Glad I Made This Set Mine-Craft
" My kids and I love Minecraft and my favorite mob is the chicken so buying this set was a no-brainer. The build was quick and easy and came together cleanly. There were no stickers and the set looks wonderful displayed on my desk. What's interesting is that some new bricks seem to have been developed to allow this model to be made to stand and to allow it to be made with SNOT (studs not on top). My only complaint is the green 1x2 bricks with the plus in the center (look at the pics of the upper arm) are unnecessary. Regular green 1x2 bricks could have been used to make the model look cleaner, but that is a minor complaint in an otherwise wonderful set. Enjoy and happy building! "

Wonderfully Crafted
" Sometimes I think that each new Expert Creator set is cleverly disguised as an excuse to experiment with new building techniques and designs. Regardless, this set comes out spectacularly. The instructions were clear and easy to follow and every part of the build went smoothly. Parts are bagged and separated by number (as is currently the standard) and thank goodness there are no stickers. Each part of the build has beautiful elements and details from the stove in the restaurant to the weight bench in the gym to the "egg carton" sound buffering walls in the recording studio. My favorite section though is probably the diner which almost looks like the famous painting Nighthawks by Edward Hopper. It really is a beautiful and fun set and a great addition to the Creator Expert line. Enjoy, and happy building! "

Message In a Bottle...
" First of all, I love this set. It is, in my opinion, one of the the best sets Lego Ideas has released. I'm a big fan of "display only" sets because, well, I'm a 40 year old man and I don't play with muh Lego sets, so it's nice to see something so beautiful to display that isn't an architecture set or something my kids are begging me to play with.
The instructions are clear and easy to follow and only took about 2 hours to assemble. There was a minor amount of what I call non-traditional building going on (for example, laying bricks in place without them being secure), of which I am not the biggest fan, but because the ship and bottle are not going to be picked up and jostled around I'm not worried about them falling out.
I know folks have complained about the bottle design being flimsy, but mine wasn't. Maybe I'm just a better builder, but it held together quite well. I also read complaints about using smaller clear panels which supposedly obscured sight of the ship within. Well, the smaller panels were necessary to accommodate the ship sails which are built as such to fit into the tight dimensions of the bottle. There's a reason for why everything was designed the way it was and nobody, ever, anywhere is going to fail to recognize that the set is clearly a ship in a bottle.
Overall, this is a beautiful set and a wonderful conversation piece. You will not be disappointed.

Submersible!
" I'm a little selective when it comes to purchasing sets for myself. Usually I pick them because I am a fan of the series or because I think they'll make a great display piece. The Deep Sea Submarine falls into the latter category. I saw it in the store and thought that it was a beautiful set that would look good on my shelf, and it truly does. The build went quickly, and all parts were bagged by step, instructions were clear and everything came together nicely. My one main complaint (as usual) is about the stickers, but I do have another, smaller one I'll share later. The first step is to assemble the sunken treasure chest/bone cage display. I wasn't too thrilled by this part. It's adequate, but it's just kind of generic, especially when compared to the sub itself. The addition of two divers and a shark was nice and offers quite a few options for play. The sub, though, is the shiny jewel of the set and the second and third steps detail its construction. Almost everything about the sub looks amazing. I'm not a connoisseur of submarines and have a rudimentary knowledge of what they are supposed to look like and this model nails it. I would have like to have seen a topside hatch to allow access to the cockpit rather than the dome being the opening but I didn't hold that against the set. Another thing I didn't hold against the set was the small flaw I mentioned earlier. Everything looks streamlined and orderly until you get to the rear fins. There are two open spots near the fins where two 1x1 flat yellow plates could have been added to smooth over the design. After rooting through some extra parts of my own, I added them to complete the illusion. Other than that, the parts come together easily and the model itself is quite solid. That it cannot float does not bother me because I never had any intentions of floating or submerging it. I love this set and so does my son, who tried to appropriate it for himself. It really is a unique piece and has opportunity for play or display. Enjoy, and happy building! "

Who you gonna call? Hulkbuster!
" (Sorry about the cheesy title. I couldn't resist.)
My son received this set for his birthday and I must admit that I was a little jealous. The mini figures are absolutely stunning. Each of them is highly detailed and looks amazing. We haven't seen the Age of Ultron yet but we encountered the Hulkbuster suit in the Lego Marvel Superheroes video game and it does not disappoint. The build is clear and detailed and the instructions are easy to follow. Parts are bagged and separated by number, like most sets these days. There were a couple stickers but they were easy to place and they were on the Hulk cage, which was okay. It wasn't out favorite piece, but it served its purpose. The Hulkbuster itself is the highlight of the set and came together easily, but looks amazing. Iron Man fits right in with no hassle and really I just can't say how beautiful it looks. Its posable and stands well on its own. The one thing we both didn't care for was the super jumper piece. I've hated that thing ever since it was introduced, although I don't remember it ever being such a pain to remove. After failing to send Iron Man flying, we tried to remove him and it felt like he had been glued in. After some vigorous prying, I was able to remove him and told my son not to put him back in. Another reviewer mentioned that it had marred the feet of his Iron Man and, while that didn't happen to ours, I can totally believe it after the removal process. All in all, with the exception of the super jumper, this is an excellent set and well worth the price tag. Enjoy, and happy building! "

Ready for Blast-off!
" My eight year old son bought this set with some money he received for his birthday. It's not his usual fare when it comes to Legos (he prefers the superhero sets), but I did't talk him out of it, and I'm glad I didn't. The set is very simple but looks amazing. He assembled it himself in about an hour and only asked for my help in placing the few stickers, which is the only thing I didn't like about the set. I hate stickers. Those aside, I have nothing but good things to say about it. I asked my son what he liked best and he said, "the rocket boosters on the back and the astronauts. I really don't not like anything about it." So, there you go. A beautiful set, reasonably priced, and a beautiful addition to his collection. Enjoy, and happy building! "

Avenger's Tower
" My 8 year old son received this set for his birthday and after building it, he played with it all day. We haven't seen the Age of Ultron movie yet, but he loves his superheroes and this set is a great addition to his collection. First the technical stuff... Instructions were clear and assembly went pretty easily. We took turns since there were four main stages of building, and of course, parts were separated and bagged based on the stages. The only negative I have for the main build is that there were quite a few stickers (we hate stickers). Placement was relatively easy if you're looking for a silver lining to that cloud. I did dock the play experience one star because play was a little cramped inside the tower. The rooms are a good size and come with nice, neat little bits, like the stretcher and syringes, etc, but quite a few times while placing or removing a mini figure, things got knocked out of place. Other than the little bit of cramped space, this is a wonderful set and looks great when its fully assembled. My son wanted me to let people know that his favorite part is the upper floor and how the deck can be knocked apart. Enjoy, and happy building! "

Beautiful Build!
" My 5 year old daughter received this set for her birthday and she was very pleased with it. Assembly took about an hour and everything came together very easily. Parts were separated and bagged according to steps and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. I dinged the set one brick for two reasons; one, the base, as other reviewers have stated, was not very sturdy and although I did not have as much trouble as they seemed to have, the first thing my daughter did was but it on a larger base. And the second reason I dinged it was because of all of the stickers. I absolutely hate stickers and this set had two sheets. They were relatively easy for me to place, if you want a bright side for the stickers. Those two points aside, my daughter loves the set. It is very beautiful to look at and has lots of little bits for play. The bottom floor is kind of useless because half of it is obstructed by the staircase, but there are lots of other areas to play in. Enjoy, and happy building! "

Where's the Prince?
" I have a few small gripes about this set, but overall, it is a nice set and my five year old daughter, who received this for her birthday, loves it. The build was easy and come together and stayed together nicely, except for one small part (see below). The instructions were detailed and clear and parts were bagged and separated. My first complaint was, where's the prince? The Little Mermaid set has two characters, similar piece count, and is the same price. I suppose that in this set, the horse took the place of the prince, which is kind of a bummer. It would have been nice to have two figures to ride in the carriage, a la the happy ending. One could argue that the prince never rode in the carriage, seeing as how this is the pumpkin carriage, but lego sets are not known for their adherence to the story (just look at the Jurassic World sets). That aside, which I didn't hold against the set, there was one flaw that I did. The blue, curved panels (with painted swirls) on the sides of the carriage do not stay in place very well. Both during building and during play, at least one of them fell off any time the carriage was handled, which became irksome, but other than that, the set is very nice and has provided my daughter with hours of enjoyment. "

Kiss the Girl (Whoa-oh!)
" My five year old daughter received this set for her birthday and I helped her assemble it. Assembly took about an hour, everything came together nicely, and instructions were clear. The final result is very nice, with all sorts of little bits, like the heart bricks, the food, and the treasure chest, that my daughter loved. She's not a huge fan of the Little Mermaid franchise but she did love this set. If I had to list any negatives, it would be the stickers, but there were only three, and they were easy to place. Overall, a very nice set that has given my daughter hours of enjoyment. "
