Caterbus has room for improvement
" I’m going to echo what another reviewer mentioned. The most disappointing thing about this set is the rainbow stripes on the bus were done very poorly. They have you attaching stickers to complete the full color stripe, and it does not look good. There are several other pieces where the color of the pieces could have been kept consistent with each color stripe, so that it actually looks like a stripe of color. I would have much rather had one larger, really great Caterbus, than all the extra stuff they added into the set. I realize this was probably a difference in priorities, and they wanted to create more “play” in the set, but I wish it wasn’t at the sacrifice of a much nicer bus!
I was also really excited about the cloud guy, but he was made with a bunch of existing pieces. His face is a piece that attached to a cloud piece with a sticker on it! If they could have created new mini figs for the other characters, I think he could have been designed better too.
I do disagree with the other reviewer on the felt pieces. I think it was very intentional to reference the movies that include lots of felt/fiber textures in the design/illustration. I like the element of mixing materials and it felt like a nice addition to the Trolls sets!
I do love the Caterbus face, how the eyes move and the use of the dot pieces to make the mouth – very cute! I loved the ball wheels too.
This is the only set I’ve purchased that I regretted, and I really wish I would have purchased a different Trolls set. "
