No, R2-D2? No rotating turret, No hidden Compart
" I have just finished this model 2 days ago, and it took me 25 hours 37 minutes to complete, basically watching the saga and half an episode of the mandalorian, and whilst it looks aesthetically accurate and pleasing from the outside, there are three major flaws surrounding this model. The first and most important is where on earth is "R2 D2"? has he gone to find his old master or been captured by the Sand People. Nope he was just forgotten or left out, the designer should be ashamed of himself, this character was pivotal throughout the entire sage. In the first few pages of the manual the designer goes through in detail, highlighting that this model is based on Empire and the force Awakens Episode VII. So where is he then? If fans remember he saved the falcon in Empire "The hyperdrive was deactivated by the city central computer" .The second issue with this set is the lack of rotating gun turrets below and above, in all the films where the Falcon was shown, the turrets were able to move 360 degrees. As an expert builder this operation would be easily integrated without any new elements required. The last problem is the unfinished hidden storage compartments instead they left a dip! no lego plate to cover it, just a dip..why? Once again the designers did a great job externally, but they simply didn't listen to the public or watched the films maybe. Still I had no missing pieces in fact I had some of the smaller elements left over that I added as battle or meteor scaring.
