"Try something different. What if I can build this set in reverse (or mirror) way? That’s what I did. I challenged myself and finish in 3Days. Only the downside is I have to remember putting the Al’s and Pool signs in the rightway."

"While I am happy with the build and the look of the model from the front there is very clearly a trend from Lego to charge the same but give less in these sets. It started with the Parisien Cafe and is even more pronounced in this set. While the number of pieces may look as high as other sets, Lego are using more and more smaller stud count bricks. This means the models are in fact get smaller. For this model it means that the base plate area at the front of the model and the back of the model is left blank much more than any other model before. The actual depth of the build from front to back is much less than similar earlier modulars, making the insides of the rooms very cramped and limited. Also this model is only 3 floors tall across one side, the other side is only 2 floors tall, again less than before. It is quite obvious when you put this model alongside the earlier modulars that we are getting less than before which is disapointing. You can see from the image how shallow the model actually is."

"I have twin sons that 9 yrs old, I reignited my love of Lego’s when they were about 3 starting with Duplo and moving up from there. They are now both very creative builders and spend hours with Legos. We got them both a Creator set for Christmas (to help them build) and it was a blast, they both had one already. They now have all four of the available sets (cinema, restaurant, bank, detective’s office). I have enjoyed helping them build all four of them, watching them play with them, modifying them and then returning them all back to original. If you have a child that spends as much time as they can playing with legos and building some of the smaller sets on their own I would strongly recommend the purchase. Keep in mind that patience is key and that building is the fun for the parents, sorting and playing is the fun for the kids. Depending on the ability of your builder you will have to decide, but if they love to build and sort you can make a day, weekend or even week of it. Don’t try to hurry, always sort the pieces by steps before you start and then make sure you sort the pieces for each page as you go. It can be easy to get distracted and walk away only to find out 8 pages later you missed something…"

"My wife made a huge mistake at Christmas having coupled my love of Star Wars with my childhood hobby of building Lego and bought me teh Millennium Falcon 75105. This turned me back onto the Lego hobby and this was my first "real" Lego build in 16-20 years. Very intricate with lots of little hidden aspects. Overall a great build that took me a little over 6 hours to complete.
As this is more of a display piece for me, I didn't mind the smaller rooms and hard to reach place which would make play-ability very difficult. This one build led me to buy the next 4 modular buildings that I could get my hands on for retail prices.
I would really enjoy if Lego made a mansion/large house next and would release more than 1 of these per year!"
