"I bought this set for my 12 year old son, so he would have something to do while in lockdown because I could see he has been quite bored, and it was excellent. He was extremely happy with it. It has provided him hours of entertainment so far.
We usually share lego builds, taking turns to do a page each, not because he needs help but just because it's an activity that's fun to do together. But this time I left it all to my son. He had no trouble following the instructions or using the app. He built a droid per day for three days just to stretch it out a bit, starting with the Mouse Droid, then Gonk, then finally R2-D2. I thought R2-D2 looked like an especially good build. And even after building them all he still has more missions to do on the app.
He's had a really great time coding the droids to drive around the house and make lots of noises. I recommend stocking up on batteries.
It's an incredibly expensive set for what you get in the box. I suppose you're paying for the app as well, really. But I justified it by telling myself that I was paying for my son's entertainment and happiness, and to get him off youtube for a few days, and it has definitely paid off in that respects because he's spent plenty of time on it."
"I bought this set for my 12 year old son and we built it together. It's a sturdy, good-sized cyborg dragon. We especially liked the articulation and the integration of the shooting thing which works really well. We think the colour-scheme is excellent too, overall the dragon looks very good.
It comes with some really nice minifigures and my son really likes the hoverboards and accessories."
"My 12 year old son bought this set and we built it together.
The dragon is a very impressive size, we loved the build of the tail and the head especially, and the fabric wings. We thought the action feature of the ribcage opening up works very smoothly and easily and it adds a lot of play experience. We think that if the wings and shoulders had more movement it would have made the dragon a lot better, as it is the wings can barely move.
The side build is a little bit of landscape that feel like an enticement to buy more sets in the series to complete the game, but my son was happy enough with the pieces and accessories. He was disappointed that Nya didn't come with a stand. Overall however, he bought it for the dragon and he was happy with the dragon."
