"I don’t normally write reviews, however, feel I should to allow others to make an informed decision before parting with their cash!
As with everything, this set has good and bad points, unfortunately, this set has more bad points than good!
I’ll start with the bad points first: - The dinosaur balances very precariously on its two legs. If the legs are not set exactly right, it just falls over. When you do get it balanced perfectly, if anybody walks past it (or even breathes near it), it wobbles.... a lot. - If anybody does touch it or my son “plays” with it, it collapses. The way the legs are connected to the body (using technic pins) seems to be the weakest link. - When you then try to put it all together again the tail falls off (this is connected with ball joints) - The side edges of the gate are of a loose fit and can be very time consuming to get them to sit flush. Don’t get me wrong, it works however it’s gives the set a “cheap” feel to it. All the dinosaur issues appear to be weight related (I know that feeling) and I think the set would have benefited from fixed legs rather than movable.
The good points: - It’s a nice family build. - If you can get it balanced and ensure no one goes within 2 metres of it, it looks amazing as a display piece. - For a younger child there is some playability with the gate part of the set.
To summarise, if you can get it at a discounted price then go for it but if you can only get it at the full price then contemplate a different set such as Baracuda Bay"
