A life long dream come true!
" I thought the building experience was really fun! Unfortunately I don't have the new bluetooth motor system, but i have a lot of old power functions bits and after finding a way to put them in, it ran very well, although i did take the elastic bands off of the front and back axles, as it was getting stuck on corners. I've been wanting LEGO to make a model of a real train for years, and this has definitely delivered! My only issue would be that some of the brown pieces felt like they wee third party plastic; they didn't feel like they were up to normal LEGO standards. This issue hasn't stopped the set looking great and all the pieces went together extremely well! I would certainly like to see some more LEGO sets that actually are models of trains, as i think this would aspire to train enthusiasts! Also a set of an older locomotive means it has an educational factor! I have loved my trains my entire life, so when i first found out about this set, I ran around the house shouting with joy! I received it as a birthday present and built it with my father! The next day it was running round my oval of track! A beautiful set, and I would certainly love to see another model locomotive set like this from LEGO very soon! Maybe a British diesel locomotive, or an American steam train! Well done LEGO, a fine set! Hopefully the start of more model locomotive sets! "
