"There were some pieces I wanted for making MOCs. So, I bought two of these little sets on sale and that made the value very good for me. It is a fun little build to add to a ninjago collection if you have one going."
"This set falls apart in a heartbeat. It is very finicky to assemble. At the very least, at the very very least, Lego could have made a clear 1x3 plate or 1x4 plate or specifically a clear 1x6 plate to hold the umpteen little 1x1 blocks and plates together. Making this bottle out of so many, and I do mean many many 1x1 plates and 1x2 plates was just not the right thing to do. I assume Lego needed to stay under a certain selling price point and thus the shortcuts in what could have been a quality build that actually holds together and would look better. In the end, I am somewhat happy I am now in possession of Lego bottle that I can fill with MOCs."
"You get 15 mix and match minifigs. You get a dog. It is off leash, oops. And no frisbee. Oh well ... ha ha ha ... not complaining. Oh and sorry, no cats on the beach! But you get a lobster and a fish and dolphin. Oh yeah, you get a big kayak and a wind board with the coolest sail. You can build a hammock with the few elements that are provided or with any Lego elements you have at home. Make it a part of your porch or backyard or deck. The metal detector piece is a brilliant idea. This set is a delight to the young and old. Beginner and expert. I love it. My only regret is that when Lego gives a figure a hat or other headpiece is that they do not include a hairpiece accessory as well. Do not let that stop you from enjoying this set."
"I guess if you want a ruler to go with your Lego office stuff this is good for you. I bought it for the ruler elements that came with the set. They are good, but, it is a pricey way to get those elements. I was unhappy with the 2 white plates that came with this set as they were flimsy and warped and would not lay flat. Is this really Lego?"
"I think this set should make any child happy. It makes me happy to have the building instructions in front of me instead. Convenient, as I will certainly use them again for other projects. There is a old technical design element I have never seen or used before and I will order more of them from Bricks and Pieces soon. However, I was very very very disappointed that there was only one sticker for only one side of each tail fin. How much more would it have cost to have supplied a sticker for both sides of the fin? It is just sad that either someone wanted to save a fraction of a cent or just didn't think it would matter. Sometimes overlooking just one little detail can make a big difference to someone. Oh well."
"I bought it because it is cheaper and easier and faster than buying the individual green elements and a some other pieces I wanted to have for my other projects. But, I always build and rebuild a 3 in 1 set to learn or relearn techniques my old brain my have forgotten. I am a big fan of Lego Mixels and Creator Creatures. This set is excellent. The reptile head and dinosaur creation are special. The pieces are pretty standard and if you want to have all three builds to play with at one time, you probably have all the pieces you need from your old Mixel or Creature sets. Have Fun."
"I ordered six minifigs with a dimensions product. I got two spooky guys - two spies and two banana guys ... I am not happy about this ... the same thing happened the last time I ordered 10 or 12 online and got a whack of duplicates. Very annoying."
excellent technical detail and learning experience
"This was the first time I had purchased and built a technic set. I wanted some more technic pieces for my own builds and saw that buying this set would be more cost effective than buying bricks and pieces. WOW. You get two builds. Build number one was fun and challenging. But, the smaller build number two was even more challenging. I learned a lot. I loved it and because of that I bought a set for a friend."
