Nostalgia Guaranteed!
" This set is incredible! My son (6) and I built it together and both of us had a great time. There’s lots of different build techniques involved. The scene did take a bit of time as we aligned everything neatly but it’s worth it!
The only downside is right at the end when you realise the stand doesn’t connect to the TV. It makes it realistic in terms of having a TV sat on a stand but I’d like to have it stuck together because I worry I’ll be the one to knock it off!
Building the Nintendo brought back a lot of memories for me and playing with Lego Mario on the TV set has made new ones for us both. The clicker behind the dial is genius! This set will 100% astound our friends and we’re so glad we have it.

Excellent build and play experience
" We love this set!
Not only was it a really fun build, but we have had so much fun playing with it on a course along with just some of the character packs.
From a build perspective we love the hidden colours inside Thwomp and it’s tricky enough to challenge my son with new techniques.
The play in it we find so entertaining, the drop and “ping” of the lava bubble has given us loads of giggles! We also found you need to push the arm back in to reach the top so you get 3 slides but it’s not a massive issue for us.
It’s a really great add on, and as we’ve said can be used by itself with the starter course and some character packs if you’re happy resetting Thwomp each time as we were to see the lava bubble propelled again and again!

Great playset with one modification!
" We have quite a few of the Super Mario sets and we love playing with them. So for us it was a no brainier to get the biggest set going, especially as it includes Bowser and Dry Bones (our faves).
We found all the characters, including Bowser, were sturdily built.
We used the PDF instructions because our app kept closing (a problem our end not with the app). We love the app though because there are things that are difficult to see on the pdf version, whilst with the app you can zoom and turn it around to get a better view.
The only problem we had was that the platform Bowser slides down on goes a bit too low when he gets to the end due to his weight, so his toes get stuck and he doesn’t actually fall over. That said we’ve been playing with putting some plates under or lowering the “piano keys” instead to see what works best for us.
It’s a fantastic set to play with though, especially if you’re a Mario fan. If you only had the starter course and bowsers castle you’d have a lot of play options.

Great microscale build
" This is a fantastic little build, especially if you have a lack of space for a full on winter village! It sits nicely by itself and doesn’t need much else. Although my son did use the spares to make an outside fire pit!
There are lots of lovely building techniques we took over to some MOCs as well.
For us the plaque didn’t have to have the sticker on it but the year is significant to us so that adds a nice touch.
We love it!

Stunning Builds!
" We bought these at the start of the UK lockdown for our dinosaur mad 5 year old and to please the archaeologist in me. Build time was estimated as he took an hour here and there over the last few months to put them together. The full set really is something to behold! He loves it! The addition of the minifigures is a nice little touch.
As a play experience, sure he can’t play with them afterwards but he really likes having them up in his room. Instructions are easy to follow although little hands came in quite handy when putting it together, I found some bits tricky to secure (my only use when it comes to building), but then he’s a better builder than I am anyway! Would absolutely recommend this set, even if you have a younger builder, as long as you are happy with them having the smaller pieces and you both have some patience!
