up to his "throne" which should overlook space to be accurate to the movie, but as they wanted everything to be facing inward, the window faces the bay area, which is the perfect position for it. There are also the cool little computer things beside the throne. The area in the room is big enough for Darth Vader and Luke to fight. There is also a small ledge in the room, but it is designed to collapse. At first I thought it was really dumb, but then realized the point of it when I re-watched episode VI and saw that Darth Vader threw his lightsaber at the supports of a ledge while Luke was on it. A nice little feature to this set. There are also two holes in the floor and a bridge crossing them so Darth Vader can throw the Emperor into it, and these lead into the chasm room, so the Emperor has farther to fall, and not into some random room. Also in the repair room is the knob to control the main elevator. This elevator can go to every single level of this Death Star, and for easier placement of figures on it, you can remove the top most piece, the large round one, and it will open up a space while still allowing the elevator to work. If you were a minifigure in this set and the elevator worked, it would be possible to go into every room of this place, they designed the doors leading off from it and to different rooms that well. The only room you would lack access to would be the one which is meant to be on the surface. Above the room with the laser is the room with the knob to control the direction of the laser. There are two stands for minifigures in this room, the center most one having a knob in the middle. This knob controls the lasers height, the platform itself controls its horizontal aiming. On the wall opposite this rooms door is a long black screen. This holds a brick which has stickers having pictures of Alderaan(bad spelling I think) and its location when moving around the moon to shoot at the rebel base, both of these being in episode IV. I love all 24 of the minifigures that came with this set. C-3PO is more gold than he usually is, and all the other figures have more defined features about them. It also contains Ben Kenobi, who hasn't been in any cheap sets recently, so I'm glad I now have him. This is the best set that Lego has ever come up with, and I hope to enjoy more of their products later on" "
