"This is not a set for children, unless they admire architecture. Even still the Hancock Tower isn't the most exiting building either.
The building experience is pretty much stacking bricks, nothing too complex or stimulating in this build.
Piece count is pretty ridiculous at 29 cents a piece. Seriously practically this whole set could be bought from pick a brick for less (a recommendation to consider). This set would be fine at ten, but twenty is a flat out joke (no ones laughing).
This is for people who like architecture more than people who like Legos. If you've been craving a model of the Hancock Tower (idk why) this is the set for you."
"This set is an amazing way to enhance your building abilities. For many of us building sideways can be difficult or is a skill less practiced, here is the chance to either newly learn or gain multiple techniques that one has not tried before.
The minifigure is a fresh blast to the past of classic Lego.
The parts are many we've seen before and a few rare ones, but its the guidance given that really makes this set.
If you love Lego creator then you'll love this set. Multiple possibilities from a few parts, but with advice strait from Lego.
"For those of you buying this set for the minifigure and not as a keychain beware. There is a awesome set for the same price that comes with a multitude of weapons and accessories. Go back to Ninjango products page and check it out.
For those who want this actually as a key chain you're getting a quality Lego ninja for a high price. If you can live with paying five dollars for it, then enjoy!
"Like all key chains Lego charges an arm and a leg for them unless they are on sale. If you are willing to pay the prices for new figures through key chains go for it, but waiting for it to go on sale is the best.
The figure itself is really cool. Get it if you don't want to buy the $20 set, but enjoy the figure. Key chains work better for figures that only come in the huge sets like Aura Sing or Bolba Fett. Here, the $20 barracuda set is cool and not to far off price wise, consider this as a more price wise option.
If you are of the minority and actually want this for a key chain go for it.
"You can't go wrong with four figures for ten dollars.
The two cops are your standard cops and are very nice compliments to a city collection. If you have Star Wars or alien sets invade your city these guys work well with them. The police can asset the good guys and visa-versa with the robbers. The dog is really cool and kinda hard to find elsewhere. Nice little addition to story-lines or city appearance.
The bank is nice. Get what you see with it. The car is nice dosn't look the greatest but gets the job done. The bills, crowbar and the back sack are the cool accessories that are very useful in play.
Pros, Four figures for ten. Dog Car and bank.
Cons, Not the most exciting set and is really for complementing other sets.
"First off, the Mummy with wings is awesome and the main reason for getting this set. The two other mummies are stelar too. Why only three stars then? There is only three figures for the cost of four.
Some my argue that the coffin and load of jewels makes up for this. Considering the Star Wars battle back come with four troops PLUS full gear and/ or rides, the coffin and jewels and wings only make up for the lack of ship. Note jewels arnt hard to get, they are ten for a dollar in pick a brick.
Pros, Winged mummy Two mummy fighters. Diamonds and coffin.
Cons, Only three figures for the price of four. Jewels do not make up for the lack of a figure."
"This is a sign LEGO pays attention to the fans. The sets have included relatively few figures and therefore they create an awesome battle pack with FIVE figures! PROS: FIVE figures ($3 per figure). The guns are unique to the series. Great for filling out the playability of the other sets.
"First off let me say how wonderful the rest of this series has been so far as I collect the sets. This has got to be one of highest quality series to come out by LEGO. Good job. Sadly this set just does not live up to the rest of the series. Redundancy in pieces, albeit some new ones, is sad. The build is mostly a repetitive process building the outer part. Only two figures with one being an awesome leader of the alians and a "eh" news reporter. The claw thing just kinda hangs there...yea useful when using it but ruins the symmetry the rest of the time. Playability is certainly high for kids having it not to heavy to zoom around, but as a older fan I cant get over the problems. For little kids go for it. Older kids if you are like me the repetitive pieces, claw and minimal features will lead this piece to the scrap pile quickly.
Save your money for the other sets first please. Sorry LEGO you nailed it with the rest of the series, but hit par here. If you feel different more power to you! =)"
"To be honest this is not a stand alone piece so much as it is a complement to others. For example, there are giant sea monsters within this series that if bought dwarf the minifigures. The way to compensate for an equal distribution of power amongst both sides is with little sets like these. You get a decent figure with quite a large amount of detail, scenery pieces, a little treasure (as with all the sets), and a nice speeder. The speeder can be used as is or as extra pieces for expanding the other sets. The Atlantis series leaves room for modifications and expansions within the sets (see my review on the seabed strider). I would get one set for as is and maybe more if you are feeling adventurous enough to create you own designs based on sets given.
"This is a really nice set for pieces. Gold, barrel, scorpion, bow, spear, sword, and knives are quite cool. The rest makes a good, fancy stand for weapons. Pros: Classic Black Ninja Pieces (including an extra gold piece)
Cons: Kinda expect you to buy more with the two pieces that hook on to other outposts. If you are going to no problem if not kinda annoying.
