"PROS: Pretty good representation of the ship from the movies given the scale. It is sturdy and swooshable for children to play with and displays well for the adult collectors. This set is one of the genuine few that Lego even made look good from the bottom. hands down the best set from the Last Jedi series as of this review. The play features are solid and the trigger mechanic for the bombs is functional but not distracting from the model's visuals. The figures it includes are nice as well. Overall this model really struck gold on looking good and playing good.
CONS: At $110 it really should have had at least 6 figures. The display base to keep it upright should have been removable. It dosn't ruin the model but it was an easy fix that was ignored."
"PROS: Fun build and pretty movie accurate details. Lots of nooks and play features and good articulation for display and play. No Stickers! It displays well for an adult collector and was satisfying to build.
CONS: Price per part is a little high and should have absolutely come with at least 3 more figures at $150. This is also NOT a swooshable set...picking it up in the wrong spot easily disconnects large sections of the body or panels. Not the best play set for kids."
"PROS: Probably the most accurate UCS build to date. They really went all out making the details match the source and considering that the Snowspeeder has had 15 various releases they seem to have culminated in this one. The details really work and the build was clever and challenging. The parts are great with lots of unique and rare pieces they provide details with a minimum of decorated elements. Very satisfying to assemble. EXCELLENT display quality. Wonderful inside details including controls and seating gear. It even has a rotating grapple gun that respond to the cockpit controls.
CONS: UCS sets shouldn't have stickers...for the price these elements should really be printed. This set is also NOT swooshable as any attempt to play with it will result in something falling apart. That is a small thing as it is designed for adults to display but my nephew who is 8 seemed to think it was a flaw. :) The price is slightly too high for the part count...something that seems to be a theme in the recent UCS sets.
MIXED: The inclusion of some exclusive figures has me debating myself. The figures are nice but they seem out of place in a non-figure scale set. They don't look good on display with the set but are welcome additions to the rebel army...overall they felt like an attempt to get figure scale people to but the set rather than an actual contribution to the set."
"Pros: Decent build and challenge with a good display factor for the adult collector. Well built and swooshable for the play factor. Includes firing blasters for fun space battles. Opens up for some movie accurate scene recreations from Force Awakens. The figures are pretty good with a Snoke finally making the scene. Details are pretty good given the scale. One of the better capital ship play sets.
Cons: The front of the ship is missing something...and admittedly it would be a challenge to fix but it was an iconic feature that they didn't get quite right."
"This set is ALL about the figures which are great. A couple good Jedi and MORE CLONES!!! It is a very playable set...even if it isn't anything canon. The vehicle build is interesting but I'll be honest...I rebuild this one. It's a decent set and a decent price for what you get. The build has some fairly scarce parts in some good colors. The figures though are worth buying it."
"Great figures, a vehicle that actually matches the movie source and some fun shooting blasters. A little over priced as the part count is closer to the Micro Fighter sets but worth it for the new troopers. It also displays well for the battle packs."
"Love the figures...especially Luke with his meditation face. This is a nice set for both display and play. It has many simple features that help bring the scene to life...including ways to pose the figures like in the film. The hut has some clever uses of parts to achieve the movie feel and the set is quite solid on completion. The price feels about right and there are some good rare parts for those technical builders in this set. Even as a smaller set this was one of the years highlights."
"The figures are the main draw of this set...without getting the Falcon it is the best way to find a young Han. Also I like the alien dog thing. The set has some fun build techniques and displays well. It is solid and quite playable as well. And given the previews it looks like the source material. It has some good play features including hidden storage and a mechanic access to take out the engine and let Han modify it. The only complaint is this set should have been $20-$25. Which is what I paid on sale. It is not quite enough to pay full price. It is a solid addition to the collection and worth it just for the figures and space dog."
"This set may be slightly over priced but it is a great model overall. Got pretty close to the source material and was a nice update to a vehicle we have not seen in too long in mini-fig scale. Hopefully we'll see more of the classic TIE Fighters in the future. The set displays well and has some nice figures. It looks great next to the 75101 First Order version. It is well built and doesn't fall apart too easily. The modular design makes for easy battle damage and can be modified into other TIE models like the Interceptor. This feels like the kind of sets we have come to expect from Lego. A solid entry for the collector."
"The play value in this set is to recreate the scene in the movie. The best part of the scene was the AT-ST ripping its own head off. Since the model is essentially incomplete that part cannot be recreated. As an adult I like to display them and given the incomplete nature of the model it is a miserable display piece. As for the price point it was a $30 value tops...not $40. Less than two years ago we got the Rouge One AT-ST 75153 at the same price with 80 more parts and a head on the model...this set feels like corners were cut in all the wrong places. They should have made the AT-ST complete, dropped the elevator that doesn't go high enough to access the model and made the head detachable. This set felt like a throw away...and given the choice to include the 3 most worthless characters in the movie maybe it was appropriate. Finn, Rose and Phasma added nothing to the film and this set adds nothing to the Lego Star Wars collection. Sorry Lego this one was a wide miss from the target."
