"Okay, I waited in line to see the first Star Wars film back in 1977. I've enjoyed them all. But I've never been a fan of the TIE fighter. I've always thought it had an awkward appearance and looked more like something you play with in a game of lawn darts. This was a gift to me. Loved the Death Star, the UCS X wing and R2D2. The TIE fighter just doesn't do it for me. That's probably more about its design and not so much about Legos execution. Come to think of it, I'll give this product a rating of '5' as the Lego designer accurately captured everything I've never liked about the TIE fighter design. Well done, I suppose......"
"Interesting concept. While if I really wanted to play some serious chess, I wouldn't use this set. However, it is a very interesting concept and displays well."
"I like the first two offerings in this series as they both allow me to do some heavy modifications and incorporate them into a layout with the modular series buildings."
"I've only been into Lego for a few years. But, I've built almost all of the high piece count sets, including the retired ones. Without a doubt, this is one of the best. High piece count, interesting build, power it up for great playability, and it's BIG. Really big. Enough of the 'repetitive build' comments. Most buildings and structures like a ferris wheel are going to have a certain amount of repetitiveness. They have so many symmetrical aspects that they can't help but be repetitive. My only two criticisms are the color selection (not much bright red)......and that's totally subjective. And, I would prefer a one piece base plate. The only build that I enjoyed more than this one was the Death Star. The designer nailed it with this one. Great build, excelled playability for kids and a nice display piece."
".....proving that even a small set can have wonderful detail. Nice representation of the actual building. Lots of beautiful sand green parts, if you're into MOCs. Great AFOL project. Would like to see this in a 4000 piece set!"
"As the modular building series slides back to a less mature market, I want to thank Lego for maintaining the architecture series as a true mature, adult product. The Flatiron building offering is an excellent addition to the architecture series. The build is challenging enough to maintain interest throughout. The colors are spot on and the character of the building is accurately represented by the incorporation of some interesting building techniques. Thanks, Lego, this is a home run."
"This is a well thought out series of products that provides great playability, a fun build and nice detail. The many, many stickers in this series are a necessity to provide the outstanding detail. Not the most challenging build, but fun anyway."
"Nice addition that coordinates well with the rest of the series. Good value for the money, nice design. While I don't particularly care for stickers, they're really necessary on this type of set. Looking forward to more release in this series. Maybe a 4,000 piece Porsche?"
"Wonderful product. The designer who came up with this one did an excellent job. Great detail. Great display with the Ferrari themed truck and other cars in this series."
