"Important thing to note for those who don't know. This is the ONLY way to get the Lego Mario figure.
Stop leaving 1 star reviews just because the set you bought doesn't come with him despite it being explicitly stated on the box.
Now that I've gotten that out of the way, time to address the elephant in the room.
The Lego Mario figure alone makes the set worth the £50 price point, the way it figure reads the QR codes to make all kinds of noises and play music is outstanding and something that nobody could have seen coming before these sets were unveiled, Examples include him falling asleep when you lay him down long enough, getting dizzy after falling over/being shaken around too much even to the point of simulating damage by losing his mushroom power up. The list goes on. Although there are several who resent this little guy I am not one of them. This feels like a major step up from the more conventional figures and while I wouldn't want these things to replace minifigures, it would be welcome to see more electronic figures like lego Mario, especially in videogame based themes.
customers who have yet to buy this may ignore it entirely, thinking the set to be overpriced, and while I initially thought that too, don't let the price/piece ratio cloud your judgement; the interchangeable ways that the set can be reorganised open the door for several possibilities without even buying the other sets.
Overall this is an incredible set, despite what other reviewers may have stated this set can provide hours of fun for people of all ages, I ran the batteries out within a matter of days, regret nothing and look forward to expanding this set, especially with Bowser's castle.
(Also Lego Mario does not work as bluetooth speaker, believe me I tried)"
