Iconic and Fun
" I was very excited when i saw this set was coming out as i already had the promotional miniature London Bus and i thought that this would look really cool with that along with the Big Ben set, so i bought almost as soon as it came out.
The build itself took me 2 days but i purposely took my time so it was roughly 5 hours of actual building time, it wasn't overly difficult but it was a very enjoyable build, very fun with lots of bright colours used (obviously mainly red), there are some cool printed pieces like a newspaper, can of drink and the tickets, you also get some awesome stickers which include the names of the places where the bus will stop such as 'Brickston' and 'Brickadilly Circus' and also the number 9...another really cool thing about this set is you can either have it with a retro look or a modern day look, you can change this by swapping the number plates and the advertisement signs (all of which are stickers) which is also good because you use all of them but you can just swap them over rather then having some stickers left unused. You also get an umbrella and a new exclusive 1x2 red brick which helps with the side wards building, and one final thing which i thought was a nice touch is you get a little pink stud which goes under one of the seats which represents gum!
You can take the roof off and the top deck very easily and it all feels very sturdy when doing so, so you don't need to worry too much about moving it around. It doesn't a great deal of play ability apart from moving it back and forward and being able to take it apart into 3 sections, but it is still a really good set and definitely worth buying, especially if you have other London themed sets.
I would give this set 5/5 because its very fun, looks amazing on display, its very iconic and its a really well designed and built set, so I strongly recommend it. "

Pleasantly Surprised
" I had been aware of this set for quite a while and was never really too fussed about getting it as I thought it was quite pricey for a box of white bricks, and there were other sets at the time which I wanted.
However I did some research into it and I saw that you get so many different types of bricks in this set which are mainly all white with some transparent bricks aswell.
You also get a lovely book which at first I thought it gave you some ideas and examples of things which you can build, and that's true to an extent where it gives you little work shop building exercises throughout, however the main bulk of the book is almost like an architects course you would get if you were attending college, it gives you so much information on how Architecture works, the techniques used and all the different stages when buildings are designed and built, something else which is really nice is that it has real Architecture companies which have got involved in the writing of this book, and when I say book I mean book, this isn't just your usual instructions manual you usually get with Lego sets, this is the sort of book which is so nice it could easily be sold In a bookshop and make a nice present for someone.
As for the set itself I was pleasantly surprised, you get some sorting trays to separate all your bricks and keep them in order which I think is a nice touch.
If you're someone who wants to follow instructions and build something specific then this probably isn't for you, however if you are looking to be creative and really use your imagination to build something unique then this is a brilliant set, I bought this because I wanted to start making my own builds and this is perfect for that, I think if you are the creative type then this will be great fun for you, it's nice to have all the bricks in white aswell so you can focus on the actual design and shape without colour getting in the way. I also think it's good value for money because it's the sort of set which is never really finished, you can do whatever you like with it.
So I would definitely recommend this to people who want to use their imagination and creativity as this has all you need to do that, you also get a lovely book with this set which is a great thing to have for Lego and architecture fans. "

This could be my favorite set ever!
" When this set first come out I wasn't sure whether to buy it or not because of how expensive it was and there was other sets at the time which I had my eyes on, however I eventually saved up the money and bought it (with encouragement from my girlfriend).
I don't think I've ever been more pleasantly surprised about a set, the build was quite long but it was so much fun! Even to the point where once I had finished I wanted to start it all again, my favorite part of the build was definitely the bottom part of the castle as it is such a large area and I found it really fun building all the supports for the rest of the castle and there's so much detail in the flooring, there is also so many references to classic Disney films and that continues throughout the castle!
As for those references, you have Aladdin and princess and the frog (outside of the castle), Brave, Beauty and the Beast, Sleeping Beauty, Fantasia, Cinderella, Little mermaid, Snow White and you also get fireworks which I think are a really cool little addition, although my favorite part is the printed clock at the front of the castle which is exclusive to this set, and there is also a secret compartment which has 2 more surprises, a printed book and a case with the glass slipper.
It is built in 3 large sections which you just put on top of one another (the highest section you have to be quite careful with because it can get a little wobbly right at the top).
There is nothing in this set which feels repetitive, every room you build is different and it is such a fun building process, if you want to take the castle apart the two main builds come apart pretty easily and the third part is a little more fiddly so be careful when doing that (I would recommend taking apart when moving the castle as it is so big!)
The minifigs are amazing, Micky and Minnie Mouse have really nice printing on them aswell as Donald and daisy, and probably the best minifig is tinker bell, I believe all these are exclusive to this set as they are different to the ones you got in the little bags which were sold individually.
All in all I would give this set a massive 5/5 as it is easily the most enjoyable build I've ever had and the final product is unbelievable with so much detail, this would be an amazing Christmas or birthday present for a child (even though it's expensive it's definitely worth the money).
I would easily recommend this set to anyone because it is a fantastic addition to anyone's Lego or Disney collection.

Interesting, Fun, Iconic and Colourful Set
" This is a perfect set not just for Beatles fans but for anyone who loves their music, the yellow submarine is iconic and I think the fan who designed this set and Lego have done a brilliant job in creating this model.
The build took about 3 hours and is pretty straight forward, but it is a very enjoyable build at the same time, it's very colourful and there are more colours used which you don't see in the finished model, it's mainly built using yellow, amber and white pieces, however there are no stickers and every awesome bit of detail you see are all printed! This was one of the major factors in me getting this set because you get some really amazing printed pieces which I think not just Beatles fans would love but just Lego fans aswell, this set doesn't have any real playable features but it is meant to be a display model and looks really nice on a desk or maybe on a cd/vinyl cabinet :)
The minifigs are fantastic and the detail is excellent and another reason I would highly recommend this set because they would be a great addition to anyone's minifigs collection! You also get a small buildable stand to display John, Paul, George and Ringo! You also get a figure of Jeremy which is a really nice inclusion :)
All in all I would rate this 5/5 because I think it's good value for money, you get awesome printed bricks and the minifigs are fantastic! It is also a very nice display model :) "

Excellent for display
" I had my eye on the Lego Mini Cooper for a while and was fortunate enough to receive it as a present, I was very excited to build it and display it as I've always liked classic mini coopers so it's cool to be able to build a Lego version.
It took me about 3 hours to build and it was an enjoyable experience with some interesting building techniques, I thought the dark green bricks captured the look of the Mini Cooper perfectly and I loved the build for the seating in different shades of light brown which really gives it that retro look, the printed lines finish off the model well and gives it a very classy look. You also get a few stickers which include the Mini Cooper Logo, something else which is really cool is that you can choose what number plate sticker you want to use! You can remove the roof and access the inside, there isn't really any playability to the set but this is meant to be a display model and would look great on a desk or corner shelf.
Another thing which I'm a huge fan of is the picnic theme, you get a red and white picnic blanket, a buildable basket, bread, cheese and a glass of water. This is a really nice touch to finish this set off.
I can't really think of any bad points about this set as it's a very solid and classy looking model of the Mini Cooper.
Highly recommended!! "

Huge step for Lego
" When I first read that this set was coming out and after I had seen the pictures of this fantastic ideas set I knew I had to have it! Luckily we had already planned to go to Legoland the week it was released and I was fortunate enough to get one.
First of all the box art is stunning! As a huge fan of anything to do with space, NASA etc. I really loved the detail and effort which had gone into the box and I think it really stands out on the shelf!
As for the build I wanted to make sure I took my time to really take it all in and enjoy the building process of this incredible model, so I spread it out over the course of 3 days, probably about 7-8 hours of building time.
The build is split into different sections and you basically build up and up and up! What surprised me was just how much goes into building the interior which you don't get to see, so the build is pretty intricate but enjoyable and very interesting at the same time. Each section is very solid, so you don't need to worry too much when holding or moving it, but obviously as you keep adding each section on you do need to be more careful because this is such a tall model, another thing to mention is there are NO stickers in this set, everything is printed which I love because you get such unique and cool printed pieces which any Lego fan would love.
Even though I had seen the information on how big this set was, it wasn't until it was complete when it really blew my mind as to how MASSIVE this is, I also own the tower of orthanc and was kind of expecting it to be roughly the same size...nope this is even taller than that! Luckily you get to build 3 little supports for the model which allows you to display it and keep it steady.
Finally you get 2 smaller builds to go with it, the first one which is my favourite part of this whole set is s build of the actual moon landing where you get a tiny US flag and 4 astronaut micro (nano) figs which are the same as the ones you get in the Helicarrier, This little build even looks good as it's own tiny display model. The second build represents the landing back on earth with the inflatable in the water which is also a nice touch.
One last thing I'd like to mention is how cool the instruction manual is, it's designed like a NASA blueprint and it comes with info about the original fan designer, the Lego design team and the actual mission itself and gives you the different stages of the mission which the Saturn V took, again the manual itself is something which Lego fans would really love to have as it's so cool.
I would give this set a huge 5/5 and would recommend this to every Lego fan as it's absolutely amazing, easily one of my favourite Lego sets ever!
You won't be disappointed! :) "

POW!! POW!!
" Wow, where to start? As a huge fan of the classic tv series this is something I didn't think I would see as a Lego set, when I first heard it was being released I was both excited and intrigued as to how it would look as a Lego set, when I first saw images of it i thought it looked awesome and loved the amount of minifigs you get and the old bat mobile is unbelievably cool! When I saw it first built on display in the Lego shop however it looked even more impressive! So it was an easy decision for me to buy this set.
As for the build itself, it was very enjoyable, it took quite a while to finish (7 hours approx), as you can see from the images the main part of the set is in 3 different parts and you can move them about and have them in which ever order you like which is nice, the main tall part of Wayne manor was really fun to build and looks really cool with the 2 poles down into the bat cave, I also love the detail on the outside of the building (although a shame you can't always see it depending on how you display it). Wayne's study is also fantastic with the attention to detail, I love the wallpaper (printed bricks) like from the tv show, the telephone and the Shakespeare statue are both really nice features.
Another really enjoyable part for me was all the mini builds like the lie detector and the table with test tubes etc...The bat mobile was probably the best part of the whole set in my opinion as it was just a really fun build, looks awesome, and a great addition to my Lego bat mobile collection.
As for the minifigs, you get 9 all together and they are all fantastic! My 2 favourites are The Riddler and The Joker, it's so cool to get these versions of these iconic villains as minifigs and the printing on them is awesome! But as I said all the minifigs you get with this set are really cool, it's nice to get Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson aswell as Alfred of course.
This set is great because it has both playability and looks fantastic on display, and as I said you get some really nice minifigs.
I will give this set a 10/10 because it's a really cool, fun and unique set as there aren't any others from the classic tv series, I don't think there's one thing I dislike about this set, so I would definitely recommend this set, especially to fans of the classic tv series :)
Well done Lego! "

Excellent Little Set!
" As a huge Marvel fan not only was I excited about the Doctor Strange film, but when I saw that Lego we're releasing a set with it I knew I had to get it.
The build was really good fun, didn't take too long, but there's some really cool parts you get with it, some of the printed maps and books were really nice, however you do get a lot of stickers with it (which isn't a big deal as the price for this is so reasonable).
The minifigs you get with this set are awesome! All three of them are fantastic to look at and the printing is beautiful, especially for doctor strange himself, they are great additions to my huge minifig collection!
There are some cool little play features with this set aswell with the levitating cloak and you are able to levitate two minifigs aswell, you are also able to rotate the tentacles of the monster aswell which has a really cool effect!
I will rate this set a 9/10 as it is such great value for money, you get 3 awesome minifigs, lots of cool pieces and there's so much crammed into this set it makes it really cool to use as a display piece aswell as the playability! I would definitely recommend this set. :) "

Good Set...Maybe Not UCS
" When I was considering buying this set I saw that it had received mixed views, and as a collector of UCS sets I had to really think long and hard as to whether I should buy it or not, especially with the price as I only spend this sort of money on sets which I'm sure I'm going to keep out on display, however I finally decided to buy it as I always loved the Hoth scenes in the movies!
When I first got it I was surprised by the size of the box, it's pretty huge and there were so many numbered bags I can't even remember! (The instruction Manuel as with all the UCS sets is very nice) the build all together took me fair amount of time as there are so many different parts to this set.
The build itself was pretty enjoyable and not the most challenging I've ever done, but still fun, I built this set by myself but I imagine if you were to buy it for your kids for Christmas/birthday etc. it's probably a good set to build together as there's lots of different parts to it.
For me this set has some parts which I really like and some which I'm not so keen on, I think the main sliding door is pretty cool, I love the Snowspeeder (I'm a huge fan of these in general anyway), the main control area is also nicely done and you get lots of minifigs, some really cool ones, the K3-PO and R3-A2 are awesome, and the Wampa is also really cool to add to any Lego Star Wars collection.
The things which I'm not too keen on is the fact that it does look a little incomplete and it's all abit jumbled together, there's a little watch tower which extends from the roof of the sliding door area which looks a little odd and I don't remember from that scene, and allthough I think the Wampa cave is quite a nice little build, I'm not to keen on how it's just kind of attached on the end of the set.
As a big collector of UCS sets I don't think I would consider it a UCS set, but that doesn't mean it's bad, it's a huge set with lots of cool play features and some really cool minifigs, like I said i think it would make an awesome Christmas/birthday present and is better as a play set than a display set. If you already have other Hoth sets then I wouldn't recommend this as it has got parts which have been included in other sets before, but if you don't have any and are looking to recreate this awesome and classic scene then I think this would be a really good buy!
I would rate this set 6/10 as I has good parts and not do great parts, but all together a good play set. "

Beautiful Set!
" As a collector of Star Wars UCS sets, I was very excited when I first heard this set was being released, it wasn't until I went to the Lego shop and saw it built on display that I realised how impressive this set was! So for me this set was a no brainer...I had to get it!
The build was very enjoyable, not the most challenging but there was definitely some interesting building techniques involved, as this is such an unique ship some of the different angles used to make this are perfectly done.
The colours which were used makes this such a beautiful set and looks amazing on a shelf or in a display cabinet.
The minifig you get is what really makes this set stand out, Boba-Fett is my favourite character and the fact we now have an arm printed minifig is awesome! Some of the detail is absolutely beautiful and a great minifig for any Star Wars fan to have!
I would easily rate this set 10/10 and would highly recommend to anyone who is thinking of buying it :)
Well done Lego! "
