"I'm working on a water themed collection, so this made a great addition. With 130 by-the-book steps to complete, this was a challenging build, not difficult, but challenging. There were a lot of smalls, like flowers and such that needed to be placed. The legs designed for the girl don't bend. I can't figure that one out. There are almost a half dozen pieces that aren't attached to anything. The play factor is good. The roof comes off easily. There's several items to use with the minifigures."
"I do build, but bought this set for my son, who's more into computer games and apps than anything. This set he loved, though. It took him about an hour to build it, "… it actually took longer, but I was watching a video while I did it." The Audi must have really grabbed his attention. He normally gets frustrated putting stickers on things, but when I got home the night the package arrived by FedEx, he had it built, complete with stickers, eagerly looking at the product foldout for the next car or truck to build."
"Overall, the look is good. It's definitely something you can play with. During the building, however, there were some difficulties. The two roof pieces proved to be a challenge to put on. I really had to jam the front white piece on there. I'm not happy with the catamaran's sail. It flops over at the top. Putting another hole where the two black lines connect (above the numbers where the orange and blue meet) and securing it with a cap on the mast would solve the problem. I also have problems keeping the catamaran on the trailer, but I think that's just me."
"The race plane went together very easily and looks great. Yes, there are stickers, but nothing says you have to use them. The figure fits easily inside. I'm thinking of buying at least two more to have them flying in formation or hang them to be racing around the ceiling."
"It's a very nice decoration piece, which is what it's supposed to be. The clown (who has no legs) operates very smoothly on the hinge. There's not much "play value" to it as is, but it could be combined with other pieces as the base is green like grass. One complaint is the top piece on the '1' does not fit smoothly and appears to be a slightly different yellow from the rest of the number. Overall, it looks very nice. I'm happy."
"I built the largest first. It went together pretty well. There are a lot of small pieces in this build.
I think, as a play piece, this set offers many variations and possibilities. The opening doors and windows are great. The chair can be indoors or outdoors. There's plenty of free standing pieces for play."
"The helicopter looks great when it's finished! Building it, however, proved to be a bit of a challenge. I actually had to back up a couple of steps when I misplaced a block or two. Attaching the string to the spool, which allows the cargo hook to be raised and lowered, also proved difficult. I don't understand the building that came with the set. It seems to be a place to hide the trophy to be found in an Indiana Jones style adventure. The ATV went together well. I lucked out and got an extra machete in my bag! The minifigures fit well on each piece, being able to hold the handles & control stick with a little care taken to position the hand and arm properly. Once assembled, the set is sturdy and good quality."
