Recreate scenes from the classic Star Wars™ trilogy with this awesome building toy for kids, featuring a LEGO® brick-built version of Luke Skywalker’s iconic X-wing Fighter (75301). Includes Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and General Dodonna LEGO® minifigures, each with weapons including Luke’s lightsaber, plus an R2-D2 LEGO droid figure for roleplay adventures. The X-wing features an opening LEGO® minifigure cockpit, space for R2-D2, wings that can be switched to attack position at the touch of a button, retractable landing gear and 2 spring-loaded shooters. Fun to build and play with solo or as a group activity, this building toy makes a super birthday present, holiday gift or surprise treat for creative kids and any Star Wars™ fan aged 9 and up. This starfighter construction model measures over 3 in. (8 cm) high, 12.5 in. (31 cm) long and 11 in. (28 cm) wide, and looks awesome displayed in a child’s bedroom between playtime missions. Buying for a big Star Wars™ fan who is a LEGO® beginner? Don’t worry. This set comes with step-by-step, illustrated instructions so they can build with Jedi-like confidence. LEGO® Star Wars™ sets are fabulous for kids (and adult fans) to recreate scenes from the saga, dream up original stories or just build and proudly display the construction models. Excellent value but some poor design choices
" This was the first Star Wars Lego I bought for myself after previously being gifted the Resistance A Wing. The price point was a huge factor for me as it's great to see a good Star Wars kit that isn't £90+. I'm very pleased with the amount of pieces, building experience and end result for this price. The inclusion of Luke, R2, Leia and General Dordona is also nice.
It's a very interesting building experience, particularly the complicated arrangement of Technic pieces that "lock s-foils in attack position". There are a lot of stickers which I'm not a fan of, but they work to give it those distinctive markings.
My 6-year-old has recently gotten into Star Wars and was excited to help me build it. The Technic workings are a bit complicated but otherwise he was able to build whole sections himself, so I'd definitely recommend it for younger kids as long as they have supervision. He's also had a lot of fun playing with it and we're looking at a TIE to battle against next.
However, I feel the kit is spoilt by a couple of poor design choices. The main issue is the front landing gear is held on very loosely and falls off with the slightest touch, so I've built a replacement as it will otherwise certainly be lost. I wish they'd done the same retractable gears present on the A Wing. The long thing blasters on the wings also fall off very easily, but are at least big and easy to spot and replace.
Overall still a very nice kit and superb value for money. "

Satisfying build, great display piece
" This was my first foray into an advanced set for myself rather than my kids., and I'm very pleased with the results.
I decided to spread out the building over the course of a week, and I imagine you'd need to spend at least 3-5 hours to build all three. The building experience is satisfyingly challenging, but never too complex. However be warned that some parts are quite fragile, so I'd recommend against building it with young kids as parts are prone to fall to pieces.
The resulting models are really impressive, especially the T-Rex which absolutely towers over our previous "mighty dinosaurs" kit.
The set also opens up a lot of possibilties for creative building thanks to the huge variety of bone-like pieces included. At my son's request I've already used the pieces to make a dipolodocus skeleton, and am currently working on a skeletal dragon.
My only criticism is that I was a bit disappointed to find the models are built so that the feet and legs are integrated into the displays. I had thought they were dettachable, allowing for more freedom for playing. However, my sons and I still had a good time using them as the centrepiece for a Lego Natural History Museum!
The inclusion of the skeleton, paleontologist, and box of tools and items is also a nice touch for imaginative play. "

Very fun kit with great value for money
" I bought this for my 5-year-old son, who is totally mad for all things space at the moment.
We put it together in three small sessions across a couple of days, and he was able to do almost all of the building himself with very little help. He was very proud of being able to assemble it!
The end result is a great little set and really good value for money. The inclusion of a rover, geodes, two drones an two astronauts alongside the main shuttle means there is a lot of potential for imaginiative play.
The builds are also fairly sturdy, although we have had issues with the boosters falling off the shuttle during play and the bay hatch catching on closing. "

Satisfying build, great for some space adventures
" After buying another space set for my son (Mars research 60226) I decided to treat myself for a more advanced kit for myself.
All three builds are a lot of fun to put together and open up some great options for playing. I put it together myself while watching TV in the evening, but although the build time is long they should be fine for younger children to do with some help.
The big space rover build is the star of the show and has a lot of potential for imaginative play. It was also a great fit for my son's new space shutttle. All three builds are fairly sturdy so good for younger kids to play with. "
