An Improvement, but Lacking Interior Details
" I eagerly await the release of each modular building and hope Lego keeps the line going for many years to come.
Unfortunately, the Corner Garage and Downtown Diner have been major disappointments for me compared to the four modulars that came before them. I'm therefore very pleased that the Bookshop is a step in the right direction towards previous years' excellence, but there are some improvements I hope Lego makes for next years' model.
The exterior is good and I like the pumpkin patch at the back. However, this leads me on to my main concern and that is that this set lacks interesting and enough interior details. I don't know how a bookshop can only have one physical book and so few depictions of bookshelves. The other disappointing thing is that I would have liked fewer bedrooms and living spaces and more unique services / establishments / settings that we haven't seen before in this line. There are still plenty of these to cover, so it seems a bit of a waste to focus on more apartment bedrooms when only one building is released per year. "
