"This is one of my favorite Monster Fighters sets! The Zombie minifigures are beautiful and the set also includes my favorite Monster Fighter. The vehicle is pretty spectacular and the spinning hammers on the wheels are a nice touch. Great for smacking some zombies! The graves are cool as well, opening when you turn the stone to reveal the two male zombies. The only con that I can find is that the graves don't close completely when the Zombies are inside (I don't know if this is my fault or a flaw in the design, but I'm not holding it against the set). Otherwise, well worth the money, easily assembled, and great for play. Enjoy!"
"In less than ten minutes, I put together a small but very detailed set that includes a small piece of swamp with a fish and a frog, plus the swamp stone, a Creature minifigure (which is pretty darn awesome), a monster fighter minifigure and a skiff (airboat) with two flick missiles. All in all it is well worth the money and a nice addition to the series. In fact, I don't see any cons to this set and hope to collect the rest of the series some day."
"This is a very impressive set and my first purchase in the Monster Fighters series. Before I really get into it, I have to say that I HATE stickers, and this set has a dozen or so, all glow-in-the-dark. Stickers aside, there is a TON of great things to like; details like the trapdoor above the spikes, the bookshelf, the spiral staircase, and the minifigures. The minifigures are especially great because the vampyres have glow-in-the-dark two-faced heads, and both monster fighters have either a robotic arm or leg, which is a really nice touch. The vehicle, the net-launching car, is the first part to build and was very easy to build and impressive. The rest of the castle was not too difficult to assemble either and castle and car came together in about 3 hours total. The only con is, in my opinion, the stickers. I've not had good luck with them in the past, but when I shone a flashlight on them and turned out the lights, I kind of saw past that."
"This was my first LEGO architecture purchase and I am very pleased with it. While it is not to scale for minifigure play, it is a wonderful scale for display. There are a lot of small pieces and it does lack some detail because of the small pieces and scale, but they all came together beautifully. I also like the fact that the "Farnsworth House" brick is a printed brick and not a sticker. The price was a little expensive (like most LEGO sets), but still a good set overall."
"This is by far the biggest LEGO set I have ever purchased. It took 12 hours to assemble and weighs a lot. The construction was mildly advanced and was easy to follow in the assembly instructions. There aren't as many stickers as I feared (which I hate), and the elements fit smoothly together and levers and lifts function well. Technical details aside, this is probably the best set I own, and that's saying a lot (I own over 125 sets). It allows you to recreate scenes from Episodes IV and VI, has a large assortment of figures and droids, and has an attention to detail unmatched in other sets. The detention center is probably my favorite part of the set simply because of the detail. It is constructed in such a way that it forces the perspective and makes it look as though the hallway is getting smaller and that the cells run deeper than it was possible to build the model, plus a hatch lets the figures drop into the garbage smasher. Perfect. Little things like that make this set worth every penny, which are quite a few. The cost is high, but I don't regret paying it. If there are any drawbacks, it's that the model could not be of course made to scale, but for its size a lot of major elements to the Death Star are represented and it came out very well."
"First of all, I own Queen Anne's Revenge and another LEGO ship from when I was a child, Black Sea Barracuda. In my opinion, this is the weakest of the three. It is very plain, comes with only 2 cannons and when set up next to the QAR and BSB, it really lacks the detail the others have. If it weren't for the POTC minifigures, it could be any other ship. And speaking of minifigures, I feel that it was a poor decision to include Davy Jones and his crew when it should have included the cursed skeleton crew from the first movie, like Regetti and Pintel. If LEGO ever decides to make the Flying Dutchman, there will be repeat minifigures. Instructions were clear and was assembled quickly, but I was disappointed overall. Recommend to POTC fans only."
"This was a nice seasonal set. The price was right and was very easy to assemble. For being 2D models, they're not too bad, although I like the bat best of all. The ghost is good, but the pumpkin leaves something to be desired. More of a decorative piece than something for the kids to play with, but adequately priced for what it is."
"I have all three winter shop sets and this set was the best to build and looks the best, not that the other sets are in any way bad sets. The details are immaculate and you find something new every time you look at it. Also, I had no trouble during the build, which is always a plus."
"This set is a great addition to the other winter sets, the Toy Shop and the Post Office. Overall, it is a beautiful set but one minor aspect seemed kind of weird. There is a bin behind the oven for the bread (which is a neat addition to food props), but the location makes it inaccessible and practically hidden from sight. Not a huge problem, but just a poor choice of location, I guess."
"I really enjoyed the construction of this set, which took about 4 hours or so. The details are wonderful and when combined with other winter sets, like the Bakery and Toy Shop, it makes a wonderful city scene."
