Big disappointment
" Out of the all the LEGO sets I own, this is my least favourite next to the Turbo Tank and I do want my money back. Lucas is placing far too big of a price on his products and for this price, you can get much more. I find this set badly designed, an unnecessary addition, and far too expensive.
The good side of this set are the minifigures and in my opinion, the only good thing. Anakin and Obi-Wan are overused and very undetailed. Shaak Ti and Saesee Tiin are nice but $80 CAD for 2 exclusive figures is quite a bad deal. Don't be fooled by the attractive figures.
Although the initial look of the ship is good, I found it to be poorly designed with poor playability features. The fin of this ship has a good one half but the other is simple hideous and unfortunately for this set, it stands out too much. The landing gear is a poor excuse as the ship still tilts easily with it on. The curved pieces around the engines are very week as they crack easily there. The cockpit is the best designed part of the ship but serious, only two minifigures slots, surely they could have made more. The stickers are plain annoying.
This ship proves very poor for play features. There only place you can hold it with aroumd the engines whcih is quite dangerous for the kid considering how their fingers may be caught between the engines and the fin. The only main play features is the fin and the removable cockpit because flick missiles and opening cockpits are part of an average Star Wars ship. The play features themselves are quite boring and I am sure your child will get bored of this set quickly.
Many think this is a big set but it's too small for my taste and I have seen bigger for the same price such as the X-Wing, V-19, and the ARC-170. I also find it unnecessary to pay $80 CAD for a random vehicle shown in the Clone Wars when you could get an iconic one. If you are looking for an $80 ship, get the X-wing. Otherwise do not waste your money on this set. "

As exuberant as the awesome chase scene
" Whether you are a Pirates fan or if you are new to the seieses, this is a surefire-hit set that will satisfy everyone. It includes an excellent pool of minifigures and the whole set itself represents the scene from Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides well. It's definitely a very fun set and well-worth what you are paying for.
To start off, the minifigure pool here is excellent. One thing I like about the Pirates theme is that all its minifigures have amazing detail which at the very least covers the front and back of the torso. Four of the minifigures in this set are currently exclusive with Mr. Gibbs and captain Jack being my favourites here. The figures alone gives excellent value.
The carriages are very well done and well-detailed. The passenger carriage surprisingly has a lot of space for a minifigure to be in and it even has a fun feature where it can flick a minifigure off its roof. The coal carriage has been well-designed as it can easily move towards its fire side while still keeping the other portion well concealed. Plus, each carriage is adorned with authentic lanterns and there are many racks to hold accesories. The carriages are very fun to move around and you will have lots of fun playing with them.
The Captain's Daughter tavern isn't an excellent for its playability but it does win for it's detail. It shows many authentic details and its's very eye-catchy. The walls hold detail on both the inside and outside. The tile with the ship and the Captain's Daughter sign are both great and printed. Overall, an amazingly detailed building.
Aside from the rest of the set, there are a couple of interseting factors. For one, just like Isla de Muerta, the gold pieces aren't of the shiny colour shown on the box but of the colour used for C-3P0. Another thing that was a big surprise to me was how big the poster was. Finally, the code also unlocks a special video that refers to this set and Whitecap Bay.
Overall, this is a very good set and for the $65 CAD pricetag, this is one of the better sets of this price. There is just so much included in this set with minifigures, carriages, buildings, and cool accessories. What more can you ask for?
P.S. For some strange reason. I can no longer do reviews from my nich name superfan01 so I have do my reviews under the nickname of superfan "
