Watch out for the turbo lasers!!!
" A nice little set from the TFA movie with a nice selection of mini figures. I have to say it was a very easy build and I didn't really feel challenged but, hey, it's a battle pack not a starship. One thing I have to make an observation on though, the stormtroopers in this set have two different torso prints. I purchased the First Order Transport recently and both the stormtroopers in this set have the same torso print, perhaps LEGO might like to vary the prints to represent differences between stormtrooper kit and equipment.
Apart from that I like the set.

Has anyone seen the pilot???
" Ok, first off this is a great set. I thoroughly enjoyed the build which had some great design features, hats off once again to the LEGO design team for putting this together. The number of mini figures included really make this a very playable set, almost a battle pack on a grand scale, this in turn makes the price understandable. From the build point of view I did take my time over this, I was enjoying putting it together so much I made it last but I guess I could have done it quicker. Love the little touch of adding wheels but I was a bit confused as to why when this is a transport ship but if that's what they want then who am I to argue.
My two gripes with this set are:
1. The roof of the troop compartment comes off a little too easy, yes I know it makes for better access in there but it could have been fixed in place somehow to give the whole thing a little more "WHOOSH"ability without it flying off by it's self.
2. And this is the biggie as far as I'm concerned! WHERE IS THE PILOT? C'mon LEGO, it needs a pilot, just one First Order Tie Fighter pilot to fly the thing from the box on the top. I would have settled for one less Storm Trooper for the sake of a pilot.
Enough about that though, like I said it's a great kit and very true to the on screen version and a great addition to my collection. It's now sat in the display case next to the First Order Tie Fighter.

Rebel alliance speeder.
" This is a nice set for the money with some exclusive mini figures included to add to the appeal of the set. Fairly easy build and a good degree of playability. Definitely worth the relatively low price tag if only for the mini figures. "

Galactic Empire battle pack.
" Purchased this at the weekend mainly for the mini figures to build my collection of stormtroopers but this set is well worth the money. It's an easy build an as I mentioned already there are a good set of mini figures included. A good set in a good price range, well done LEGO. "

She's got it where it counts kid!
" I have to say this is one of the best LGO Star Wars sets I have had the pleasure to build/own. It was a challenging build but didn't stretch me too much and the end result was well worth it. I have a sneeking suspicion that the original design 7965 isn't a big departure from the current design but I'm sure LEGO have made some great additional details.
The mini figures are great but the Kanji Klub members I'm not sure about. The older version of Han Solo is great but Chewy never seems to age.
Overall I'm impressed by this set.

Let's see what this bucket of bolts can do?
" I'd have to say that this is one of the best sets I've built so far. It was a challenging build but when I'd finished I was happily satisfied with the results.
It's a handsome LEGO model and well worth the cost for such an iconic StarWars starship. The number of minifigures is just right, there are few stickers which is nice and the finished article looks the business. The wings are fairly sturdy which gives it a good degree of playability and physically it's a very good LEGO effort for the shuttle.
On the down side it's got those spring loaded shooter but maybe that's just my issue, some may like them, I'm not a fan.
I've got the new Falcon to build next, I'm sure that will challenge me a little more than this but glad I bought this set still.
Well done with this set LEGO, looking forwards to the next set.

Rey's Speeder
" Got this to add to my Star Wars TFA collection, first impressions were a little apprehensive about the kit but once I opened the box and began building I was suitably impressed. Nicely designed and put together I think but, and I think its been mentioned before, not much storage space in the speeder for all the other bits that come with Rey and the bike. That said it's still a good kit with playability if that's what you buy if for.
Minifigures are a bit short on this kit, I would have liked one more at least but the two that are included are well detailed and quite unique.
The stud blasters are a nice touch and a welcome departure from the spring loaded shooters that are plaguing this series at the moment. Lastly, at the early stages of the build I was wondering what was going on with the weird bat shaped piece on the axle? When it finally dawned what it was for I just thought "Genius", whoever came up with the design for this kit is certainly talented.
All in all not a bad effort, keep up the good work and I look forward to what Episode VIII might bring, if we get that far.

First Order Tie Fighter
" I spotted this while out shopping and as I already owned the standard Tie fighter I decided to get this one to see how it compared and also add a STAR WARS The Force awakens kit to my collection. I have to admit I wasn't disappointed with the kit at all.
The wing build is almost identical to the original Tie fighter with the only real difference being the colours and the way that they attached to the wing roots. The main body of the ship is a lot bigger than the original but I guess this is to be expected for a two seater. The colour scheme is in keeping with the fact that this is a First Order fighter and I love the cockpit design with the red screens. The spring loaded shooters mounted under the cockpit are good for playability I suppose but I can't say I'm a real fan of this in the newer batch of LEGO Star Wars sets.
The minifigures are well designed and detailed, clearly based on new character in the forthcoming film: 2 First Order pilots (as you would expect in a two seat fighter), 1 First Order officer and 1 First Order crewman. All in all not bad for this set.
The build took me about an hour and a half and was fairly easy. As far as width, height and depth go it's identical to the original Tie Fighter set so they stand very nicely together. There are a number of stickers which I sometimes think is a bit of a cop out, the two on the external wing root centres are ok but the red ones to add more red colouring to the main body are a bit of a waste. Luckily LEGO have kept the stickers to a minimum on this set.
Overall I was very pleased with this First Order Tie Fighter set, lets just hope it makes an appearance in the new movie.
The Millennium Falcon is next on my shopping list! "
