What an amazing set. Lego really pulled out all the stops for this one, and clearly listened to fans, and it’s really paid off! An excellent set with excellent minifigures, excellent builds, and an excellent price.
Okay, but there’s something else going on. Lego is clearly not happy with how well this set is selling, as they have hidden it at the back of their website page for some reason. I assume this is because people are buying it too much and not buying the other Star Wars sets, but if Lego would make actually good Star Wars sets we would buy them too.
I hope we see more company and fan cooperation like this in future, because it has worked out excellently."
"Okay, so it’s a wee bit expensive, but man is this thing fun! A very fun but easy build, took a while but it was worth it. The minifigures are awesome, and the ship is surprisingly huge. The images don’t do it justice for just how large it actually is. It feels tough and rugged, like it should.
I think this is one of the best Star Wars sets Lego has released in a while, and it gives me hope for future sets of similar value, as their other recent ones have been mostly poor efforts or very, very overpriced."
"I remember seeing the leaks for this set and getting very excited about it, but the price of it is absolutely ridiculous. The minifigures aren’t even good, as the Obi-Wan minifigure is not even accurate to the scene this is from, the 212th Airborne trooper is a dime a dozen and no where near as special of a minifig to put in a set this expensive, and Grievous isn’t even the right colour.
Seriously, this is one of Lego’s worst Star Wars sets in a long time, and it’s so disappointing because the build is actually cool, and the ship is interesting, it’s the price and the value of the set that’s the problem. Lego, please, please learn from this huge mistake."
