Very Useful Service - Extend to Educational Pieces
" The facility to buy extra bricks is very useful, especially for finishing your own models, and for buying a few pieces from a set that you may have missed out on when you had to prioritise your purchases.
Used in conjunction with fan sites like Bricklink and Brickset it enables you to find the part numbers of any piece, or a set containing them, to see if they are in stock. I am sometimes disappointed that some pieces seem to be always out of stock but you can phone up instead and they might be available by another route. I was pleased that some more special pieces became available. Sometimes I get ideas of "I didn't know the piece was available in that colour".
One extra thing I would wish for is that all pieces from educational sets be added to the range; these are currently unavailable unless you are an educator by profession.
I would also wish that, when I put a set number in, it would show how many of each piece the set contains, next to the relevant piece pictures, as it does in the set instructions. That way, if you are buying a set's worth of a piece, you know how many to buy. This can also be done via Bricklink inventories but it takes time for fans to write them for newer sets.
The price of pieces in this service is not cheap compared to sets but the value yield is high because you can buy exactly what you need in most cases. I have used this service several times and it has extended my model building.
I would recommend Technic kits but the product recommendation selector cannot reach beyond themes beginning with "M".
