"I enjoyed this set but no where near as much as the Diagon Alley set. The micro scale made it hard to see and appreciate the overall detail. I also imagine if you were planning to play with it the play experience would not be great. I did really love the Founders Minifigures.
As for the the exterior is amazing and really accurate. My biggest negative feedback is that there are tons of small pieces with tedious building techniques. My mom got me this set, if I paid for it I feel like I would be a lot harder on the experience."
"This set is a really great value. It offers a large area with some really cool moving parts such as the clock and the type ball dance. I think by far my favorite is the Prefect’s bathroom with the mermaid stain glass. This is such a great added feature. I was the sword over Dumbledore’s desk was the one Griphook had in the Minifigure series two but other than that awesome set. I especially love the Madame Maxime Minifigure. She is one of my favorite characters."
"I really like the selection of Minifigures. It does a great job representing all of the houses. I love the Cho Chang Minifigure I wish we saw more of her in general. It was a quick build I bought it just because I am a collector. I do think it would be a great gift for any Harry Potter fan or a kid."
"This was a great build it was very challenging and kept me entertained for hours on end. The Minifigure selection was great I especially like the Lockhart and Luscious Malfow figures. Overall, I did feel the set was not as accurate as if like. The theme overall seems to be set in year two, however, Fred and George did not open the joke shop until year 6. Still an awesome set though. I also enjoyed the surprise box but I wish Harry was not part of the surprise. As a collector, the last thing I want is a set that features two Harry Minifigures."
