excellent technical detail and learning experience
"This was the first time I had purchased and built a technic set. I wanted some more technic pieces for my own builds and saw that buying this set would be more cost effective than buying bricks and pieces. WOW. You get two builds. Build number one was fun and challenging. But, the smaller build number two was even more challenging. I learned a lot. I loved it and because of that I bought a set for a friend."
"I love the gold 2x2 bricks in here. They are great for building. I use the 1x2 transparent yellow bricks often. I wish Lego had a good selection of gold bricks that I could purchase throughout the year."
"I was truly hoping for a NEW winter holiday set for display. Something like the Gingerbread House that did so well on Lego ideas. Or maybe some singers in front of a strip mall bakery food court setting or ice skating rink with a bonfire. If you are looking for a play set this may not be right for you. It is much more of a display set or a set to take apart after the holidays are done and make something else with. You know ... you make it ... you break it ... and make it a new toy."
"I think printed tiles for the clock numbers instead of decals would have given the clock a better look. And, element 6022445 printed 1x4 tile for the two 1x4 boards for across the windows would have improved the overall look again. Otherwise, well done. Good building techniques to learn from and great elements to use for future personal building. Loved it."
"It is a teaching set that seems to want to teach you how to play with Lego.I think it needs to have way more real instructions on how to use some of the pieces that are included. If you add up the cost of separate pieces your Pick A Brick value is OK. There are some collectible pieces and unique pieces that are great to get. But, overall this set di not meet my expectations."
