Great addition
" The set was really easy to build, under a half an hour. There's a lot of detail to it for such a small set, cash register with bottles to sell, the clock on the building, the train map and more.
The set comes with four minifigs, the standard railroad employee, along with three waiting passengers which will make nice additions to your Lego city.
The taxi is only four wide so it will not fit in with other larger city vehicles, but that was easily fixed. The per brick price is nearly 14 cents which is average for this theme.

A fun set to build
" I've built the other two versions of this set. This one is by far the best. It went together in under two hours. The set uses a number of new bricks that weren't available it other Slave I sets. The new bricks really give the ship a much smoother look.
Once assembled the ship is very sturdy and has a much more solid feel to the way things move. The three minifigs look great. But the best feature is the Han Solo in carbonite brick, so much cooler than the first one.

Fun set to build
" This set took me three evenings to build and one to add different motors. If you think you've seen it all with Technic sets and the way their constructed, you have to try this one. It took three nights due to the complexity, not the number of parts (The mobile crane with 1289 parts only took two nights).
Plan on purchasing at least two XL motors to add to this set. The motors that come with the set just aren't strong enough. Once together this set is a lot of fun and makes use of the new linear actuators. Originally there was an issue with these but Lego has made a correction and all sets sold now have the new and improved versions.
This set is very true to the actual excavator, it is a blast to play with and holds up very well considering all the moving parts it has.
The allternate model the "Track Loader" I passed on. It was just a smaller less playable version of the 8275 bulldozer.
At a per brick price of nearly 18 cents it's an exspensive set, but has a lot to teach as far as building methods, and with four linear actuators, and all the PF motors, battery box, remotes, and receivers, it's still a good purchase.

Plenty of bricks
" Like the "Road Construction" set (#6187), this is a great set for new Lego builders or those moving from Duplo to standard Lego.
The instructions are well laid out with younger builders in mind. The instructions include the four vehicles, the garage, gas pump, and the tool rack. Other versions of the vehicles are shown giving additional things to build. All except the race car the minifig fits in each one. The set includes a pull back motor which is a nice added feature.
The price seems a little high, but at under 7 cents per brick, your getting a lot of bricks.

Nice selection
" I liked this set, to me it was more of a "Kingdoms" accessory set, then an advent calendar.
You get 9 minifigs total;
3 knights, 1 with the new style helmet.
1 squire (I think that's what he is)
1 black smith
1 Queen
1 Skeleton
1 wizard
1 maiden
There's a ton of weapons;
4 spears
1 crossbow
2 knives
3 swords
2 battle axes
1 mace
Some nice odds and ends.
A treasure chest, a few gems, a pair of handcuffs, a suite of armor, a shield, a rare pig, etc.
At around 21 cents a brick this is a pricey set, but if you need some accessories for your "Medieval Market Village", or "Kingdoms" sets, this one has a lot to offer. "

Another great calendar
" This is my third year of buying the advent calendar. I of course had to open it right away. Some of the more notable items are;
snowboard
drum set
Skate board, ramp and rail.
Snowman
Small train with Santa
A naked Santa taking a shower
Micro scale (minifig toys) Helicopter,
Fire engine, airplane, crane, and a bulldozer.
All of the micro scale sets are going in my winter
toy store display. Should look great.

Nice variety
" I was surprised by the different types of tires that came with this set.
You get four different types of axles for the larger tire (4 each). And four different axles for the smaller tires (2 of one kind 4 each of the other three).
There are five different sizes of tires (38 total). Three different small ones, and two types of large ones. The largest is the 30.4 x 14 which you get 6 of.
If your looking to build up your supply of tires your going to end up with a lot of small ones and only a few larger ones.
At a per brick (or tire) price of around 12 cents it's not to exspensive of a set.

A good beginners set
" If you have a child that's a first time Lego builder, or one that would like to move from Duplo to standard Lego, this is a good set to start with.
The instructions are broken down between the three different vehicles. Starting with the steamroller, the simplest. The the front end loader, and finelly the dump truck. Which a very young builder may need some help with. The instructions show ideas for other vehicles and things to build with the set.
This is an inexpensive set at a very low per brick price of under 7 cents.

A great series
" The theme to this series of minifigs is attention to detail and great accessories.
1) Mexican
You get three maracas, and the authentic looking poncho covers the front and back. The green sombrero has a gold design around the rim the really looks nice.
2) Spartan
The helmet is the best item of the minifig. The bronze armor has very authentic looking pattern along with matching cape and shield. The two color spear will be must for any Lego weapons collector.
3) Ringmaster
This is one of those minifigs that just makes you smile. He has one of the best faces of this series. With his red shirt and white whip, you can almost hear the circus music playing.
4) Witch
Nice detail on her evil face and body. She has a spell book with a frog on it and a potion printed on her front.
5) Vampire
With white hands and face this vampire really looks the part. His cape has a high collar and his hair is straight out of a horror movie.
6) Traffic Cop
Another great face, the glasses really make him look like he’s a cop. Fine printing on his shirt displays his badge and a mic for his radio. He comes with a detailed traffic ticket and two pairs of cuffs.
7) Jungle Explorer
With a bushy mustache, bottle on his chest and pockets on his legs, he looks like he’s ready to explore the deep dark jungle. He comes with two binoculars and a magnifying glass.
8) Lifeguard
Straight from TV, comes this blonde life saving minifig. She has one of the newer hair styles and has the first rescue board that I’ve seen. Makes me want to build a swimming pool.
9) Mime Artist
Strictly a black and white minifig. He comes with three heads for sadness, fear and joy. He comes with a black beret, I can see this being used for a special ops minifig. Every Lego city needs a mime on the street corner.
10) Weightlifter
He’s dressed in a lime green outfit and has a great expression of effort on his face. The weights come in three pieces and the bar is the newer short rod. He also sports the newer ruffled hair style.
11) Pop Star
With a pink outfit that includes a necklace and buckles on her pants, she looks like she pack any concert hall. Her makeup matches her out fit. She has the newer style hair and comes with two microphones.
12) Skier
This minifig has some of the nicest accessories. He comes with three ski poles, a new style of skies and a stocking cap. His hands are red (gloves) and his torso is highly detailed right down to his zipper.
13) DJ
This guy is right out of a 70’s disco movie. He’s got the white disco outfit, a hairy chest and gold necklace. He’s has the black hair from the series 1 clown, and a tile that says “Brick fever” on it.
14) Karate Master
He’s dressed in his white Gi with stitching in the front and wearing his black belt. He has a very stern look on his face that makes you think twice about messing with this guy. You get two gold trophies that are going to be seen in a lot of other builds.
15) Surfer
This surfer dude comes with an awesome printed surf board that matches his shorts. He has a new windblown hair style. His torso shows off his muscular upper body.
16) Pharaoh
Once again, great detail on the body, Egyptian symbols on the chest, gold piping on the torso and legs. The head dress is much more detailed than in past minifigs. The snake scepter really looks cool and is what really made this set for me.
