Well worth the wait!
" I have just finished the build for the long-awaited Tantive IV Lego set, and after ten years of waiting, I was not disappointed. The Blockade Runner is the first ship we ever see in “Star Wars” and certainly an icon of the franchise and movie history, and this model is worthy of that.
This is a big model – two feet long – and with 1,768 pieces the Tantive IV is full of amazing detail. Many might be disappointed this was not a UCS, however, this playset has both play features for the younger crowd and the high-level of detail fitting a Lego model of its size and stature. For me, this was an eight-and-a-half-hour build (over three days) and quite enjoyable. Underneath is a very sturdy Technic frame that allows the model to be carried and the addition of a handle at the antennae enhances this.
On the Mini-fig side, the Tantive IV has the first ever version of Bail Organa and a new “dress” piece for Princess Leia completes the set perfectly. Finally, I could not resist adding a “Star Wars” poster to the cockpit, as the original shooting model had this little Eater Egg so I felt mine should have one too.
If you love “Star Wars” or the Blockade Runner, this is the set for you. "

Look Sir -- Droids!
" I have the Droid Escape Pod from 2016, and this Minifighter set is a great follow-on/homage to that. You get the escape pod itself, R2-D2 and C-3P0, plus a Sandtooper on a Dewback. Honestly, the Dewback is the highlight of this set, with articulated head and tail and is a fun build as well. The Sandtrooper has the Tatoonine sand all over him and I hope he doesn't find our two favourite intrepid droids.
Move along, move along. "

1979 Called -- And They Want Their Lego Set Back!
" What great little set. For those of us who made the original "Classic Space in 1979, this is a great homage/follow-up. The White, Yellow and pink Space-People are exact replicas of the 1979 ones, and this set sits right beside my 918 Space Transport. "

Yabba Dabba Doo!
" This is a good set. The build of the Flintmobile is first and fun, highly detailed. Even the “ribs” are included from the end credits. The house is a fun build too, and the detail is very well done – just like I remember from the TV Show. The TV is well done and I like the touch of the picture tube at the back. The interior even has the tiger-skin drapes and the mastodon painting.
There are some downsides, however. No Pebbles or Bam-Bam, and Dino is shown only on the TV. Also, the Flintmobile does not allow the occupants to put their feet through (through the courtesy of Fred’s two feet). Also, Barney is too tall and teen legs could easily have been substituted. Also, for trivia fans, Wilma’s maiden name is not Slaghoopal. Her Mother’s name was that, but she remarried. When Wilma meets an old flame in “Fred Flintstone Woos Again” he refers to her as “Wilma Pebble”.
Nit-picking, yes.
I still endorse the set and encourage all who love The Flintstones and LEGO to get this set. "

Begun the Clone Wars Has
" Just built the Anakin’s Jedi Starfighter 75214 and found this to be great. This is the Delta-7 version seen in the Clone Wars and the model is very good. The assembly is easy and fun and took me about two hours. I’m not a fan of stud-shooters but on this set they work. I really liked the clip for the Light Saber. There is great play value for the younger set and for us collector’s it’s a great addition. Also, the new Anakin Clone Wars figure that is more Lego Minifig standard is much better than the previous “cartoony” version from 2007.
Overall this set is good but I did have some issues. The holes at the bottom sides of the cockpit could have been eliminated and when you attach the wings there are gaps that detract from the look of the fighter. Also, unusual for Lego, a step is omitted in the instructions – where the technic bricks are added to attach the port wing. Nit-picking? – probably.
Yet, for $25 Canadian you can’t go wrong. There is great value here and this should be a must for your Lego Star Wars collection. It will look great next to my Obi-Wan Jedi Interceptor. "

Great Little Set
" Two Jawas (different printing), Tusken Raider, Astromech Droid (R3-T2) and a tracked vehicle with a crane. All for $17 Canadian? How can you go wrong?
This set is great for collectors (who doesn’t want a unique droid?) and for kids of all ages for the pay value. The Jawas can capture little R3 and maybe run into a rogue Tusken Raider. The tracked vehicle has a working crane to pick up an Astromech Droid and there is place at the back to store it.
Well-worth it – don’t think twice. "

Desert Skiff
" This is certainly the best Desert Skiff LEGO set yet. This works both as a play set for the younger crowd and a nice collector set for us vintage buyers. The railing is a nice touch and the extendable plank is great. I would have swapped out Boba Fett for Luke, however, as it was he who was in the plank -- not Han. The level of detail is great and certainly a must for collectors.
The Sarlac is a bit clunky, and unnecessary. The play features are clunky and it is not a pit but rather a hill. I would have liked to have see this deleted in favour of one or two more Minifigs.
Otherwise a great set. "

Collect and Play
" I bought this for the four Bounty Hunters in the set, most notably IG-88 and Bossk. However, with the addition of the armoured speeder, my youngest has amazing play value. The build is very simple and she had a good time putting it together. For the money this set is a great value. "

Poe's T-70 X-Wing
" My son and I just finished assembling my latest LEGO Star Wars, Poe Dameron’s X-Wing (75102). I also had the opportunity to compare it to my 2012 X-Wing (9493). The build was well done and compares favorably to the older X-Wing. The build of the front of the fuselage was virtually identical. Poe’s T-70 X-Wing is slightly longer and the wing (S Foil) mechanism is different and, to be honest, improved. The part count – even when taking into account the maintenance truck and ladder – is about 10% greater, but this is mostly in the wing assemblies which are larger.
I am not a fan of the spring-loaded missiles (unless integrated as on the U-Wing) and removed these, adding some “spare parts” to smooth out the structure.
I would recommend this model. It is for builders of moderate experience and took us about three hours to complete – but we were in no hurry. "

U-Wing
" I just got the U-Wing for Christmas. This is a great model and has a number of play features kids will love. Two opening doors, extendable side shoots, folding S-Foils and opening cockpit -- with a unique mechanism. For those who like shooters, the nose ones are buried and use an integrated trigger -- very cool. Also the build is solid and uses a chassis basis from technic that makes strong and a fun build. I think (apart from the Apollo Saturn V) this is the most well-designed Lego kit I've made. Its big though, and with the S-Foils extended takes up a large storage area. "
